- Site Supervisor Anna Shackelford and the Jamestown Rediscovery archaeologists demonstrate the different tasks (e.g., excavation, artifact screening, running ground-penetrating radar, and leading public tours) that are part of their daily routine.
History nerds and armchair archaeologists rejoice! The 2021 excavation season has begun at Jamestowne.
HUZZA!
This is awesome. I’m taking part in the Bamburgh Castle research this summer and cannot wait. As an “armchair” archaeologist, I’ve here to learn and this a perfect start!
Always fascinating. Thank you for giving us a walk through of your day. It’s good to see people there enjoying the site. It’s been awhile since the last video, so I was excited to see this pop up today. Take care, Mary
Your videos are getting much more entertaining and professional! Not to put down the older ones, they were very good also.
Enjoyed it, thank you.

Thank you! As a fellow Shovel Bum, I appreciate you guys! Keep up the good work!
Love these wonderful videos.
The information in them are so fascinating.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for all the info you have given us
Thank you for sharing
Great information. Thanks for sharing.
Good work!
Great job! Well done with the drone shots. Suggestion: I think for the uninitiated, it might be helpful to explain terms like "midden," in the same way that artifacts was described. Thanks!
Good.
Oof, those profile walls though, so perfect
I can dig it 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
Going forward what are some projects areas you are seting up to be working on next? Will they be new areas or further excavation on existing sites? Thank you.

Dig it 😂😂❤❤❤
👍👍
Can you dig it 😂😂😂😂
If Jamestown was only 400 years ago. Why are those artifacts buried so deep? Why is the road buried at all, shouldn't it still be visible? That's like 5 feet of dirt/mud, where did it come from?
