After one week I saw improvement. It's now my staple moisturizer at night. I no longer have to deal with acne. Many people compliment me on my skin. They always ask what I use and my reply VIRGIN COCONUT OIL. Now I'm not saying it's best for everyone but I can proudly say it works for me.

So far the most informative and balanced video out there. I break out badly from any coconut products. Even if they never touch my skin. My most recent horrendous breakout came from using an activate charcoal teeth cleaning powder that contained coconut oil in it. I’m getting massive painful pimples all over my chest and shoulders and upper back from it. My face isn’t affected. This time. I’ve taken unrefined and unbleached coconut oil on an empty stomach before and it dropped my sugar levels from the 90’s to the 50’s in half an hour. Apple cider,l vinegar, raw mushrooms, wheat grass shots, Aloe vera juice and cilantro all have a similar affect on my sugar but I’m not aware of it affecting my acne. There is a mechanism here that I’m missing. Just haven’t figured it out. But somehow it’s affected by the fact that I have a special condition of hyperinsulinemia caused by a neuroendocrine tumor on my pancreas called an insulinoma. A tumor that makes insulin. 10 times the normal amount. I’m trying to figure out the science behind how all of these react the way they do.

so the other thing I just wanted to make sure that I say is cetearyl alcohol and most of the emulsifying wax is are also coconut derivatives so a lot of times lotions that claim to be oil-free still use that impulsive fire and can clog your pores and actually capric triglyceride doesn't tend to clog pores because it's very liquid oil so just because someone can use that in their foundation doesn't mean that they can use like cold pressed or virgin. I think the general consensus is if you have acne prone skin let's go for a different oil than coconut because MCT is not the same thing as coconut it's been refined so it's only the liquid portion. I think if someone is having issues with clogged pores especially little bumps that never come up to a head they should try removing cetearyl alcohol especially. I love this post seriously you need this there's such a lack of education.

It could be the sebaceous gland aka the pore with obviously no hair and when coconut oil penetrates it clogs the pore creating the moisture that keeps the hydration in if you keep using it your skin will develop to it remember the majority of times you use skincare products you need to let your skin get used to the reactions sometimes which causes breakouts then it goes away hopefully that helped the same happened to me under me lips on my chin and forehead like no spots just blocked pores

So, I specifically formulate skincare for acne-prone skin and I started doing so a little over six years ago because my own skin was so bad. The short version is while some people with acne can use coconut oil about 95% break out from it. The issue is the fatty acid profile and the temperature variation because some of the fatty acids become solid at a temperature that your skin sometimes reaches if you live in a cooler region it's very easy for it to resolidify on your skin and actually clog your pores because of that as well. for many customers using coconut in a body application is fine because there isn't as much poor opening and closing throughout the day as there is on your face for whatever reason we tend to have more variation in temperature on our face. I have been doing this for 6 years I only use natiral ingredients and I can tell you, if you have acne and you are interested in using an oil for it by a bottle of nutiva hemp seed oil or low oleic sunflower oil or even avocado or grapeseed before you look at Coconut if you just love the idea of using coconut oil try it as a body moisturizer instead of on your face. Last but not least fractionated coconut oil or MCT is a safe version that people can use no matter what their skin type. my concern is because it's spring there may be people that can use coconut oil right now and then as the weather gets cooler they'll have breakouts and they won't understand what's going on I've seen it happen multiple times. I'm not disagreeing with your premise you're not wrong the comedicscale is crap, but the temperature scale doesn't lie if an oil get solid or cloudy in the fridge it typically clogs pores there are some more refined versions of oils that typically clog my pores but the refined version has those fatty acids removed whether ingredient clogs your pores or not has much more to do with the fatty acid profile than anything else.

And because I love you I think your skin would really really love maracuja like a pure form of maracuja cold pressed at the very least or Sacha inchi. hemp seed oil is a given and I think I've seen one of your videos about hemp but both of those other two oils are light so can quickly have omega 3 6 and 9 and are soothing an anti-inflammatory

I've been using fractionated coconut oil on my face, body, and hair. I've been enjoying it much more than organic coconut oil.

Good Morning Beautiful ☀️☕️🎶. At 59 years old I purchased the virgin, organic and unrefined coconut oil. I never imagined that I would love it so much. After MOHS SURGERY and surgery to repair-I will NEVER be without sunscreen!! I use a waterproof, tinted sunscreen and Coconut 🥥 Oil is my absolute favorite first cleanse!! Thank You for your Knowledge, Cassandra! I love you 😘

I also have a combination skin. I used it for couple of days and my acne became dry and rough. Like as if they are going to fall off. It definitely moisturize my skin but If I don’t apply it my skin becomes dry.

I used coconut oil as a post shower moisturizer back in 2016. At some point around that time i started developing dark spots and what i perceived to be acne on my back. I loved its effect on my overall body but disconinued use because of the issues with my back. Ive never had any skin issues so, after reading about it being comedogenic, i just attributed it to the coconut oil. Im going to give it another go. Still dealing with back issues all these years later. Nothing works. So it can only get better, not worse.

I went on a limb here and I bought coconut oil, I use it to shave my legs. I used it on my hair, big mistake lol! The next day it made my hair look like greasy! But I learned that since I put it on wet hair, it made it look like that. My coworker told me that she uses it to remove her makeup and it works.

this is a year later lol but coconut oil works wonders on ur hair. u should apply it to your hair before u wash it and leave it in for at least an hour (overnight works great too). after an hour or something wash it of THOROUGHLY u might need to shampoo twice. hope this helps lmao

I noticed that the coconut oil just sat on my skin when I tried using it as a moisturizer- now I understand why! Thank you so much for this! I'm sticking with aloe and a basic moisturizer for my face (which looks better than ever these days), and saving the coconut oil for my hair and scalp. The only time I use it on my face anymore is to remove makeup, or cleanse my skin instead of using a cleaser/soap and water. I try to limit water on my face as much as possible, and haven't used a cleanser/soap since I don't remember when lol Before I shower, I put it on my face to keep water from getting onto my skin. Then I remove it after my shower with some homemade wipes that I made. My skin feels soft, hydrated and looks and feels the best it's ever been (I have a very rough face-skin history).

I broke out in HORRIBLE hives a couple weeks ago I began taking lots of allergy medicine and prednisone. My skin was so dry but I was terrified to use anything because I don’t know what’s causing my hives. I started using nothing but pure unrefined coconut oil on my wet skin after shower and I have seen such a POSITIVE change in my skin! I was afraid to use it on my face but it’s been great. I do have dry non acne prone skin. I only get an occasional pimple during my period but it’s been better with coconut oil!

Just fyi those wipes contain phenoxyethanol, an endocrine disruptor used in 50% or more of cosmetic supplies. (Check your bottles. 🙂) The more exposure you have to that ingredient in your products, the more it affects your endrocrine system (in other words, your hormones).
