I think Marshall is a clear winner
BOSE more balanced and clearer, Marshall just all bass. 90% experienced sound engineer, sound director, those who have/(born with) good ears will vote for BOSE. Patzers, newbies, noobs, clueless ppl, followers, always think more bass = better. A good speaker is well balanced one. "In every aspects of life everything have to be well balanced"

실제 청음해보고 왔습니다. 이 유투브 채널이 저의 결정을 내리는데 있어서 적지 않은 도움을 주었고
많은 분들이 저같이 이 영상을 보면서 고민을 하실거 같아서 그냥 한번 글 끄적여봅니다.
저는 결국 휴대성을 고려해 Mini2 를 구매하였지만,
이 결정을 내리기 전까지 이 유투브 페이지는 물론이거니와 정말 수많은 사이트들 서핑하고 다녔고
그 기나긴 고민끝내 내린 결정이였으나 너무 믿진 마시고 참고 해주시는 정도만 .. ?
킬번은 아쉽게도 작동하지 않았지만 액톤과 거의 비슷한 스펙으로 알고있어서 그냥 대체 했습니다.
Bose soundlink mini2 , Marshall Acton, Marshall StockWell 을 정말 지겹도록 들어봤는데요
여기서는 mini2 와 Acton 만 있으니 이 둘만 우선 비교해보겠습니다.
저렇게 사진으로 보면 Acton 이 어느정도 사이즈인지 감이 안오실거같아요.
크기는 실제로 비교해보시는게 낫겠지만, 압도적으로 Mini가 작습니다. 정말 휴대하기 좋을정도로 작습니다.
Acton 은 생각보다 큽니다. 말 그대로 실내 스피커. 디자인이 매우 훌륭했습니다 !
Acton 이 사람 머리만 하달까요 ? 그정도라면 Mini 는 게토레이 600ml 페트보다 조금 작은정도 ?
대충 어느정도인지 사이즈 나오시죠 ??
소리는 Mini 에 우선 깜짝놀랬습니다. 이정도 크기에서 이런 미친 소리가 나오다니 ..!
괜히 Bose Bose 하는게 아니였습니다. 진짜 작은 사이즈에서 나오는 소리는 제가 표현력이 떨어져 표현에 한계가있지만
정말 소리의 공간감이 느껴지는 소리였습니다. 어떤 플라스틱 네모난 상자에서 투투투툭 튀어나오는 소리가 아니라
공간감이 있는 소리가 느껴졌습니다. 거기에 목소리도 잘 들리구요. 다만 저음부와 목소리부분이 잘 혼합은 되나
그 사이소리가 조금빠진게 아닌가 느껴졌습니다.
Acton 은 Mini 의 업그레이드처럼 느껴졌습니다. 크기도 있다보니 울림도 좋고 우선 정말 스피커는 크기가 깡패다 라는걸
다시한번 느끼게 되었습니다. 정말 크면서 울림통도 있으니 소리가 달라졌습니다.
Acton 도 공간감이 느껴지는 소리였고 목소리도 잘 들렸습니다.
대신 Mini 에서 부족했던 저음과 목소리 사이의 다른 소리들을 잘 잡아주었습니다.
그냥 정말 프로페셔널하게 들으실거 아니면 Mini 의 업그레이드 버전이 Acton 이라고 보면 될거같습니다.
( 여기서 뭐 Bose 는 베이스가 강조됬다 뭐 Marshall 은 어쨌다 이런이야기 하지 말아주세요 저도 다 아는 부분이고
디테일하게 민감한 사람 아니면 그냥 그렇게 봐도 무방할 정도다 라고 느껴질 정도였습니다. )
마치 Bose 가 커지고 Marshall 틱 하게 디자인이 엄청 이뻐진거 ??
그러니 여러분 너무 고민 하지 마시구요,
만약 휴대 고려하시면 Bose 사시구 실내에서 사용하실거면 Acton 쓰세요.
( Marshall 정품으로 사면 가격 미칩니다. 물론 강남 G Sound Lab 이였나 ? 여기서 청음했는데
38만원 이더라구요 Acton 가격이. Kilburn 45정도 StockWell 42. )
Mini 현재 인터넷에서 사사 오프라인에서 사나 할인이라서 25.9~ 26.9 정도하는데 이거 케이스 씌운다고하면 30 찍습니다.
위에 적은것처럼 저처럼 들고다니고 싶으신분은 Mini,
집에서 듣고싶으신 분들은 그냥 볼것도 없이 Acton 가면 됩니다.
원래 StockWell 안적을려고 했는데...
그냥 StockWell 솔직히 왜 나왔는지 모르겠습니다...
저는 크기가 작을줄 알았는데 그냥 Kilburn 의 가로길이에 Kilburn 을 앞뒤로만 압축한거같은 느낌이였습니다.
소리도 아무래도 울림통도 작고 그러다보니까 오히려 소리가 약간 JBL 의 Charge2 처럼 들렸달까 ..?
무튼 가격은 Mini 의 거의 1.7배정도 하는데 소리는 오히려 Mini 더 못난 ..
그리고 휴대성을 강조했다는데 너무커서 들고다닐수도 없습니다 ...
이거 들고다니면 오히려 더 이상하게 볼거같은 느낌 .. ?
StockWell 들고다닐 수 있을 정도면 Kilburn 도 들고다닐 수 있는 상황입니다.
Kilburn 은 못들어 봤지만 Acton 과 비슷하다기에 그냥 그럴빠에는 Kilburn 사는게 낫습니다..
StockWell 을 휴대용으로 산다면 정말 비추.. 비싸고 Mini 보다 못한 소리를 내며
Mini 보다 훨 무겁고 들고다니기 힘든 이상한 제품
아 적다보니 음 .... 생각을 해보면 또 뭐 어디서 자기의 음악을 들려줘야 한다거나 ( 마치 자기를 회사에 알리기 위해서라든지 ..? )
그런사람들이 정말 간단하게 가방에 다른 뭐 공연도구랑해서 들고 다닐 수는 있을거 같지만 ....
그런 중요한 거라면 다른 짐도 많을텐데 힘 좀더 써서 스트랩있는 Kilburn 들고 다닐거 같네요 ..
결국 StockWell 살빠에야 Kilburn 사는게 더 낫겠다..
이런 결론은 지극히 제 개인적인 생각이고 현재 저의 입장에서 제 주변 상황이나 앞으로 있을 일 같은것들을 고려해서
위와 같은 결론들을 내렸기 때문에 그냥 참조 정도만 해주시면 감사하겠습니다 !!
( 근데 소리는 진짜로 ... StockWell 자체로 그냥 두고 들으면 그냥 나쁘지 않은데 뭔가 이상하다 ..?는 느낌 ?
근데 Mini 나 Acton 이랑 비교해보면 ... 좀 못들어 줄정도는 아닌데 듣기 싫어지는 .. ? 그런 느낌 .. ?)

질문해주신 acton 과 killburn 의 차이점은 우선 제가 강남 신세계였나 ..?
거기 백화점에서 marshall 매장가서 직원분께서 설명해주신 대로라면,
' acton 은 약간 구형 으로 치고 acton 에 휴대성을 보완해서 조금 작게 그리고 스트랩을 달아서 나온게 killburn 이라고 합니다. 둘다 음향은 거의 차이없다고 말을 해주셨구요. 스팩은 차이없다고 말씀 해주셨습니다. ( 마지막에 언급된 스펙은 제가 직접 찾아본것이 아닌, 매장 직원분이 설명해주신 것입니다. 따라서 실제 스펙이 다를수도 있는점 참고 바랍니다.) '
제가 아쉽게도 해당 백화점 매장은 공간도 엄청 넓고, 주변에 시끄러워서 조용한 환경에서 제대로 청음을 할 수 있는 상황이 아니였습니다. 또한 제가 mini를 청음했던 매장에선 아쉽게도 acton 만 동작하고 killburn 은 충전문제였나 .. ? 아무튼 정확히 기억은 안나는데 killburn 은 청음을 할 수가 없었습니다.
다만 제 개인적인 견해로는 둘의 크기가 별로 차이가 안나보이지만 생각보다 좀 납니다. 두개를 비교해서보면 killburn 은 ' 억지로라도 들고다니면 들고다니겠다 ~ ' 싶지만 acton 은 보면 ' 아 들고다니기는 힘들겠다. ' 라는 생각이 듭니다.
소리로만 비교한다면 들어보지는 못했지만 확실히 스피커는 울림통이 큰게 음질이 더 좋은게 확실한것 같습니다.
따라서 둘중에 고민하신다면,
정말 나는 스피커를 들고다닐 일이 없다 하면 acton
나는 차가 있어서 야외에서도 들을일이 있다 하면 killburn 을 추천합니다.
( 왜 차라는 이야기를 했냐면, killburn 도 휴대용 이라고 하지만 절대 가방같은대에 넣고 다닐만한 크기도
무게도 아닌것 같습니다. 휴대용이라면 정말 가지고 다니기 좋음을 뜻하니까요. 제가산 mini 도 은근 무게가 나가기에 크기가 작은게 정말 다행인것 같습니다. )
하지만 나는 차가 없어서 killburn 을 들고다녀야 한다. 그러면 휴대성을 그냥 과감히 포기하고 acton 을 구매하시던가 아니면 아예 방향을 바꾸어서 mini 를 사시는게 맞다고 봅니다.
왜냐하면 mini도 stockwell 보단 좋고 acton 보단 덜한 소리이지만 충분히 좋은 소리를 가지고 있고, acton 이 killburn 보다 싼 가격에 올라와있기 때문이죠. 그래서 차라리 차가 있다면 killburn 을 휴대할 수 있지만 그게 아니라면 실질적으로 휴대성이라는 장점은 사라지기에 그냥 실내용으로 사시던지 혹은 아예 휴대성으로 가시는것을 추천하는 바입니다 !

KY H 답변 감사합니다! 역시 저가 생각한대로 스팩자체는 큰차이가 안나지만, 휴대용느낌이 강한게 killburn이군요. 현제 저는 mini2를 가지고있고 아주 잘사용하고있습니다. 말씀하신대로 작아서 가방안에 넣고다닐수있어서 휴대용으로 사용하기 아주 편리하죠. 한가지 아쉬운게있다면 실내에서는 잘들리지만, 실외에서 사용하기에는 약하다는 느낌이들어서..실외에서도 좋은 휴대용 스피커를 구매를해볼가?..하는 마음에 찾아보는도중 killburn이 눈에 들어왔네요.
만일 사게된다면 가격이 심하게 차이 안나는 killburn을 사게될것같네요 ㅎㅎ 도움이 많이됐습니다. 감사합니다.

Warning for all people who are still deciding between these two:
After watching this video and read a lot of reviews, I went with the Acton speaker and yes, it's more powerful. BUT as I just want a "portable" speaker to use in small areas (kitchen, living room) I decided to test the Bose Soundlink Mini II at the store and in my opinion (I'm not a Bose "fanboy", it's my first Bose product) the latter as a more natural and defined sound (and more impactful, IMO) . I returned the Acton and exchanged it for a Bose Soudlink, I couldn't be happier. Test both before you buy, this video can be a bit misleading.

This video is absolutely misleading. I have many friends which are using the Bose Box. It is still one of the global players for its size and its worth its price. And it does not sound the way as it is presented here.

I own both of these. Sound quality is about the same. The Marshall is definitely louder though. That being said the Bose is less than half the size. Overall these are both excellent, with the differences being price (the Marshall costs less) and the Bose is chargeable whereas the Marshall must be plugged in.
the marshall is better in this comparison but personally i would not be cross shopping these two. comparisons should be made by size as well as cost.
The Bose sounds like a plastic kazoo next to Marshall's big band experience!
Well, the Bose sounds way clearer and I like that. For some reason most people in the comment section think the Marshall is better. Not my opinion, just ordered the Mini 2 on Amazon.

Ter Rett well if you were a sound engineer you would know that different people prefer different sounds, thus the reason so many manufacturers. Buy the one that sounds better to you. Who gives a fuck if you have noob ears. Don't be a pretentious snob.
The soundstage feeling of the Acton is a thousand times better, period. Not to mention that it is ridiculosly powerful for such a small speaker, crispy studio signature along with an amazing bass and sound quality. But hey that's just me, who the hell am I to argue with a "sound engineer", i'm just a humble connoisseur and guitar player.
BOSE is undoubtedly great but their speakers (like this one) are kinda overrated for the price and not as powerful, they definitely know how to make great headphones though. Honestly, Marshall products will hardly make a difference to someone who listens to normie music at mid-range, if you fit and are also annoyed by the fact that there is no battery (it wouldn't last very long) then this is obviously not for you.

I just bought one at Costco today and I love it...
I bought the Acton brand new for $110. Totally satisfied. It sounds amazing, and I own Bose too. The bass is very, very powerful, very loud volume, hard to believe the sound is coming from a small speaker. perfectly crisp highs. Its a work of art, the lightweight Bose plastic is no comparison to the sturdy metal buttons, leather like wrapping, cloth front, etc. The Bose is only better if portability is your main concern.

You are lucky. I bought mine for 150$ can. at costco in Quebec. The Bose was 200$, I do not regret my purchase.
All are wrong. Bose is clear winner. If the sound is too deep we can’t listen too long time. And Marshall soundstage is squeezed and uni directional. Bass does not matter. So Bose is excellent.

미니가 구린건 절대 아닙니다. 저 크기에서 저정도 사운드가 나오는건 놀라운 일이기 때문입니다.
The Marshall Stanmore is hands down better than the Sound Link Mini. I returned my Mini within two days of owning it because it doesn't have the power to fill a room. I currently own the Stanmore, Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 2 and the Bose Soundlink III and the Stanmore run circles around them both. I also got a steal on the Stanmore $78.00 at Dillards on New Years Day 2017. What a great year so far. (the Studio 2 is really good but not as good as the Stanmore because it distorts at high volume and songs with heavy bass).
its like comparing the comfort of lexus sedan and nissan cube. next compare the smallest mini bose and harman/kardon theatre surround sound..it will be cool.

im a bose fan i owned several bose products then the other day i went to sams club with my wife and i immediately went to the electronic system then i saw this bluetooth speaker system called thonet and vander a german made speaker they sell for $179 so i was playing around with it and boy this was closed to bose or i say the same quality sounding sytem the high and lows are crisp and good bass so im looking forward to buy next time but the only con was it was more or like bookshelf where you have a 2 cubes and subwoofer but 300 watts of power this is a good system and good for gaming or hook up to a tv or just listen to music check it out!

This guy has intentionally messed up the sound quality. That's not the sound of mini2 look around and you will hear a different profile. That Bose model is generally has more bass and low sounding treble.

음 영상으로는 두 스피커의 특색이 잘안드러난거같아서 고민하시는분들을 위해 몇자적어봅니다!
일단 보스미니는 작지만 울림통이굉장히 큽니다! 다르게말하면 저음이 풍부하면서도 퍼지는듯한 베이스음을 가지고있어요 단 보컬의 맑은 소리나 해상력은 상당히 떨어지는 경향이 있습니다. 따라서 공간을 풍부하게 채워주는 베이스와 신나는 음악을 좋아하신다면 추천해드리지만 섬세하고 감성적인 음악을 좋아하시는분들은 고민을 해보셔야 될거같아요!
마샬 액톤은 제가 처음들었을때느낀건 '플랫하다' 입니다! 벨런스가 상당히 좋게 느껴졌어요. 대부분의 블루투스 스피커가 저음위주가 많아서 보컬의 시원함이 많이 묻히기 마련이데 액톤은 저음과 보컬과 고음 전체적인 벨런스가 아주좋았어요! (단 저음은 넓고 풍부하기보다는 단단하고 타격감있는 느낌이였어요) 그리고 액톤은 추가적으로 소리를 조절할수있는 레버가 있기때문에 소리를 입맛에맞게 약간씩은 조절할수도 있습니다.
두 제품을 비교하자면 위에서 말했듯이 보스는 저음위주에 넓고 풍부한 음을 가지고있다면 액톤은 깔끔하고 플랫한 소리를 가지고있습니다. 그리고 미니는 크기가 작고 배터리형식이여서 휴대성이 상당히 좋구요(크기에 비해 가볍지는 않습니다) 액톤은 블루투스 스피커지만 배터리가 없어 전원플러그를 꼭 연결해줘야 되기때문에 휴대용으로는 적합하지않습니다(방이나 거실에 인테리어겸 음감용으로 전시해두면 좋아요!) 가격은 마샬제품이 해외직구가 풀리면서 가격이 반토막이 났기때문에 액톤은 20만원이면 구매가 가능하고요 미니는 아마 26만~ 쯤 되는거같습니다!
사실 음향기기는 개인취향을 많이타기때문에 직접 들어보시고 비교해보시는게 가장좋으실텐데 집근처 하이마트나 전자매장 가보시면 요즘 미니나 액톤같은 인기상품들은 대부분 청음이 가능하도록 전시를 해놓습니다! 꼭 들어보시고 결정하시길 바랍니다 ㅎㅎ
ps. 킬번을 궁금해하시는 분들이 있는거같은데 킬번은 휴대성을 높이기위해 배터리가 들어갔고 손잡이가 달려있어요! 크기는 액톤하고 비슷하고 소리는 액톤하고 거의 판박이입니다ㅎㅎ 가격은 몇만원더 비싸요~

This is a limitation of youtube regarding sound quality. How many of you can tell which sound is from which with your eyes close? This comparison is meaningless, plus you gotta compare the same "weight" level. This is like Tyson fighting Mayweather.

Damn bose and their crappy stand by battery software. Had to throw my SL1 Away because the unit wouldn't charge after draining it below a certain threshold... .. and guess whT? Soundlink 2 special edition has it's battery soldered onto the PCB!!! NO LONGER modular. Crappy software forces you to go through their crappy warranty.
