I think it was unfair to give her additional food requirements after making her cook with only a blender. Plus they didn't tell her about it and let her plan. What if her whole meal had dairy? It's unfair to her
Everyone’s going on about how rude the producer was, but... it just sounded like either she forgot and then noticed Alexis was about to put in cheese or (most likely) it was scripted. Calm down.
that’s literally exactly what happened. people just want a reason to be mad. alexis’s producer was trying to prevent her from having to make a new batch of pesto
I think people's issue was that the producer is watching the entire time, sees the cheese, then decided to tell Alexis not to use it with a loud shout... that's not a good idea when someone's holding a grater! source: the grating incident of 2017
Bro how does she always kill it with like the most useless appliances, but then when she's given something you can actually cook with like a microwave she struggles.
Also, for the microwave episode, she couldn't do research (since it's technically a "cooking" appliance, so she's given an extra handicap), and that made a HUGE difference. She didn't even know how to operate the thing for 60% of the time.
@@satanlovesu She specifically said dark chocolate and coconut cream. Coconut cream contains no animal products and dark chocolate doesn't tend to have dairy depending on how dark it is.
We know they told her beforehand, because there's no way she would have made all this stuff specifically with a blender if they hadn't. Heat or no heat, animal products would have normally been her first go to. And the fact she not only excluded animal products, but explicitly made it raw says it all. There's no way her producer wouldn't have said anything otherwise and they just added that scene to make y'all focus on the wrong thing

The GamerClub Chocolate does not contain dairy, it’s from a cacao bean, UNLESS it’s a milk chocolate, where an example of a brand Which is Cadbury make “Dairy Milk” Chocolates (which really a giveaway of being a dairy)

You guys should've used the Vitamix Blender, you're able to heat the food you're blending with just friction. And you can also make icecream. I genuinely have made three course meals on that
Thelma DeLaMont it’s probably because it’s not a simple appliance. Like a blender only blends. Or maybe because it’s not really a challenge. It’s supposed to be a weird challenge, cooking with something you’d never expect
When you work in the industry, it just becomes a normal thing. When I saw the word blender certain recipes just came to mind naturally. Except these young people call themselves chefs without industry experience, I have been working in the industry for 11 years and I am still not a chef yet. And the internet is making chefs lazy too.

@Aesthetic _Gacha_ They didn't tell her about the no dairy part until she already had thought out a cooking plan and was just about to add cheese. They could've told her beforehand
@Aesthetic _Gacha_ she was literally about to use the cheese into the blender and the producer stopped her in a rude way. why couldn't they have told her no dairy before alexis even took out the cheese and put it in the counter?
The Parmesan was sitting right at the front of the cutting board... it had to of been set up to look the way it did. The hate the producer gets is justified.
Spoon the i honesty doubt there was no pre show set up. The challenge was picked ahead of time. The taster was chosen ahead of time. The set was made ahead of time. Why not during all this pre planning was Alexis not informed? Why was that part not edited out? For the theatre show that is buzzfeed/tasty.
Not only that, the damn block of PARMESAN is sitting on the CUTTING BOARD right IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. I highly doubt a chef would have various ingredients lying around for the sheer convenience of decoration, unless the said ingredient is being used as a form of decoration for the plate. However, none the less, whether or not the cheese was going to be used for said involvement, the producer should have noticed when she set the counter with her ingredients. Waiting till that exact moment to announce the fact that the taste-tester was vegan, is poor observation and communication on Tasty's part. Using the phrase, "Do not put Parmesan in.", was a very inappropriate, and ill-timed comment to make while she was in the process of prepping the dish. Having an outburst like this in a realistic setting, especially to the person making the dish in the first place, could wind up having a pan, or even the dish itself, thrown at you, while simultaneously being told to "make it your damn self, then". One could argue, it was a curve ball they were waiting to throw at her, but if that is the case, Tasty has the shittiest idea of comedy one could comprehend. On another note, I do commend Alexis for not allowing the change of events to hinder, nor completely tear down her dish. The lack of one ingredient does not always destroy the concept, but merely changes the pace of how a dish is interpreted.

@@snailmucus3921 it kinda did.. she was gonna use parmesan for the lasagna dish. they should've told her at the beginning.
Cajobu dude, I didn’t even know this was for a vegan, it was scripted so we knew it’s for a vegan and completely dairy free.
