      It is certainly useful to try natural products, but if there is significant inflammation, then we may need to use topical steroid creams too.
      There is no specific food that needs to be checked. Keeping a food diary and sting if any particular foods aggravate eczema may give useful clues. I have done a couple of videos linking eczema and hay fever (allergic rhinitis) with food allergies. Here they are:

      It's weird I'm only allergic sometimes if that makes any sense. Same with olive oil. Before my skin needed olive oil but then it started to make it dryer. Same with coconut when I first started eating a tablespoon a day. My skin was looking so soft and clear on my hands and arms but then when I tried to used it months later it seemed like it dried out my skin and made it peel. But now my skin fairly good but my hands are getting these small patches on my thumb so last night I put some on my both hands and it seems like it's helping a little and drying out the little clear bumps I get on my finger.

      The skin on the face is quite sensitive and unique. Usually it has natural oils and the general view is that thick oils like coconut oil can clog the pores. • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  Год назад +1

  • @arnoldv100
    @arnoldv100 2 года назад +2

    So if i am correct, you can not use the coconut oil on the face , because my eczema is on the face .

    • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  2 года назад +2

      The use of any natural oils on the face should be carefully considered. Firstly, the facial skin is thin and sensitive, so using specific moisturisers that contain ceramides is preferable. Here is a video on this topic.
      ruclips.net/video/4aFSAKprFj0/видео.html
      Secondly, the face already has natural oils. Therefore using more organic oils can worsen this and aggravate conditions like acne where the pores in the skin gets blocked. Here is another video on this
      ruclips.net/video/4ureGdJAgaA/видео.html
      In the end, I would always suggest that each persons skin is unique and nothing can be totally excluded. If organic oils suits a personals facial skin, then please try it, but scientifically speaking, it could aggravate the situation.

      ruclips.net/video/ebZuweSaRfI/видео.html
      We may need to address the inflammation of the skin first before the moisturiser is used. If the skin is inflamed, any moisturiser will irritate the skin. Using a steroid cream to calm the inflammation and then using moisturiser in the long term would be helpful.
