At 7:16, choosing "Transparent background" only works with a paid Canva account. Is that something new? Or were they requiring a paid account for transparency in Dec 2021?

The transparent background is also not included in the free version of canva 😢 I like to use the green screen feature for graphics and that works well. Would like to see how you edit moving graphics like your subscribe button using free canva and imovie (if possible!) Thanks for your videos!
Hey Evelyn!! I double checked and on my end I was able to create a free Canva account and download transparent images?! So weird it doesn’t work for you!! I do have another tutorial on my channel on how I create animated titles - the subscribe button I use is from Type Hayley!
There is also a way in Canva to upload your screen recording, add it below the iPhone overlay, then download as a video. Then you could add it to your video in iMovie as one overlay. But I haven’t checked to see if you can create videos in the free Canva version!
@@StephanieKase Ive tried that also. Basically going into Canva, then adding video inside phone overlay. Downloading that video. Only issue is when I then upload to overlay on main video. There is background behind the phone (either white or black) that I cant get rid of. Last step! ^^

I had to reset my MacBook and now I can't download iMovie anymore because my computer doesn't have the OS whatever and also can't seem to get that anymore. I can't make a new AppleID because it keeps saying it's not available. I suppose that makes my MacBook unusable. 😔 Should have done a bit more research from as soon as my password didn't work anymore but now it's about 7 y old and I guess it's too old now :( Luckily I have a computer with Windows but it sucks to have a MacBook barely used and now it's too old to use it and use something easy and free sich as iMovie. Because another app that does greenscreen I wanted to buy in my Windows laptop and somehow it doesn't process my payment so again, I can't use all this stuff. I hate it and I cannot afford anything new. Suppose I must try some other way then.

For iMovie, you’d use the Picture-in-Picture option, correct? The two programs are a little different.

Hi!! You can absolutely use ANY camera to film yourself, then match up that video later to the screen recording. The camera you use doesn’t matter! 😊
