when lord henry mystic attempted to speak canto, everyone laughed LMAO
Done very accurately - Westerners trying to speak Cantonese usually get the tones wrong, in the same style as Lord Henry!!!
I wish they’d make a movie out of this, the visuals and animatronics seem so lifelike
A S.E.A. disney plus series is in the works I heard
Danny Elfman's music, unique story, mythical Easter eggs! Hercules vs. the Lion, Albert meeting Sun Wukong, I love this!
2:40 that picture is very important (if you don’t understand it’s a picture of Disney’s secret society S.E.A Society of Explorers and Adventurers)
Some of the songs in this ride are catchy. This ride should be made into a movie
I wish Disney would release a full edit of the English lyrics. A bit of it was heard in this video which is great, but I want the whole cut!
Singing helmets:
Magic's in the air today. Stand beside me, don't look away. Try to find some words to sing! Who do you think will find him? Somebody's got to pay! No getting away from an ancient curse, and hiding will only make it worse!
Tikis:
Do not try to hide away. Magic's in the air today. Try to find some words to sing. Who do you think will find him? Somebody's got to pay!
There have English lyrics. Just don’t have the Cantonese lyrics only
It should be "Try to find some words to say!" According to backstory, Danny Elfman who sings the English lyrics himself, just made up all the words on the spot!!!
A uniquely original ride, no movie tie-in necessary.
Such wonderful detail and special effects inside the ride. I would like to see more fun stuff in the outside queue. The packing boxes on the loading carts outside could be manipulated a bit. They are TOO perfect. i would be great to see some of them open with mysterious parts sticking out. Or glowing or something.
Wow! This ride is so......AWESOME!!!! I'm very happy they came up with the idea to build this ride.
the car starts moving at 8:52 if you don’t want to see the queue
No.. No... The queue is a gem (as in very nice)
@@marolterr it is, but if you just wanted the ride (say, you've seen the queue before) I gave the timestamp lol
@@mysticcmars503 oh, ok
Thanks for the video. You've captured the queue atmosphere really well!
I wish they’d release the full soundtrack.
Excellent footage of this ride!!👍 So uniquely different. I've heard rumors of this park closing, due to the coronovirus. I hope it reopens soon.
HK Disneyland opens and closes temporarily according to the HK health situation. As of end-February it has reopened and operating on a 5-day weekly schedule for the time being ...
@@MultiBrilliant1
Very glad to hear that!👍Thanks!! 🙂
@@kendallskeep I'm an Annual Pass member, so it's been quite a relief to have our Park again being the happiest place in Hong Kong ...
@@MultiBrilliant1
I hear ya! Don't doubt that at all. I do know that feeling well. The Disney Parks are a source of joy that cannot be matched. I am very glad HK has this. Coming from Orlando's WDW here! 😄🏰🌴
@@kendallskeep I hope the USA parks can reopen well enough and return the Magic soon!!! But visitors must learn to be responsible, respectful and considerate with health protection measures, as we have here in Hong Kong with ours ...
Wow! What a trip! It’s a great mashup of other Disney ideas. California should have this but it will never happen
I have a feeling it was initiated for Disney California Adventure but the executives in Hong Kong saw the appeal and sought to make it exclusive to Disneyland in Hong Kong.
Great video! This (and Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars - catchy name!) are the standout attractions in the park, in my opinion! Ant-Man too now!
My sister screamed at the cannon because the cannon was pointing at her XD
Music is incredible!
Composer is Danny Elfman, the composer of all the Batman movie soundtracks and more!!!
@@MultiBrilliant1 you mean Beetlejuice and the nightmare before Christmas
@@reubenguttenberg7405 he's done so much, hard to keep track!!!
So cool, thank you for sharing!
Danny elf man at 3:01!
Now that is how a Trackless Ride is supposed to be done. Not what we got at Mickeys Runaway Railroad in Disney World in Orlando Florida
Did that ride 2 weeks ago and 1 of my two best rides in HK DL
Someday I'll ride it!
It’s in Hong Kong 🇭🇰
I live in Hong kong
2:03 And there’s Johnathan Hightower!
His name is Harrison Hightower III
I WOULD DIE FOR ALBERT
Me too! He’s so cute!!!!!
ME TOOO
Amazing ride for me, esp those with kids
Only Disney park I’ve been to love this ride
I like the armor’s song (time to find some words to say, who do you think he’ll find you, somebody is got to pay).
2:39 wait a minute that man in the left is… THE CREATOR OF THAT BUILDING IN TOKYO AND THE CURSE IDOL?!
that looks fun.
2:40 you can see shiriki utundu and Hightower, this means mystic manor is connected to tower of terror.
I miss this Ride so much >_
Is all of it in english? Or is there a different option in mandarin?
ZipZapZop it’s in English, mandarin and Cantonese
very cool!
Danny elfman from Tim burton's Beetlejuice, Batman, 9 the movie, corpse bride, Mars attack, and the nightmare before Christmas ⛄
This is a good ride
This rides are amazing so kids read it to
DANGIT Albert! XDDD
He’s so cute!
💕💕💕💕💕
Mystic Manor!!!!!!!!!!!
千葉のディズニーにもこんなの欲しかった(本気)
It’s not so scary. I may not be a fan of “haunted attractions”, but out of all the haunted mansions, I can tolerate this one.
Haunted mansion is not even that scary
is the place deserted?
It’s closed currently
@@WDWNT makes sense.
That must be a work day. everyone need to work and school so not many people go there but there’s will be much more people in holidays
@@alishanightshade3270 it's because currently there are no tourists in HK. Under normal circumstances HK Disneyland is already quite busy on weekdays and fully packed on weekends ...
I'm actually not at all surprised that the Mystic Manor is nowhere near as dark in concept as its American and Paris counterparts. Many Asian cultures would find the concept of a haunted house to be just a bit too much. There are more cultural differences at play than creative or artistic licence here.
Not really. Especially Hong Kong. It just low budgets. There’s haunted house during Halloween in Hong Kong. Many people go there for fun. HKDL have always low budgets.
You're correct up to a point - HK Disneyland didn't want a permanent Haunted Mansion ride and also wanted more attractions unique and exclusive to HK and not found in other Disney Parks ...
Composed by Danny Elfman Alan menken Stephen schwartz sir Elton John and Tim Rice
lol I just rode it today
Loved the north -salvic chamber or idk how to spell it lol but I’m it’s the part where the glass broke
Chinese room also good tho
I like this ride because it has sun wukong
Why would these rides have any English words at all? Who are these rides for?
There's going to be a lot of American tourists, and seeing as Hong Kong is a major center of trade and business, I'm assuming they thought there'd be a very high English audience. Tokyo keeps the English words on old attractions because they wanted a perfect copy of Disneyland, with the same iconic audio. (For new attractions, it's all in Japaneese) Paris keeps plenty of its rides in English, (Or partially in English) because they have a huge audience from the UK, just nearby. (Also, cast members say everything twice, both in English and French) Shanghai is the only place where literally everything you hear will not be in English. Hong Kong and Paris cast members both seemingly are trained in English and their language, and there is little to no language barrier in those parks
Hong Kong was a British colony. English is one of the 3 official languages of Hong Kong.
I like the first carriage more:> Imao I always ask the people who work in that ride that I always want to pick the first carriage Xd
The best is actually the 3rd carriage because the 3rd enters the Chinese Room (final scene) first, followed by the 1st, then the 4th and 2nd last, so the 3rd and 1st carriages experience the entire scene from the beginning. The 2nd and 4th carriages only experience the latter half of the entire scene ...
@@MultiBrilliant1 yes but I like seeing the knights and the crossbow
@@swarmeddan1836 the 3rd and either 2nd or 4th - can't remember now LOL - take that route with the singing suits of armor and the giant crossbow ...
Tribal arts sir 12:40-12:41
Sir 12:41
6:49 Is that a new Albert animatronic?
I think it’s been there for a while.
Yeah. Since opening but they made it a bit more fluid.
Remake memake remake
Remake memake
is this their equivalent of the haunted mansion? if so it is nowhere as near as good .
It is it’s own thing, but in my opinion, it’s the greatest Disney ride in the world.
You’re right. It’s nowhere near as good. Because this is better.
Yup, nowhere near as good cause it's wayyy better
and i've been on all 3 haunted mansions and phantom mannor as well
then again, it's all subjective and nostalgia is a huge thing
It is, but they couldn't go for the ghost theme because the Chinese and Hong Kong culture is supposed to revere ghosts, so they didn't want to offend their main customers
its a completely different ride. they cant be compared at all my god
Disney just doesn't make rides like these anymore.
Zkfo
This ride kinda feels outdated which is weird considering the technology being used in it....I think there are much better Disney trackless rides out there///
I don’t think Rise is better
@@WDWNT not talking about the rise of the resistance... never been on it so can't judge that one. Even then, this is one of the less impressive trackless dark rides for me
@@centipede6823 at least better than Ratatouille
@@thwongterry Actually, that's the ride I thought it was comparable too but yeah this one is at least creative unlike Ratatouille
centi pede I do agree with you on the trackless part. So far only Pooh and Rise have made full use on this technology.
Looks boring
