UK - Sir Nigel Gresley and 90001 on Kings Cross to Newcastle, 6/4/2024

The Steam Dreams Excursion from London Kings Cross to Newcastle and return was handled by Class 90 pioneer electric number 90001 northbound and LNER A4 pacific 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley" on the southbound run.
Exceptionally warm but stormy weather led to windy conditions and, because of the warmth, little exhaust from the A4.

I greatly admire the efforts of rail preservation in Great Britain. You run them right out on the main line at speed mixed in with the modern trains. Seems as if a lot of very nice excursions take place here.
