    I literally just flew this exact flight a few weeks ago as my first ever business class flight to try it out, such a coincidence this got recommended to me (or not 😝). Honestly an incredible experience. Being able to sleep comfortably during a flight is a game changer.

    I’m a long time student of this channel and have accumulated close to a million points between Hilton, Chase, and Amex. Flying for business helps tremendously with accumulation. The issue is that I have point paralysis. I don’t know where to go and think I’m scared I’ll use my points unwisely so I just don’t. I wish there was a service that helped someone like me figure out the best way to use them. A points travel agent, as it were. Thanks for the content!

    So I have a question: I also have the venture X card, and you earn 5x miles when booking a flight through the Cap 1 travel portal. But by my transferring points to a partner, you don’t earn the 5x points. I’m guessing it’s just a better deal to transfer the points and book through the partner website?

      Make sure you file a claim with KLM on their website. Search Google for "KLM cancelation compensation" and it should be one of the first few results. You can log into your account, select your flight, and they'll get back to you about how much money they owe you. You can receive hundreds of dollars by submitting this claim and it only takes a few minutes. It's a European Union law that forces these airlines to pay out for canceling or delaying flights

    Is it hard to find award seat for certain dates? Or do most people get these seats for whatever date they are on, then schedule the whole trip around those dates?

    • @DailyDrop
      @DailyDrop  6 месяцев назад +2

      Great question! It does depend on the departure and arrival airports, usually finding an award seat on a specific date isn’t too difficult, especially if using a tool like Seats.Aero. In this case, we knew we wanted to leave sometime in mid November, so we found the best award seat first and then scheduled the rest of the trip around that!

    How do I know that flight for Points will still be available by time my Points transfer over?

    Is there a hotel version of flying blue that allows pooling different properties points?

    • @JacobsPointsAndProfit
      @JacobsPointsAndProfit 5 месяцев назад

      There's a couple. Points can be transferred to Hyatt from both Chase and Bilt and you can transfer Choice points from Citi, Capital One, and American Express. Marriott and IHG also have multiple transfer partners, but those points are worth less in value

    I'm still very curious to know how's someone's credit rating is affected by opening up all of these credit cards

    • @DailyDrop
      @DailyDrop  6 месяцев назад +2

      That is a great and important question! In the short term, opening a new card can have a small impact on your score because of the "hard inquiry" that will appear on your report. But long term if you use the card responsibly and always pay it off in full, having another line of credit actually improve your score in a number of ways by improving your utilization ratio, increasing the average age of your credit, and the total lines of credit you have. Of course the key is using it as if it is cash or a debit card.
