Oh Man!! This is amazing! Wow.. I'd be playing them all the time because of how much nostalgia they all bring in thier own little ways. :) So happy to see this and happy for you.
Watching this makes me want to go back in 90s and replay all my N64 games and actually take the time to appreciate the system. Thanks for the video. :D
I have the "Ice" 64. It looks really cool on my display. I think these have aged pretty well, so while they don't look as "sleek" and don't blend in as typical home entertainment boxes, they still look aesthetically appealing. They look fun to collect, too! Nice and organized video :)
Zacho Well, that's your opinion. The reason the PS1 beat the N64 in terms of game variety was that it was more friendly to third party developers than the N64 was.
@CherryBombGamer I am not 100% sure if they ever were actually factory sealed. The consoles were definitely never sealed entirely in plastic wrap but there may have been a sticker sealing the box. On the inside of the box the controller, console, and instruction manuals had bags that were unsealed. To call a N64 console "factory sealed" is not entirely accurate. A console of "Like New" quality in the box would sell for, I would say, $200 or so but I would never pay over that.
Dude you should really film this in daylight and shoot it properly so we can enjoy the actual colours and see that collection the way it deserves to be seen
@PsychoJinjo VERY good question :) Since my videos are all collecting I understand where it comes from. I grew up playing it all the time and I still play Super Smash Bros and Mario Party on a weekly basis for a few hours. I put back in my favourites once a year and beat them so I definitely still play it. N64 Forever!
@64supermarioreturns One of the nicest comments I have recieved while making videos - you're welcome and thanks for the kind words! I am starting a new line of collecting videos tomorrow that you might want to check out called "Collecting Tips 101"
@zeldakink64 Thanks! It is the only complete console collection for the N64 I have seen. I do not have all of the different boxes - your Pokemon was the Battle Set or a similar name and usually sells for $150+ (for the AUS console with stickers and the same footprint of the original N64). The DK64 console you have is quite common in North America but it does sell for more than the boxed Jungle Green console since it had an expansion pack and DK64 game. I would estimate yours is $80-$120 boxed.
Welcome Bwantley! Good question - in increasing order or rarity, I would say: Jungle, Ice, Fire, Grape, Watermelon and rarest is Smoke. This is just what I have observed. Rarest console would be the Gold or the Pokemon version. I would be kicking myself too but finding it again is part of the fun for collectors :)
@CherryBombGamer Yes I certainly do. It is actually yellow. I am currently only missing three very, very limited edition controllers that were released exclusively in a specific chain of stores in Japan and the third was a gold E3 1997 controller with the N logo. I really like the DK64 controller. So unique!
Great video Dan, I really liked the way you walked through the countries - and kept the total running count of the different ones. All your info was accurate too - thanks for referring to Jusco as "Clear Gray" :) One interesting nugget: the Aus/Eur Pokemon controller actually is slightly different from the US Pokemon controller. The "Pokemon" logo is slightly smaller, and it has a small "TM" just below it to the right which the US version doesn't have. Check it out yourself!
@fribert1 There was special packaging for a DK64 Jungle Green console that was just the same as the Jungle green. There was a special box for a Star Wars set too but that just had a regular black console. There was a special box too as a Zelda set but again that was a regular console. If you have seen other solid colored consoles other than the black, gold and Pokemon ones then they are most definitely custom. Hope this helps!
That is a good question. Normally I try not to collect doubles but I do have some right now. I am currently in the chaos of writing final papers and exams so in a month or so I will have some time to take a better look.
That collection is amazing man. I have the pokemon ones, gold japan version, orange, Mario edition, Jungle Green and a coupe of normal ones. Love how Nintendo released all these versions. We dont see this anymore.
Nintendo Collecting Always felt the N64 was the magical Nintendo. No one will ever match it. Gamecube came close but the N64 will always be special. Yes Switch models are very expensive. Thanks for replying. Awesome channel.
Yes I have with roommates and friends. They usually are just frustrated at the TV and yelling at people online. Nintendo makes me smile. Every. Single. Time. I turn on the console and play
@MegaGamemaster007 The white / blue console was much more common in Europe and Japan than the rest of the world. It is most definitely more rare world wide than the Funtastics and the standard black console but it if most likely on par with the gold console or Pokemon Blue console worldwide. Hope this helps!
@SoukerWorldGaming Yes I certainly do. I have the 8 North American boxed ones as well as roughly 15 boxed Japanese ones and 3 sealed blister pack ones.
wow that is the best n64 collection i have ever scene in my life very good work mate :).just wanted to say i have had the Australian pokemon n64 since i was a kid the box i have 4 that one is a lot bigger and a different design. i also have the jungle green one and it has a different box as well this one comes with a DK 64 cart. just wanted to know are they worth the same amount to the ones u have or what? plz reply great vid mate(:
dude, are u like freaking rich or something??? im a gamer/rare hunter/collectionist, and im jealous of you right now, i am OFFICIALLY your number 1 fan, cuz u inspired me to hunt down all of these consoles, even though theyre all old. My advicce; KEEP those clean and dust-free, cuz in the future, theyre gonna be worth MILLIONS of money, im SpeederMan1000, your official number 1 fan
Well you could buy the Donkey Kong Jungle Green set and it came with the expansion pack. Very few games used it and even fewer required it so it was not really necessary
@CutterSchrute The clear ones I found all on kijiji around my hometown in Canada. The Japanese ones I bought (all but one) from Japan itself. Shipping was A LOT for many of them. If you are looking to keep your costs low, buying from craigslist or kijiji is the best option! Good Luck Hunting for them!
@georgepenny Yes I recall that set and have seen pictures of it. If I said it was not released in Europe I was mistake but I thought I made an annotation. The black and grey controller you have is fairly common in Japan but rare for the rest of the world as it was a Japanese exclusive. With the box and game it sells for $40-$60 and the controller alone would normally sell for $20 or so. I am uncertain of how many were produced. That controller was actually also released seperately in another box
@Belcoot0161 Well you can do it without actually modding the technology in your console by removing the plastic that prevents the NTSC games from going into the consoles. You need to remove a small square of plastic from the white cartidge holder on the inside of the console. I think there are videos of how to do this here on youtube. Good luck!
I do too! It is my 2nd favorite item in my collection. I am selling a boxed Daiei Hawks controller right now under my name (on ebay) if you wanted to see what that looks like
@videogamepimp22 "Brand new" is tough with consoles since they were never actually sealed so its tough to tell. If the box, instructions, styrofoam, console, controller and cords are in great shape then $75 is a good price I would say. I would always stick to under $100 for the funtastic consoles with box.
I want to say this. You are amazing. Such a great collection. I only have "ice" which is great. I love a lot of the 64's games. Great console. Also, I like the SNES a lot too. Do you have a collection of NES or SNES?
thanks for the information. I'm also trying to start collecting, atm i have nothing. Are there any websites that you could recommend to me which are good for buying rare controllers / consoles? thanks or did you just source the consoles as and when you could from ebay ?
Hey lithium I was wondering; do you sell any of your items? Obviously not the ones that are directly part of your collection but any duplicates you happen to acquire?
also im finding it hard to source information about all the variations of nintendo consoles and controllers. Do you have a list of them or know a good website which has information about them... thanks for the help in advance
i have alot too i have boxed n64 consoles and boxed n64 games incredible video would love too have all that must of took alot of time too make keep up the great vidz
dude your my freaking hero man im also a n64 consoole collector i have the iceblue gold black and fire orange im trying too collect all the colors nice video keep it up
Just to let you know the pokemon battle set was sold in Europe (I live in UK). (the console you described as having pokemon stickers on) I can confirm that I had one when i was younger . also I have just bought a controller that is grey and black and came with the japanese mario kart. Do you know how rare this is?
Really good video! I have every Europe release except smoke (seems hard to find a PAL copy)... Am trying to resist going for the America and Japan releases as well....
Lithium your collection is utterly incredible, it's the sort of thing I'm working towards now myself. I have a question about the price of a specific console. Would $150.00 CAD be a fair price for a CIB Japanese orange Pikachu console? Thanks lithium!
I recall having seen a Zelda N64 Console, a Donkey Kong N64 Console and a Star Wars N64 Console. Are they not considered original consoles, or are they considered custom consoles somehow?
@MrNorskgamer I still consider the collector known as finngamer to be the God of N64 (he inspired me). He has every game and is missing only 1 controller I believe (I am missing 2). I may have all of the consoles (perhaps double what he has) but the awesomeness of having every single game with box and manual is unreal. Check out his page if you like here on youtube!
I do not have it at this time. I find it difficult to spend over $500 on something that would only allow me to play a handful of games in a language I do not understand (Japanese) :P
Oh Man!! This is amazing! Wow.. I'd be playing them all the time because of how much nostalgia they all bring in thier own little ways. :) So happy to see this and happy for you.
6:41 thought it was going to take a dive off the table! Wiping my forehead off now.
Awesome collection, though. Those are are beautiful.
This guy came a long way saw his latest vids, impressed!
Nice collection man, the N64 was definitely the shit back in the 90s. Wish we could go back to that time when things were much simpler.
The PlayStation was way better
Zacho
Well, that's your opinion. The reason the PS1 beat the N64 in terms of game variety was that it was more friendly to third party developers than the N64 was.
+M1GarandMan3005 thats so true, and if the 64dd was actually successful, that would not even have been the case
And when things were affordable
Great collection and very informative. Nice to see such a dedicated collector such as yourself.
Yes. That is correct. The 'Do Not Remove' is there so you know that the jumper pak helps make the console run
Dude you should really film this in daylight and shoot it properly so we can enjoy the actual colours and see that collection the way it deserves to be seen
Haha very true for a 12 year old video. I should re-do it now.
@videogamepimp22 Nice! You are well on your way to having the NTSC collection of 9. Thanks for the kind words too! I love these consoles!
I have the OG gray but a store near me has the gold variant, might have to go grab that thing it’s sweet
@16bitghost Thanks very much! The N64 console collection is my pride and joy.
@PsychoJinjo VERY good question :) Since my videos are all collecting I understand where it comes from. I am starting a new line of collecting videos tomorrow that you might want to check out called "Collecting Tips 101"
Thanks for the information. I have since (posting the video) realized I made some small errors in this video dealing with regions
@zeldakink64 Thanks! It is the only complete console collection for the N64 I have seen. I do not have all of the different boxes - your Pokemon was the Battle Set or a similar name and usually sells for $150+ (for the AUS console with stickers and the same footprint of the original N64). I would estimate yours is $80-$120 boxed.
@gubakje Which dark blue console? The Pokemon one was released in EUR as well- if I didnt say that it was an error! Thanks!
Welcome Bwantley! Good question - in increasing order or rarity, I would say: Jungle, Ice, Fire, Grape, Watermelon and rarest is Smoke. This is just what I have observed. Awesome. Is the dark blue one the Grape console? What is it called in Holland?
Thanks for this superb historical Nintendo 64 console breakdown...🤘🏼💯✔️
Okay awesome. Thanks for letting me know. It is mostly controllers and some boxes (no consoles). Work hard until the end of exams and good luck!
That is a good question. Normally I try not to collect doubles but I do have some right now. I am currently in the chaos of writing final papers and exams so in a month or so I will have some time to take a better look.
u have inspired me to start gathering more n64 games and consoles
great vid btw cant wait to see more
That collection is amazing man. I have the pokemon ones, gold japan version, orange, Mario edition, Jungle Green and a coupe of normal ones. Love how Nintendo released all these versions. We dont see this anymore.
Agreed but the Switch is getting some cool variations, but they are already $500 each
Nintendo Collecting Always felt the N64 was the magical Nintendo. No one will ever match it. Gamecube came close but the N64 will always be special. Yes Switch models are very expensive. Thanks for replying. Awesome channel.
There are 16 unique N64 consoles and 30 unique official controllers
Thanks SpeederMan1000 - I keep my room clean and tidy at all times. I doubt they will be worth millions, but thousands perhaps
Yes I have with roommates and friends. They usually are just frustrated at the TV and yelling at people online. Nintendo makes me smile. Every. Single. Time. I turn on the console and play
Thanks! It is awesome having all of them. The green one can be obtained with a matching controller for $40! Its not that much
@MegaGamemaster007 The white / blue console was much more common in Europe and Japan than the rest of the world. It is most definitely more rare world wide than the Funtastics and the standard black console but it if most likely on par with the gold console or Pokemon Blue console worldwide. Hope this helps!
The Hello Kitty one is just a controller - not a console. I am still missing the Hello Kitty and the Geoffrey controllers but that is all
@ddr2nite Thanks for the heads up! You are refering to the Yellow Pokemon controller vs the blue NA controller?
@SoukerWorldGaming Yes I certainly do. I have the 8 North American boxed ones as well as roughly 15 boxed Japanese ones and 3 sealed blister pack ones.
Thanks! I think it took me roughly 2 years to complete this collection, maybe a little more
You're my new idol, I just turned 18 and I decided that I want to do this, and collect every video game for it. Thanks for this inspiration
wow that is the best n64 collection i have ever scene in my life very good work mate :).just wanted to say i have had the Australian pokemon n64 since i was a kid the box i have 4 that one is a lot bigger and a different design. i also have the jungle green one and it has a different box as well this one comes with a DK 64 cart. just wanted to know are they worth the same amount to the ones u have or what? plz reply great vid mate(:
@muiscnight Actually Microsoft had a few variations of the original Xbox and there are many special editions of the Xbox 360.
dude, are u like freaking rich or something??? im a gamer/rare hunter/collectionist, and im jealous of you right now, i am OFFICIALLY your number 1 fan, cuz u inspired me to hunt down all of these consoles, even though theyre all old. My advicce; KEEP those clean and dust-free, cuz in the future, theyre gonna be worth MILLIONS of money, im SpeederMan1000, your official number 1 fan
It is not incredibly rare if you live in Europe or Australia. It is not commonly seen for sale and is likely around the 5th or 6th rarest N64 console
Well you could buy the Donkey Kong Jungle Green set and it came with the expansion pack. Very few games used it and even fewer required it so it was not really necessary
I think you may be mistaken here- Perfect Dark required the expansion pack, Goldeneye did not
I can't do anything else than favourite this one!

@CmlDexter I was quite certain he is still missing several consoles. I might be mistaken.
Actually I mentioned it with the Jungle green console because they are the same
Correct - was odd but that is how it was nearly always bundled for the standard set
@Belcoot0161 Well you can do it without actually modding the technology in your console by removing the plastic that prevents the NTSC games from going into the consoles. You need to remove a small square of plastic from the white cartidge holder on the inside of the console. I think there are videos of how to do this here on youtube. Good luck!
Its simply a matter of choice. Which is your favorite color? I would get that
Those and Turok, Quake and Duke Nukem are the only others I can think of but I am sure there are more
I do too! It is my 2nd favorite item in my collection. I am selling a boxed Daiei Hawks controller right now under my name (on ebay) if you wanted to see what that looks like
Great collection. Do you collect the controllers boxed as well?
@NewVegasFan101 Usually the Fire one with a mix of controller colors. Orange was my favorite color growing up.
Excellent collection. I'll go after the consoles after I've finished the controller collection. :)
Gotta love the N64!
@videogamepimp22 "Brand new" is tough with consoles since they were never actually sealed so its tough to tell. or did you just source the consoles as and when you could from ebay ?
I have a basic grey system and a jungle green controller. So lucky to have an N64 tbh because the N64 is the bomb.
It is actually the most common other than the normal black console
That was a great deal! Nice find
Jesus... Impressive Collection! It would be nice to see them set up in a few schowcases. *drooling* :D
Hey lithium I was wondering; do you sell any of your items? Obviously not the ones that are directly part of your collection but any duplicates you happen to acquire?
Nice video! I was curious about the extreme green controller and if it ever had a matching console. Now I know!
have you used all of them because i heard one of them has a unique feature to actually clean cartriges when you play
That is sad but wow yours lasted a very long time. How was the joystick at the end? Was it what broke?
I guess they are when you combine them together - a single one is not worth $1000...yet :P
They all look so beautiful I love Nintendo 64.
That takes dedication man. I want them all!
On average they were $100 each so that is easy to calculate.
cool consoles man whats you fav n64 game?
also im finding it hard to source information about all the variations of nintendo consoles and controllers. Do you have a list of them or know a good website which has information about them... thanks for the help in advance
@lithium017 how'd you get all of these? Because when I get a job I'm planning on getting a couple of the see through ones.
Omg he could buy a car with that
Back then I could buy a 1990 cheap used broken down Volvo. Today I could buy 2000 broken down Prius if they existed
i have alot too i have boxed n64 consoles and boxed n64 games incredible video would love too have all that must of took alot of time too make keep up the great vidz
dude your my freaking hero man im also a n64 consoole collector i have the iceblue gold black and fire orange im trying too collect all the colors nice video keep it up
I like the Daiei Hawks and Jusco one’s.
@finngamer Thanks finngamer! And thanks for the response help!
Eventually the 64dd for sure but I am not sure about the tristar
Just to let you know the pokemon battle set was sold in Europe (I live in UK). (the console you described as having pokemon stickers on) I can confirm that I had one when i was younger .
also I have just bought a controller that is grey and black and came with the japanese mario kart. Do you know how rare this is?
Really good video! I have every Europe release except smoke (seems hard to find a PAL copy)... Am trying to resist going for the America and Japan releases as well....
Actually, I go 'crazy' and use the Fire or the Jungle ones since they are my favorite colors :P
Lithium your collection is utterly incredible, it's the sort of thing I'm working towards now myself. I have a question about the price of a specific console. Would $150.00 CAD be a fair price for a CIB Japanese orange Pikachu console? Thanks lithium!
Hey lithium017, do you have or plan to buy the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive?
I love it when consoles come in many different colors to bad Nintendo is the only one that did/does that....
Awesome Nintendo 64 console dude
Hey man, where can I find more info on that ANA jumper pack cover? Never heard of it and can't find anything about it.
@lithium017 Thanks! Do you know how much they costed?
which one do you play the most
Great video and collection but your missing the green donkey kong country console I'm not to sure but I think they released a special edition console
Thanks I appreciate it and good luck to you as well!
I recall having seen a Zelda N64 Console, a Donkey Kong N64 Console and a Star Wars N64 Console. Are they not considered original consoles, or are they considered custom consoles somehow?
HOLY CRAP. I'M... I'M SPEECHLESS. I want that green one back. That was my first N64. Not the Donkey Kong one. Just the green console. I want it. :(
Have you ever tried those systems?
@MrNorskgamer I still consider the collector known as finngamer to be the God of N64 (he inspired me). He has every game and is missing only 1 controller I believe (I am missing 2). I may have all of the consoles (perhaps double what he has) but the awesomeness of having every single game with box and manual is unreal. Check out his page if you like here on youtube!
Love the console and the forum
Hey lithium017 which one is your favorite?
I do not have it at this time. I find it difficult to spend over $500 on something that would only allow me to play a handful of games in a language I do not understand (Japanese) :P
