This is Part 4 from my Nagaland web series where I have tried to share my experience from beautiful Dzukou Valley.

The Dzüko Valley is a valley located in borders of the state of Nagaland and Manipur in northeast India. This valley is well known for its natural environment, seasonal flowers and flora and fauna. It is situated at an altitude of 2452 m above sea level.
My trip to Nagaland from December 4 to December 10, 2018 was organized by ChaloHoppo, a travel company that specializes in crafting authentic local experiences in Northeast India. During this trip, I stayed at Camp Yedikha in Jakhama village. ( / camp_yedikha ) and visited the villages of Dzuleke and Khonoma. This experience was raw and nothing like anything I have experienced before."

In a simple....way...parts of Manipur Dzukou belongs to Manipur and parts of Nagaland Dzukou belongs to Nagaland. It's a God gifted land....n not a man made valley..! So we share this beautiful valley. N Hopping Bug....big thank you for making it more.... beautiful...even in a commercial way.

Yes geographicaly , dzukou might be in the middle of Nagaland and manipur , the territory of angami tribe (NAGALAND ) and Mao tribe (NAGALAND) ...both Tenyimia Naga tribes , separated by artificial boundaries due to colonial rule by the British . So it's just like a family conflict .... Peace out

Bro Dzuko Valley belongs to both Manipur n Nagaland.. Almost 75% to Manipur and those remaining to Neighbouring state Nagaland.. But there were No proper routes to visit Dzuko valley from Manipur.. 👍👍👍

@Hopping Bug Dzukou valley is on the border of the two states. But it is the ancestral land of the Angami Naga of Nagaland. Since time immemorial, the Nagas were divided by boundaries. For example there are various Naga tribes in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Myanmar. Even the Valley was divided without the consent of the local people. The word Dzukou in Angami means Soulless (another meaning in Angami is cold water which is not valid) because our ancestors once tried to settles in the valley but the people who settled in Dzukou valley were not flourishing but people were dying out in large numbers so they left the valley. Hence the term Soulless. The name was given by Nagaland and the valley maintened by Nagaland. Had Dzukou not been divided by the boundary, this valley would solely belong to Nagaland without any dispute. But thanks for the effort in bringing peace to the two states.
Google map was only introduce/use in India in 2008 and is still improving, Political boundary exist long before, google wrongly cutting deep into Dzükou doesn't means Dzükou in Manipur, the political Boundary lies at Khunhyo Range , Kezol-tsa forests sharing boundary with Maram Khullen & Willong from manipur.

Dzuko valley belongs to both Manipur n Nagaland... 70% belongs Manipur n 30% for Nagaland... Because of Manipur govt is not putting any effort to improve tourism to this heaven place... Nagaland is gaining the ownership of dzuko..

It sure shares its boundary with Manipur but the name Dzuku itself is a Naga(Angami) given name. There was no boundary of Nagaland and Manipur before when it was discovered by Nagas. Hence Dzuku valley is rightfully Naga's. By the way tribe living on the side of Manipur attach to Dzuku valley are Mao(Naga).

Doesn't matter where dzukou is located , what matters is that the beautiful enchanting dzukou belongs to both the angami and Mao Naga tribes and Naga as a whole .....no fight please
It belongs to everyone. No one can claim Mother Nature like that. Please leave your small mindset behind🙂.
Political boundary line is in Khunhyo Range Kezoltsa Forest far from Dzükou valley, after Dziikou there is long stretch Kezoltsa forests & the last range is Khunhyo where Political boundary lies between Manipur & Nagaland.
Google was first use in India in 2008 and is still improving. Google is just an imaginary line in the air & nothing in the earth.
If all based their claims according to google map whole district of a state, all state of India & India with all her neighboring countries will be in war.
