@@ishrataslam3286 you can try, but I think it’s not the best option for dry skin. I didn’t work for me. It’s nourishing but it doesn’t give the skin moisture.
Great information, coconut oil cleared my dry itchy skin I get every summer mainly on my back, i get sweat pimples and severe itch , coconut oil is heaven sent for me , Thanks again
I’ve been using petroleum jelly for years but out of the blue since I am transitioning into a more green environment/natural products I’m trying to figure out what to use as a body lotion … petroleum jelly kept me warm during cold winters and in summer I use Nivea SPF sunscreen… so right now I’m conducting my own research, I’m stuck between Coconut oil, olive oil and Shea butter. This video is useful for my research
I’m trying to find the exact proportions but have trouble finding the video. Essentially it’s organic coconut oil and non-nano zinc oxide. I think a 20% zinc oxide to oil ratio gives you a very good SPF.
I agree with you on most everything except for Castor oil, which is very good and OK for the skin of the best majority of people and helpful in fact. It has often helped people read themselves of eczema, for example
I just ordered some virgin coconut oil from Amazon yesterday. One concern I would have with the glass jars is that they'd be slippery (and thus prone to break) if grasped with a hand which has just applied the coconut oil to one's skin. Any suggestions as to how to minimize the breakage risk?
@@JonasKuehneMD The coconut oil jar arrived early (during the lunch hour today), and I was eager to try some on my legs (very dry & flaky w/eczema). I pulled down my socks to just above my ankles while seated, and applied the coconut oil with just one hand, leaving the dry hand free to grasp the jar safely. I will consider the stainless steel container idea, though; it might be the kind of thing I can find among the kitchen pantry storage containers online.
@@JonasKuehneMD I just thought of another possible solution to the breakage risk. I crochet, and could easily make a "cozy" or sleeve for the glass jar, perhaps with the cotton yarn often used to knit or crochet dishcloths.
I use it sometimes as a face lotion as well, however, several people have commented that it clogs their pores. You do not need to wash coconut oil off.
I put coconut oil on my skin three nights in a row. Woke up with amazing skin. With that said, I was also very diizzy. Like, couldn't walk well dizzy. I don't understand what happened?
I am not sure if there is a connection between these two events. Dizziness may have many causes, so it’s best to discuss with your primary care doctor.
@@JonasKuehneMD I'm going to try the coconut oil again this weekend and see if I can re-create the dizziness. I really liked the coconut oil! My dizziness might have come from another supplement I started.
I've been using coconut oil for 2 weeks and I can tell the difference
Are you shiny ? 😂
is it better?
I did for months and I never had a drier skin than when I was using coconut oil. I stopped and my skin feels better now
@@Histoireetturcologie-qm4tiI have really dry body skin so should I use it?

Very useful information. Thanks doctor.
Always welcome

Thank you. Coconut oil is not the greatest moisturizer but works fairly well. Shea butter is a great alternative.
Thank you. I spent the whole day doing a research on the two😅
Coconut oil is great. Helps with mouth ulcers and cold sores.
Thanks for the tip!
Would you please share the recipe for high spf cocunut oil and zinc oxide lotion? Thanks. I look forward to your reply.

Yes, I agree with you. Castor oil is great and I have done a video about it recently. Had to get more familiar with this oil first.
I can't find your video on coconut oil and non-nano zinc oxide recipes 😢
but in tropical country its grease, and hot on skin specially if humid or summer
Coconut oil is not one of the best moisturizer but it is one of the safest ones. Some people have mixed it with a little bit of castor oil.

You can put the coconut oil into a stainless steel container.

Can this be used on face + do I need to use soap to remove? I just heard you say yes for face. So, does it need to be washed off?

Maybe you're allergic to coconut? I really don't know, but everything you put on your skin absorbs into your bloodstream just remember that
do you recommend Palmer's Body oil? :)
The first ingredient is soybean oil, and then there are several other questionable ingredients on there. It would not be my first choice.
Thank you heaps 🙏
FACTS
Castor oil is great, do some digging. it's better than coconut oil.
Thanks for the tip!
It's so sticky, almost like honey.
@@JonasKuehneMD
I thought your point had been that _hydrogenated_ castor oil was the issue - was I wrong about that?
It’s your loss lol
Just because you don’t know what it is or wouldn’t cook with it doesn’t mean it’s bad for skin
go ahead and keep putting that poison on your skin.
