Whenever I bring a friend to this game I always tell them " if you can learn how to feint and counter reliably you will be better then 75 percent of the player base"
Best feeling is being equally matched against a good player man does it feel good to be clanging swords getting few hits here and there. Feels like an duel of the ages😂
as a new player not only was this insanely helpful, but the end part where you demonstrated what you taught and how a real fight should go down, very educational!
Just started playing this week, 1st person with a controller on PC Been lurking on your channel for tips and guides. I went from getting 600ish-1000 points per game to getting between 3500-5000 now. Still got a lot of practice to do, and I'm sure 3rd person would be better but I'm in it for the fun so I'll keep it up.
Something ive picked up from my own learning is how to bait out a block into a kick Just heavy overhead to start, 9 times out of 10 the immediate response is to block So just overhead, kick, overhead Its a good start for any fight
I think when chivalry first released on ps5 I watched a video and that was a massive go to strategy a while back. Usually used to win any fight that began with that combo.
Doing God's work and helping out the young squires. I saw them do the same mistakes kicks ( love it when they do it and I smack them thinking " Wrong input son " ) and range especially, I mean, how does an archer think he can outrange my longsword stab to his face when all he has is a knife ? And yes, that was a very satisfying kill 😈😈.
I am not a new player but I keep getting caught out by kicks lately. I think it's bad habits where I keep instinctively blocking too early and their kick always catches me.
The big problem for me with the attacks was that the way it was set up (using mousewheel for stab and overhead) made me reluctant to use it (cuz it felt awkward and annoying) so to anyone that doesn't use stab or overhead cuz it's awkward to do it and guard, remap buttons if you can, I have a mouse with thumb buttons, since I've remapped it's so much easier and now I actually use overheads and stabs cuz it's not inconvenient as fuck
DUDE you have helped me learn alot in a very short timek, and earned a subscriber out of me for sure maybe one day i will get to play along side you even that would be cool to see you in action first hand
Hey how are you able to counter stab mid swing (5:00)? I’ve noticed that some players are able to counter every single attack even ones where I think I baited them into a miss but they some how still counter me. Thanks
I have a quick question how can I make my game run smoother, i have a good pc and WiFi, as soon as I get into a fight it starts to stutter and lag and not run smooth
The best part of this video is when you showed your first gameplay reel and someone just kept playing the flute, lmao. How are your keybindings though? I find the default ones very hard to utilize because of how small of a movement you need to do, and how awkward it is to do so. Also, my reflex is about clicking, so when the default requires me to slide my finger up or down, it makes it extremely hard for me to move as I want to, e.g. feints.
Appreciate an actual display of skill from this perspective. Now I know what to strive for. How is it that you can feint so many times? Do you feint your morphs into more morph feints?
@@StridahsAngels I'm reporting back after watching the vid and playing. I have improved my performance considerably in combat thanks to you. Feels good!

I might give the update another chance, I love playing Chivalry 2 so I guess I'll just have to die a lot to Cavalry until I get used to it and learn how to defend myself against Cavalry. As for the tips, I only use the kick very situationally as I realized on my own without a tips and tricks video that its very easy to get punished, especially if you misjudge distance(I started playing in first person because I have a much easier time aiming than I do in third) I only really use the kick on those pesky turtling players that use shields and have won plenty of fights against shielded players. I also use it against those new players that just want to hold the block button so that I can teach them the hard way not to hold down block.
@@StridahsAngels I'll put that tip to good use if I don't get snuck because of the lack of audio cues that I normally use to Identify what is around me.

I have come to identify who is slash spamming and try to counter -- and it works (the reticle turns blue), but I struggle to land the hit regardless. For whatever reason no matter what I do to accelerate the contact the opponent manages to block. My ping is usually around 70ms, is that too high to be successful?
I'd say half the advice about Chivalry 2 goes out the window during pubs, due to mass amounts of people swinging at you, and the fact that there is no type of rank balancing. Meaning that while attempting to try and learn all the different movement, feinting, parrying, etc. This means mass combat is required leading to mass stamina drain, even if you're good at perfect parrying, skill gaps against much better players, and a difficulty learning movement and advanced interruption like bashing/kicking in a split second, or accurately judging how of a window you have and what action to execute. Ultimately it all comes down to the fact that outside of trying to find an empty standalone server to practice with friends, there really isn't a great place to practice all these combat mechanics, as beginners match lobbies in this game are a joke.
