Since when has companies pumping money into exclusives so they're the only ones you can have an experience on, instead of pumping money into r&d so they offer the best experience, a positive.
@@gileee since PlayStation has so many great exclusives if you have to pick between the two you probably want a PlayStation. Other than the upcoming Halo and Game Pass there is no reason to get an Xbox, especially if you have a computer where you can get all the exclusives anyway.

It’s not completely fair to say that the UI hasn’t changed because it has changed like 3 times this year, it’s just that they are updating the Xbox one UI along side the Series X/S UI.
Yea, fr. But to be fair I liked the main menu UI the way it was a few months ago. I do like how that moved the audio setting in the first tab but I feel like some things just aren’t not the right spots that they should be. But the store upgrade was pretty dope

Also I think its reasonable to assume with the amount of changes the xbone ui underwent that we will still see many changes to come to the xsx ui in the future. If they had designed a brand new ui for the xsx, then they would be risking new bugs and unforseen issues around launch time, something ps5 has had to deal with a little

I'm not gonna lie, I like the current Xbox UI, and I feel that changing it too often is probably more confusing than just letting people get used to it.
Also Xbox Game Pass, which now comes with EA Play as well, is ridiculous value for money. Loads of games right at your fingertips from day one, a stupid amount of backwards compatability, and Microsoft exclusives added on launch. Will be mad once these start getting rolled out next year!

Been playing a game pass game called night in the woods. Its an underrated game and the game pass lets small creators get a bit popular. Also, the merge with ea play is amazing. I don't play the sports games ea make cause im just not interested but they got gems like unravel on there. Amazing

@@hypsin0 4K @ 30fps was a Xbox One X thing, there’s been many examples made available of new games and past games running a smooth 4K 60fps. In the games of Spider-Man Miles Morales, they’re doing it with impressive amounts of Ray-Tracing as well.

You forgot Game Pass, frankly if you only plan on getting one console that's easily the Series X's biggest selling point. Only $15 a month for a library of a few hundred games most of them good and a bunch that are absolutely fantastic plus all Microsoft's exclusives the day they come out is an unbelievable deal. Playstation's few good exclusives are no where near enough to makeup the difference in how much value that brings IMO. Although if you own a PC (which GamePass is on) getting a PlayStation does make more sense. Also EVERYBODY should get a Switch lol I still love mine so much.
Nintendo needs to fix that joycon problem that they refuse to acknowledge first.

The OG Xbox One UI was garbage, but I honestly think it’s fine now.
They added a guide that works even better than the 360’s. You can access just about everything you need right from it, and its tabs are customizable. The home screen also is pretty streamlined, only showing you your recent games and things you might be interested in checking out.
I enjoy it much more than the ps4's UI, as you have to navigate an entire row of like 50 things just to get to a particular game/app. With the Xbox, you have all your recent games, apps, and things right there, you can pin things, and you can press the home button to access all your friends and notifications. The only thing that is faster to get to on the ps4 is the settings, which you don't get on very often anyway. Anything else just takes way too long. So I hope they change the ps5's UI to have more accessibility. The only reason they don't like the UI is that it seems complicated at first; and it is, for the first hour, but then it is 10x faster. Yeah same I disagree with Charlie the UI is super intuitive after like spending an hour with it. At worse, it's a million times better than A PC and at best it's as simple as reading labels lol

Technically there is nothing new to the game in the world. Quick resume is just a dumb name for a Save State that's been used on PC emulators since the 2000s. Smart delivery is just a fancy word for saying backwards compatible games. Game Pass is just another fancy way of saying renting games that you can download or stream. While all these things are good there's nothing new about them.

The issue with this review is
1) Charlie just hasn't used the UI yet keeps saying it's shitty. The Xbox one UI was awful off launch but got a lot better after the overhaul
2) Neither of the two even mentioned game pass
What they were showing on screen was a pretty bad UI though

Not sure why the UI is such a talking point considering it has been improved and changed a number of times in the last year.
A couple of months ago they made the ui completely customizable to your preference
Yeah them calling the UI trash kinda irked me because it’s actually really solid now. The whole reason I feel like they didn’t change it is because when they redesigned it for the Xbox One back in 2013 it was garbage originally. Now it’s completely customizable and is very user friendly.

The fact that this console is an extension of the xbox and it has backwards compatibility got me sold on it. I can play warframe with my progress crossed over and still play with xbox one players.

Yeah but my problem is that it feels very samey. It just feels like an xbox one with an turbo on it. I would've liked for them to change up the industry a bit and maybe even introduce new features. So far Playstation has better presentation in that respect.
@@ediodimacaroni I mean technically these consoles aren't doing anything new. PCs have been doing this crap for years. Its just the inferior platform catching up which Im happy for because it gives people who can't spend as much the experience they deserve. I personally don't care about new "features" basically if price to performance is good and if the console has good exclusives, I think its a success and a worthwhile machine. Tho I dislike exclusives cause they are very anti consumer.

There's nothing wrong with the xbox ui. They actually did change it btw. They updated it like 3 times on Xbox one to prepare you for the series x ui. It is almost the exact same but they changed the layout a little bit. But it's not hard to find your way around at all that's a ridiculous argument
