could you do an explanation on how to properly counter kicks with attacks on reaction? I see a lot of comments/posts stating it's doable, but when I perform it, I fail ~90% of the time. The UI literally says 'counter', but then I get kicked out of it and I'm staggered, to me it feel reeealy inconsistent
you can do it on reaction but it's far more consistent as a read against someone who kicks consistently also you need a low ping for it to work (sub 40), otherwise you'll always miss the window
You aren't necessarily countering kicks, you're just countering to exit your block faster. This is a great option against kicks, but you need to be fast.
@@SoterDave yes, I do understand it (btw my ping is usually ~20), but I laso know people can perform counter to avoid getting kicked. This is a move I cannot perfrom consistently - as mentioned above, on my end it looks like I'm getting kicked out of counter, not block
@@dziarskihenk8798Hey I think i know what ur asking, and what u might be missing is reading the kick to begin with, thats how i do it and i punish way more than go thru, theyre gonna kick when you hold block, theyre close enough, usually on a straightaway not in a moving battle, and also if you feel like ur nor sure just throw out a counter and even if its not a kick ur still protected for the most part
Do jabs counter kicks ? I mean by that if your opponents kicks you and you do a jab what happens ? I asked during a match and someone answered you could jab a kick without taking damage but i have yet to try.
If you successfully land a kick, your recovery is made instant so you should be able to just block. But if you miss the kick, then you'll go into recovery and you will not be able to avoid the stab.

Hmm. I can, but it would be a little underwhelming. This technique is also very dependent on the weapon

Jabs do not necessarily counter kicks. They do stun while kicks do not stun, but they have a shorter range and less knockback.

If you successfully land a kick, your recovery is made instant so you should be able to just block. But if you miss the kick, then you'll go into recovery and you will not be able to avoid the stab.
Kicks are lunchtime 90% of the time. Love it when people kick.
