- Mark Bowe has defined his career as an entrepreneur through the use of strong business acumen combined with down home common sense. In his working life, Mark has endured conditions of underground coal mines, felt the euphoric highs of growing a successful construction company, as well as the pains of a slowly dying niche business. Mark lives in Lewisburg, WV with his wife Cindy and son Atticus. He is a closet break dancer and a shameless self-promoter. Mark can be seen around town giving hugs to friends and strangers with equal embrace.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. I really enjoyed his speech. I watch his show Barnwood Builders regularly. Mark seems to be a very wise and humble man. Hope to meet him one day.
As a bloke who lives in the UK but visits Nova Scotia every year, I can tell you there is such a difference in life styles between the two countries. In Britain there are NO front porches thats probably the reason why parts of the UK are so voilent. I love going to Canada and I think Mark will agree, people are so friendly there and across the USA. I plan to build my retirement bungalow in the future and do you know what? Im going to put a front porch on it. Well said Mark
