Ramen in a coffee maker works surprisingly well. It steams the noodles perfectly.
what do you mean it steams the noodles perfectly? Do you put them in the top or what?
Blass Lightyear you put them in the pot and pour water in the tank like you are making coffee- that’s really the only way to get the water to boil. The water stays hot since the plate under the pot is hot (not hot enough to boil water but it keeps it hot). The noodles are done pretty fast. You can either add the powder to the pot and let the noodles cook in the pot with the flavor, or take the noodles out and sprinkle the powder over the noodles in their bowl (both work pretty well)
I know right!! I had to make ramen in a coffee maker at a hotel since they didn't own a microwave yet..

I actually did! I was only 20 at the time, and had my first apartment, a studio . I hadn't even got pots and pans yet or a hot plate. Well , I wanted to impress my boyfriend with my cooking , so I put everything in an electric coffee pot.... we fell asleep , and I woke up to the smell of my coffee pot actually melting down..
It had gone dry and burned the living whoopsie out of my pot...... we went out for dinner... 3 years later , he married me!

I think it would actually be more cost efficient to use an actual stove and pan because it's not like the ingredients they used were cheap or anything and using the coffee maker would not only ruin your coffee maker but you also would have to spend so much time waiting for things to cook on it.

If you look in the store, you can find a small egg pan, and a small saucepan that fits exactly on the element. With these, you can cook an egg, warm up some precooked sausage or bacon, or a small piece of ham. Use the saucepan to heat any kind of canned food like ravioli or chili, and the pot itself is good for soup or hot dogs. Also, you can lay a slice of bread on the element for toast. I would recommend a good Bunn coffeemaker, the better the coffeemaker, the better you can cook with it. This is a great thing to do if you are in a hotel room or a dorm that you’re really not allowed to cook in. There’s lots of ideas here to experiment with.

Don't cook in hotel coffee makers. Even if you clean it spotlessly, strong flavors will spoil the coffee for others. Housekeeping doesn't need the extra hassle because they're understaffed and overworked. *Most important* of all: hotel coffee makers are a target of every creepy person who thinks it's clever to use it as a toilet. I wouldn't use it for *anything*

Idk what kind of coffee makers you guys have but mine basically ONLY puts out boiling water. Edit: I should specify hot enough water thats just under boiling. You could easily cook ramen with it.... I'm going to go try it now.

This gives me strong flashbacks from my military service. We weren't allowed to use electric devices in our bedrooms except an electric kettle, which meant that if you wanted a hot meal when the dining room was closed your only option was using it for cooking. I made potatoes, pasta (+sauce!), sausages, and many more kettle abominations.
The coffee tasted weird no matter how many times I scrubbed the poor kettle.

Using a generic coffee maker implies a person is already okay with bland coffee taste. So, all that cooking and the subsequent thorough washing wouldn't really diminish the already bland coffee taste by more than a little amount.

The stuff coming out of the salmon is not fat. It's a protein in salmon called albumin. When you cook salmon at a temperature that is too high, albumin comes out and looks like that.
