I am from Sikkim, which neighbouring Nepal and I have been to the Kanchandzonga base camp from the other side of the range. I congratulate you on creating this master piece of a documentary, not missing any thing whatsoever. The videography is world class. The sounds and also the soothing background music is just perfect. You have a way with dogs, so do I. I also tend to pet and love any friendly dog in exactly the same way as you do. Despite so many days in trek, you didnt appear tired, sweaty, uncomfortable, dirty and anything else. Such treks are damn ardous and gets on your body and mind. But you maintained a picture of calm and equaminity in the chaos. Hats off to that! All your shots are post card quality...just breath-taking. Thanks for such a quality content.

Magnificent, and I should say examplary, trek documentary, with natural sounds and no overpowering "music", nor superfluous comments, as everything is pretty much self explanatory, with a good balance of wonders of nature and fascinating aspects of local life and culture, without excessive "voyeurism". I fell on this video while starting to organize a trans-nepal trek starting like you from Taplejung and the Kanchenjunga base camp (north). It reminded me of all the wonders of my previous Nepalese treks (ABC and EBC), and makes me really impatient to start exploring again ! Thanks for these 2 hours of bliss !

@Nicholas Eager, yours are the only videos that i watch. The Himalayas have a special place in my heart. They probably do for many. Ive watched so many youtubers make vidoes etc. But nothing clicked the way yours do. Whenever i need to cut off from all the clutter and commotion all i do is play your videos on my big screen. It feels like i am right there. Everyone in the family joins me watching your video. We go absolute quiet and everything around us pauses as we embark on a virtual journey through you. If people know what meditation feels like then this is it. Those 1 or 2 hours is like a session of healing. What you do is tough and i cannot find a suitable adjective to describe it and im certain its your calling. Those without a calling cannot embark on a journey like this. Sometime in the near future (dont want it to be too far away) it would be a dream to join you. You are blessed!

I have been down for some personal reasons for a few days and want to tell you that I felt so much better watching your videos, especially the Nepal ones. I got stuck in bed for several days but yesterday while watching this documentary, I got up from bed, took a hot bath, and prepared myself a nice hot meal as well. seeing all the mountain people, and animals living and thriving in these tough conditions gave me immense joy and inspiration, I have particularly looked fwd to all the clips where they served you hot meals in those tough atmospheric conditions and also you petting those innocent mountain dogs, the landscapes, mountains and everything shown in the video has given me a fresh perspective and a new energy. thank you so much for posting this, I'm an avid traveler too (think of all snow mountain hikes, mini ones though) but still your video gave me some new energy. Thank you sop much for posting this and keep enjoying life the way you do.
Visually stunning, incredible storytelling! I cannot imagine the hard work you put in to film the footage on this epic trek. Each shot was carefully planned and set up - must be a lot of running back and forth to the camera! - to capture the scenery and convey the emotion. I especially love the dark indoor shots of local villagers cooking by the wood fire to prepare meals. I can feel the warm fire, smell the smoke, and taste the food. Simply magical! So glad I stumbled on your film. I did this trek 24 years ago when we made an unsuccessful attempt to climb Ramtang. The area was so remote and untouched back then. Looking back at my slides it’s fascinating to see those sites again and how much some things have developed since then.

Stunning views, amazing cloud inversions, spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The vastness and majestic size of the Himalayan peaks are hard to comprehend, even when they sit there in front of your eyes. When I trekked amongst them | always longed to return when I got home. I have been down for some personal reasons for a few days and want to tell you that I felt so much better watching your videos, especially the Nepal ones. I got stuck in bed for several days but yesterday while watching this documentary, I got up from bed, took a hot bath, and prepared myself a nice hot meal as well. seeing all the mountain people, and animals living and thriving in these tough conditions gave me immense joy and inspiration, I have particularly looked fwd to all the clips where they served you hot meals in those tough atmospheric conditions and also you petting those innocent mountain dogs, the landscapes, mountains and everything shown in the video has given me a fresh perspective and a new energy. thank you so much for posting this, I'm an avid traveler too (think of all snow mountain hikes, mini ones though) but still your video gave me some new energy. Thank you sop much for posting this and keep enjoying life the way you do.

Visually stunning, incredible storytelling! I cannot imagine the hard work you put in to film the footage on this epic trek. Each shot was carefully planned and set up - must be a lot of running back and forth to the camera! - to capture the scenery and convey the emotion. I especially love the dark indoor shots of local villagers cooking by the wood fire to prepare meals. I can feel the warm fire, smell the smoke, and taste the food. Simply magical! So glad I stumbled on your film. I did this trek 24 years ago when we made an unsuccessful attempt to climb Ramtang. The area was so remote and untouched back then. Looking back at my slides it’s fascinating to see those sites again and how much some things have developed since then.

Great video as always Nic!! Having done AC, ABC and multiple times EBC, want to do this and Manaslu. However there seems to be crazy parts that make me uncomfortable and hence not planning to attempt anytime soon. Maybe someday. Seeing this detailed video, its almost I am doing the trek. Stunning views, amazing cloud inversions, spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The vastness and majestic size of the Himalayan peaks are hard to comprehend, even when they sit there in front of your eyes. When I trekked amongst them | always longed to return when I got home. The peace and quiet, yet the noises of nature are priceless when compared to the humdrum of city life. Amazing video - I have subscribed!
