    Im surprised you put yellow as the 3rd most common, I think of the solid colors, that is the hardest to find, loose at least. I think the atomic purple controller (loose) is the 2nd most common. Not boxed, but loose.

    • @NintendoCollecting
      @NintendoCollecting  10 лет назад +2

      Agreed for the loose controllers - but for rarity I was going by boxed. A lot of the solid colours or Funtastics can be swapped though

    rare Nintendo 64 controller - found in a forgotten storage locker - could sell for thousands of pounds at auction on October 19.
    The valuable controller was found in an unpaid/forgotten storage locker by our Derbyshire vendor. He understands the locker’s original owner had worked for Rare, a firm which designed games for Nintendo.
    David Wilson Turner, head of Hansons Toy/Gaming department, said: “The controller’s rarity is down to the fact that it was given as a prize to winners of a four-player E3 1997 StarFox Tournament in America. The very first N64 Gold controller came from that 1997 E3, which was held in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Ice blue was released in europe in its own box! I have mine right here :) . In fact i think you are right about the jungle green controller: Ice blue was the only of the transparent controllers,which was released in europe in its own box. The other transparent colors we had only came with the respective console.

I am just a little scare in buying some stuff on eBay exclusively these controllers because I know that it is a little expensive and sometimes we can find some people trying to be smart and selling fake stuff!!! In your experience do you think that they can make fake controllers like the millennium 2000 and power 100? And how worth do you think that these controller can be today? Thanks.

    With tight sticks in good condition I would never sell a 64 controller for less than $20, $25 for the rare ones. I find that grays are getting harder and harder to find too. I find Funtastics and Red/Green/Blue/Black solids almost weekly with consoles.

  • @Dragondude2525
    @Dragondude2525 10 лет назад +2

    I am just not this kind of collector. Like I mean it is nice to own all these controllers in box, and some still sealed, I just can't bring myself to make such superfluous purchases. I think in fact the only time i bought an official controller complete in box, it was the Goldstar 3DO controller and I got that for just 10$, but I only bought it because I had the Goldstar system, but not even one single 3DO controller. I actually still don't own any official Nintendo SNES or N64 controllers. I only have one third party SNES controller and third party N64 controller. i'd love to own even just a second of each controller so that I could play multiplayer games, but even the third party ones are 15-20$! So I have no luck, unless I find a bundle with 2 controllers for cheap and sell off the the extras.

    How about the controller versions, at the beginning of the life of my UK N64 I had controllers with a funny rubber cable loop system just behind the connector into the console, after a while with new controllers this appears to turn into a plastic type of loop holder and then later with other new controllers it disappeared! I have no idea what it was for but noted this difference over the time which may help to age the controllers.
    Any thoughts on this please let me know as I just thought about it watching your very helpful video.

      I doubt that he has OCD. I took it upon myself to search up the symptoms for OCD.
      Fear of dirt or germs or overconcern about body smells/secretions or the proper functioning of the body
      Overconcern with order, neatness, and exactness
      Fear of thinking bad thoughts or doing something embarrassing
      Constantly thinking of certain sounds, words, or numbers, or a preoccupation with counting or checking
      Constant need for approval or the need to apologize
      Fear that something terrible will happen or fear of harming yourself or someone else
      Compulsive behaviors
      Frequently washing hands, showering, or brushing teeth or overusing items to hide body smells
      Constantly cleaning, straightening, and ordering certain objects
      Repeatedly checking zippers and buttons on clothing
      Checking lights, appliances, or doors again and again to be sure they are turned off or closed
      Repeating certain physical activities, such as sitting down and getting up from a chair
      Hoarding objects, such as newspapers
      Asking the same question or saying the same thing over and over
      Avoiding public places or taking extreme measures to prevent harm to yourself or others
      Religious rituals, such as constant silent praying
      Does he has any of this? No, he's only collecting for fun.

      ***** That's for major cases. Most people with OCD don't have these symptoms. I have OCD and could care less about dirt/germs etc. :3

    I think you price the Japanese boxed controllers kinda low, especially if you add shipping, as with the blisters as almost all blisters are selling for over $350 right now. Im really hoping this is just a fad and the prices will come back down.
