So many people play archer and don’t realize how powerful they are I shoot people stay way behind my team where the spawns are and wait for salty people to come and kill me and my teammates almost always kill them or I shoot them and just watch as they seethe I’ve dropped 50 kill 3 death games doing this shit lmao
One of the big advantages I’ve noticed in using the standard bow, is that you move quicker and your high rate of fire allows for better short range combat. Don’t be afraid to stay in the capture zone, your bow can be used as a melee weapon and most melee classes don’t expect it.
That is true! I have just noticed that when I am using a warbow those archers in a cap zone easily get donked with the heavy hitting arrow! I do like the fast draw on the normal bow, but the warbow gives satisfaction when you dome someone in one shot and knock em out!
Thats actually free kill to any not newbie melee fighter. If someone getting close to you and if you dont want to run, try secondary for counters. There is absolutely no logic behind fighting melee vs melee against dane axe with bow. Yes probably nobody will expect it but its not halberd right? You'll still die anyways.
@@ataberkkose6266 that one is a bit tricky tho... in reality almost noone, regardless of being new or not - tents to expect all and anything LESS than an instant melee from bowmen. Just so the stastistics of archers actually bow smacking faces are quite low (which itself makes people confident as almost unaware such feature even exists, even archers themselves don't let alone melee mains). That creates an opportunity to utilize melee on everyone once in a while without overusing while staying efficient, other troops have alot more on their mind other that your quirk to keep
Archer tips: With the shortbow try to play hyrbid melee. Harrass before each engagement and look out for easy kills on retreating enemies, but when you have no opportunities for clear shots you can do great work supporting your allies in melee. Switch EARLY, dont wait till the enemy is rushing your face before swapping weapon otherwise you will give them a free hit you cant afford to take. The shortbow excels at being opportunistic, so always be positioning yourself in awkward spots where you're just close enough to the action that the enemy cant reasonably disengage without being shot, but also just far enough back that they cant fully focus on you without being intercepted by your team. In the bigger fights your job is to prevent the enemy from healing and to punish them for flanking. Longbow is slow af and as such you need to fight from a bit further back, which lowers your chances at opportunistic shots. Instead you want to play as a counter-archer primarily but remember that hitting an enemy archer that is aware of you can be a waste of time, as they will evade the shots easy. Instead you want to try to stealthkill them, but as soon as they are aware of you, switch targets whilts pressuring with the threat. Ideally you want to position around cover so they waste time spamming at you whilst you're getting hits on their team; then as soon as they switch focus you go for another stealth snipe. With the longbow its powerful to hit enemies who are just about to engage in melee; one shot and you leave them vulnerable to being killed in one swing by your allies. You can do a lot of work by just tagging each enemy once as they join the main fight and giving your knights a conga-line of easy kills. If you are being focused by melee users, just land one hit then swap to melee. Its not worth trying to land the second shot with the slow draw. So long as you land the first hit you have a favourable fight on your hands, as you will only need one or two hits with your fast weapon, and if you have good mindgames you can outplay a lot of the slower weapons pretty well. Most players will swing fairly thoughtlessly at archers, so practice some duels and take them by surprise.
I disagree with the switching early part. There has been times where me lining up one last shot was enough to make the difference. Either killing the enemy or damaging them enough for an easy cudgel kill. And the cudgel can only block so much before breaking anyway, why allow it to take a hit when you can use that time to do damage. I also play in 3rd person for better situational awareness. So I can see enemies coming from a mile away even when aiming. I always get one last shot in and the cudgel can usually finish them off because it's so fast
@@youtubesucks1821 And I disagree with that. Skilled players can easily avoid your arrows even at close range. Not worth it unless the opponent is all bloody and you know it's a kill shot, wait until melee range and swinging animation, then he cannot dodge. If you don't switch weapon on time you die 100% of the time. I usually get in a hit well before the enemy is close, but going for that 2nd shot never works out for me.
Warbow is my favorite, takedown is guaranteed 95% of time if you hit somebody. Also what I like to do as longbowman, is to pick up better secondary from dead enemy or if it's laying around, stuff like one handed axe, warhammer, mace, falchion.
Good points. How I use them Archer: Highly mobile projectile unit. Should prioritize long range engagement due to low health, may join melee only if absolutely needed (like irl) Crossbowman: Pavise allows more stationary play, while being close support (banner), ideal unit when you want to shoot at enemies between teammates Skirmisher: Close-mid range projectile unit with melee support, should prioritize enemy melee units over enemy archers
Javalen's so fun to use. Starting as a Rank 1 Bow Archer was tough and if your aim with it is trash I reccomend just picking up a weapon on the floor and going into battle as a weak melee fighter until you get the Crossbow at lvl 4. The crossbow is pretty is good even for new players. But the javalen and War Bow are godly.
So instead of learning to use the bow, you recommend going on suicide rush? When you finally get War bow and you still can't aim for shit you'll only feel like it was a downgrade from crossbow. Those 2 feel very different to use.

If there is a high chance to hit a teammate, don't shoot! 2. Don't camp and try to play sniper. This isn't CoD. Move with your teammates, support them. Being closer to the enemies means more reliable hits and you also draw the attention of the enemy archers. 3. If you have a high K/D as an archer, you are either very good or very bad.
"Hopefully they will make arrows more reliable so they will actually hit their targets." Yeah... no, they didn't, and they won't. The collision detection in this game has been total shit since day one, and they will never make it better.
Yeesh this was so rambly and poorly paced. You repeat yourself like 6 times to unlock the war bow. Barely give any real advice or strategy beyond "unlock war bow by farming points". Maybe give aiming advice, secondary weapon advice, literally anything really actually useful or beyond surface level. Other youtubers cover these classes so much more in depth
What I hate about archers is not that they kill you from afar. Is that when you finally get near one to hit them, they simple don't die! like they have double the shield or something, and are incredible fast in melee, faster than any others class. That's simple not fair. They are overpowered.
Cope, they have almost half the HP of most classes, they are slow than vanguards, and all the weapons have short range. If you die to them on full HP you've been outplayed.
It's just that their weapons are all pretty quick and when accelerated they are that much faster. When you get close to one switch to a faster sidearm so it's a bit more even in speed. If you only have long weapons keep just out of their range but in your own.
As an Archer, you are legally obligated to make the enemy team have a really, really bad time.

2. Don't camp and try to play sniper. This isn't CoD. Move with your teammates, support them. Being closer to the enemies means more reliable hits and you also draw the attention of the enemy archers.
3. If you have a high K/D as an archer, you are either very good or very bad.
4. hit f10 and switch class
lol you missed 9/10 shots in the background footage... lol
"Hopefully they will make arrows more reliable so they will actually hit their targets."
Yeah... no, they didn't, and they won't. The collision detection in this game has been total shit since day one, and they will never make it better.
Easy 3 steps archer guide:
1. Pick archer
2. Press F10
3. Go back to step 1
this video should get you banned on chiv 2 and deleted off of youtube this is disgusting behaviour
I take it an archer has destroyed you a few times too many
@@kingbeeYT ban this guy as well
@@coolio7807 cry harder. Let the hate fuel you
@@kingbeeYT i hope you do know this is sarcasm right?
@@coolio7807 yeah lol I was playing along.
Someone died to archer
:D
Archer class guide: step one, don’t play the archer.
XD
A good archer will get a vote kick against them
F yall

Silver medal to you good sir!
@@HurricaneTurtle Thank you sir
Worthless class for incels.
archery is terrible in this game.
na, can't say that. I love it.
@@diabolo_twitch8920 its still terrible. Physical attack needs a nerf almost tripling the Magical attack not double.
If you only have long weapons keep just out of their range but in your own.
needs nerf
