    you should use the manufacturer lut it will give you the best results then use a different lut or manually make a a color grade

    • @Brad_West
      @Brad_West  Год назад

      Yeah the manufacturer LUTs are a great place to start to get a neutral rec.709 image. Creative LUT or manual grade after that is great 😄👌🏼

    Brad how do you handle Color Balance - White Balance in terms of sequence? Do you WB first, then apply the LUT? Or do it after applying LUT? Apologies if this is covered in your master class - I signed up for that and will begin tonight! Thanks.

    • @Brad_West
      @Brad_West  Год назад +1

      Hey David. Firstly, thank you so much for the support! I appreciate it 😄🙏🏼
      I usually adjust the white balance after applying the LUT. The main reason is because with log footage being so flat, it’s often tough to see what the white balance really looks like. The balance color effect also struggles to give accurate results when applied to log footage. But when applied to footage that has been converted to rec.709 by means of a LUT, it works much better 😄👍🏼
