    I bought one of these and love it! I was tired of always having to pull out three different tools to cut, score and then make envelopes. When I saw this, I was so excited because I knew I would only need one tool sitting out instead of having to swap out multiple tools in the space I have. I will say, the first thing I did was get out some black acrylic paint and swipe it over all of the numbers on the rulers so they would be easy to see. When the acrylic paint dries, you can just use a magic eraser to lightly wipe over top and then you’re just left with the black paint in the number and line crevices

      That is an excellent suggestion. Thank you so much for sharing that. They are a bit to see, that's for sure. And a friend here in the comments questioned what I was measuring to. Thank you so much for sharing that tip!

      @@kathyk8310 You would think. It's so good in so many areas. Truly though, when it's used just right there on the table, the numbers are not difficult. Just wanted to add that too. Thank you so much for watching.

    I love this. I like Sizzix tools. I've always had a Big Shot, now I have a 2nd one because I really wanted the rose gold one. I also bought a sizzix switch even though I already have a Gemini Jr. I will buy this as well even though I have a scor-pal, an envelope punch board and several trimmers.

    I watched this video and ordered a scoring board and trimmer for myself. I like how multifunctional it is. Thank you, Jamie, for the fun and informational video! My board is en route, hoping to get it tomorrow. I am very, very new to hands-on papercrafting, although I have been intrigued for several years now. Just got my Sizzix Big Shot yesterday, still in the box as my crafting room is being used for construction storage for house renovation. That will change this weekend-- I'm evicting the construction materials and setting up my crafting room. But I am lacking a stamping platform. Do you or your online "family" have suggestions? Everyone seems so sold on the Misti but I'm put off a bit by the lawsuit over the patent--Iliana seems unnecessarily aggressive, going after others over a hinge. Plus, I'm not a fan that she felt it necessary to add a scripture to the device. I am leaning toward the stampwheel but could use suggestions/feedback. Thanks!

    • @JamiePate

      Hello! Thank you for watching! Glad you liked it. It reminds me I have some other ideas for this tool and need to get to it as it is so good for the gifting ideas. Love that eviction notice you are giving the construction storage. And eager for you to get that Big Shot out and used!!! That's a good tool. I may not be a good suggestion on the stamp platform as I have several and mostly use the Quartz Misti (shrsl.com/48zy3as) it is small and compact and easy to store. Have no clue about a law suit and do not see anything about a Scripture on the device either. So I may not be a good resource for you. I will say I have used the Sizzix Platform. Even have a video showcasing it. You can find here: shrsl.com/3mfos It's much bigger than the Misti so it just does not come out as often. Did that help at all? Let me know. Thank you for watching!!!

      @JamiePate Hi Jamie! Thank you for the reply. I watched your video using the Sizzix stencil and stamp platform. Adorable pockets--I hadn't seen those dies before and was unaware of the use of pockets in papercrafting. Useful info to add to my cache of ideas. Your "firstborn child" comment made me chuckle. As I suspected from watching other videos, and your comment about not getting this Sizzix stamp platform out as often as your smaller Misti confirms, this platform appears a little...bulky? Not as sleek as some others. Crafters seem to reach for their smaller tools when they can--less clutter on their workspace. I think I will be using a stamp platform more than other tools, once I get going--my initial focus is on cards, but perhaps some frameable art is in my future, and certainly boxes and envelopes on the Sizzix scoring board/trimmer!--so getting the right stamping platform is key. Well-designed tools appeal to me, so I don't want to buy something smaller and cheaply made just to get started and find myself discouraged using a poorly designed tool. Thank you again for the helpful feedback. Your projects are all very cool, and your videos very watchable--clear and concise.

    Jamie, I have seen this once recently and like the idea of a multi function tool. I seemed to notice one thing though. On the video it looked as if the hole punched in the tag was very close to the edge. It might just be me but I wanted to ask if there is room for a hole reinforcer to be put on without hanging off the top edge?

    • @JamiePate
      @JamiePate  Год назад +2

      You are not wrong. It is a bit close. I like to use a hole enforcer too. Personally I would just stick with what I like in that regard, and punch it with a hole punch after putting that together. But for sure, a board the trims those corners evenly for me? I'm all about that! Thank you for asking. Good question.

      You are not alone. This has been a common comment. The marks are there. They are same color as the board. But you can see them in real life. The cutting marks are black on the green ruler. It's the score marks that no one can see in the video. But they are there.

    Hi l like the multi tools side of this trimmer, but the blade is the same old one that only work for a short time. Replace blades are hard to get and expensive, for all trimmers. 😒

    • @JamiePate
      @JamiePate  Год назад

      I know for me that I have to be mindful about cutting chipboard or acetate on any of my trimmers as that tends to wear the blade down faster. It's almost like scissors, I don't cut fabric with my paper scissors. Also, the blades for this trimmer come in a two pack and you can usually find that at a great price for $9 at Scrapbookcom. Thank you for watching and weighing in. Have a great day.

  • @milady1957
    @milady1957 10 месяцев назад +1

    Not a good tool at all! Aside from numbers being nearly invisible when you try to cut under 3 inches, you cannot cut under 3/4 inch at all because there are NO markings for that. Also the arm doesn’t lock so when you use it to push against for scoring it is so wobbly you can’t get straight lines
