@@BigOleJarOfDirtIt’s built for anything that involves a ballista imo. Even on Dark Forest it can help remove catapults from a distance (though it does take quite a few arrows)
I’ve been in love with the war axe since the first time I picked it up. It’s very much built for 1vx engagements, has a deceptively fast swing time, and has some reach to help close the gap against spears. However, its normal swing has mediocre damage, and lacks the range and drag finesse of say the exe axe. For someone who doesn’t care about pulling off 360 drags or other advanced maneuvers, but simply wants to rip heads, it’s the perfect weapon. Crude, unsophisticated, but it gets the job done. I believe it actually used to be op but it got a single nerf at some point. Overall, the war axe outputs a ton of damage in skilled 1vx hands, and combined with the horn, can lead to one having an outsized impact on the team. Considering most high level players use the knight class, having the extra damage def raises dps.
Not too sure if the bows should be dismissed so easily. The fact that you can't block arrows and bolts allows the archer to control enemy movement if he's shooting at someone who's already fighting one of his teammates, and I'd argue that even if you aren't consistently hitting your shots, the enemy is much more likely to walk into your teammate's swings than if he was fighting uninterrupted. I find that the Crossbow's the most solid pick overall, since you don't need to spend stamina to reload, and the War Bow just feels like the main purpose is to bodyshot enemy archers at the expense of sacrificing the utility of the Bow and Crossbow. Bow, I'm not too sure how to feel about it and I think i'd only ever use if i ever feel like hitting people on the head with the hatchet, and Siege Crossbow is hyperspecialized in suppressing particularly oppressive siege weapons, though the only melee you'd really only use with it is the starting knife.

W tier list. Yeah Highland Sword may not be top tier against high level players, but it does easily mop up these bot lobbies that I keep getting put into
Solid placement! I would still put Longsword in S Tier because the speed makes it really good at 1vX and ripostes, while the damage is still decent enough. Also, every attack type is solid. Heavy Mace is great but lacks the same 1vX ability as other weapons in S tier, plus you need to use heavy cleave to hit multiple targets, and it doesn't have the same reach as other weapons in the tier. I would put it in A Tier. War Club can be really oppressive in 1v1, but agreed that it's not great at 1vX so the ranking makes sense. Laughed at archer weapons in trash tier.
Having cleave-through is irrelevant in high level lobbies since players will counter your attacks anyway. Hitstop can also work to your advantage in many scenarios because you get to combo or block another incoming attack much sooner after you hit someone and don't have to wait for the animation to finish. I would argue that it's better to have hit-stop weapon like hmace than a cleave-through weapon in 1vX situations against really good players because of the fact you get to combo so much sooner, but only against seasoned players. I've played both 10v10 and 32v32 comp matches and i would still put heavy mace in S tier. Fighting more than 3 good players at once is usually a death sentence anyway. Battle axe should be low s-tier as well in my opinion, simply because you can practically 2 shot any class in the game and it does soo much damage and stam drain, and currently it reigns supreme over other 2 handed weapons in the duel meta, but i understand this is a TO list so A-tier is understandable.
@@yesyesy8793 Good points. Battle axe hits like a truck and the riposte and combo speed is surprisingly fast, but I've gotta agree that it lacks the reach of some of the other axes. It destroys in 1v1 and maybe 1v2 but everyone has to be relatively close.
Not really. Heavy mace has infamous counter frames when heavy slashing. You can catch off-guard some enemies in 1vX scenarios and come out scott free. Plus better stamina damage negation
Mad disrespect for the Siege Crossbow. Banner suppression and siege weapon suppression are the most helpful things an archer can do for the their team, on the correct map and phase. This might be the worst take on here. Heavy mace is one of the most meta and used weapons in comp chiv TO. Assuming you have never played anything but match making?
@@StridahsAngels Heavy Mace is hit stop. I top score in OCE most matches, don't play too much TO now because it's too easy. I prefer HM for duels, it's mid for TO.
@@BigRiffsRigsso you have only played pub TO, no clan vs clan or comp events, tournament grounds etc. but are arguing based on something you have no knowledge or experience in. I know the competitive meta from experience. Heavy mace is one of the most meta comp picks period. Battle axe is great but more niche in these lobbies. The comp experience is vastly different then killing shitters in pubs.
@@StridahsAngels I played comp TO and top scored or top 3 in almost every match. Played in tourneys, am in a clan etc.
Don't care what anyone says people who know how to use the bow will help a team so hard since they can focus people dropping health which give the people hit 2 options push and die or retreat and heal either way you remove people from the fight attacking or defending.
Close minded, it is competitively not viable and been proven through the games 3 years.
i feel like if you just used a sword or whatever it would make a greater impact than shooting enemies. but then again u don’t care
@helpiamsuffering603 i only don't since it just depends on what's going on there's some parts where a bow would get you clapped but the parts where a bow will piss off the other team and hold them back or get them off the OBJ why not use all your tools instead of just having caveman brain and stick to one thing
@@whiteguyomg1601 because archers are typically useless. I don’t know if i’ve ever been held off by a bow from objective. like if an archer just kills me i’ll just run by him, one tap him and go back to objective.
Bow is so stupid easy tho so i get your point, ive gone like 30+ kills no deaths just backlining noobs
@StridahsAngels only closed minded because it depends how it's being used and the part of the map you are on its gonna be pretty useless in some areas but even you said there's a few out there who can put in work with a bow plus I was always told bows and cross bow was banned from comp so I never really cared for it
Archer hate is lame. It's a great support class, especially crossbowmen with their banner (literally nobody else but guardian has it), and even in melee with shortsword/axe/hatchet due to speed/low team kill potential/good damage (best to hit already preoccupied enemies than 1x1 obviously). There is nothing great about halberd/any other weapon noobs feeding counters/teamkilling/blocking your way/whatever bs either.
You have ever played a comp chiv event? Thought so….
Archers talking about team killing is like ambusher mains complaining about getting back stabbed
@@StridahsAngels I was talking about casual lobbies indeed. About competitive scene I can take your opinion over mine. Nonetheless, I am against "muh archers ruin the game they don't deserve to exist".
@@Ocoro_ I wasn't complaining. I've said archer has low tk potential in melee when he joins it, which is great for supporting.
@@Ctrekoz i clearly stated i am talking about more competitive environments, and archer is not viable in them.
I play archer most of the time.
I'm usually middle to top tiers score of my team with a positive K/D and in general 30 to 40 takedowns.
Am i considered a liability ?
Yes
Just ignore this stupid archer hate "meme".
@@Ctrekoz cheers bro !
Forgot to add I'm fairly new with 10hours of play time.
How dare you use bows in a medieval fight game?
Jk, I actually like playing archer from time to time. I guess it’s just high level players who get angry that they can’t stomp you like they stomp half the lobby and everyone else agrees with them because they’re high levels
Yes, again the list is based more from a competitive viability. You would go 3-25 in a real lobby.
Stridah from wish is definitely stealing calling the glaive death by a thousand paper cuts! Thank you for more things i can steal 🫡
Salami with his note book writing his tier list that is the same as mine 😂
you 2 should live stream a first to 10 duel. I would watch!
