Rob Swarbrick Left Liverpool to follow his dream of cooking
I knew he reminded me of somebody haha!
it takes steel cohones to cook outdoors in that weather.
you mean cojones?
Daniela dos Santos Silva, yup! just translating for my fellow Anglos.:)
If you want to translate it just say "balls"...COJONES is actually a WORD of a foreign language, if they dont know what it means, they wont know what cohones means either...and you are just corrupting someone else's language. Please dont do that. Pay foreign languages and cultures a little of respect.
Dish must've gone cold minutes after it was served on that plate.
If your foreign language gets 'corrupted' by a comment on a RUclips video, it doesn't sound like it's too weak to survive for much longer ;) But I'm sure it will and you are just massively overreacting, or just one of those generic internet trolls.
When i saw ratatouille I had a flash back of my childhood
Dale Gotostos maybe you’re Anton Ego
That's nice to hear :-) thank you for watching
It looks awesome. I love that he's cooking under snow and wind. Much respect!
I was so happy when you finally tasted the dish, a bite well deserved for cooking all that time in the freezing weather! :D
It tasted delicious!
Some people might consider this extreme cooking. I think this looks really fun! Really great instruction and acting!
What´s not to love in this video? starting with the magnificent scenery, the cook , the recipe and the music :))) great way to start the new year. Happy New Year to you and to all
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it.
Get a haircut!!!!!
BEAUTIFUL....going out in the snow now to recreate! ;)
Bit of a mad lad to be cooking outside in that weather.
Cooking in that weather? Now THAT is commitment. Kudos, sir!
Thank you!
Looks absolutely amazing!
Mmmmm delicious. Olive oil with a side of Cod and ratatouille.
Panfried cod with a touch of snow!!!
You can taste the hint of snow in it!
Looking pretty cold out there bro.
It was freezing mate..
Definitely a Liverpool fan
Amazing!!! He is cooking in the snow!!!

Hey amazing scenery and cooking we love norway and lofoten!
Salivating oooooo.... thanks Bart!
Mmmm, yummy , delicious ,You're a great chef
Lived in northern Norway for two years ,cod from there best fish I have ever eaten !
Really nice how Bart is using snow to use if for blanching :)
Also.. that trick with the cross cutting the tomatoes will come handy. Thanks for that great video!
Food looks amazing as usual.
Thank your for watching, glad you liked it.
I would love live there now without thinking
Hey Bart it looks like its going to snow today, how about cooking some fish outside.
That cod does look incredible!!!
It was amazing.. Skrei is fantastic.
You are the best 👍👍👍
I bet you’re hands were freezing!
They were! It was so so so so cold.. beautiful scenery!
We Norwegians shower in ice water!
Nice, now I want that dish AND go to Lofoten
We, the Portuguese, really like Norwegian cod. Unfortunately, only dried salted cod is available.
Fantastic!
Very Nice , wish I was there.
Delicious ..yummy yummy..👏👍😀
Amazing!
Cooking under those snows ... 🤙👍💪
Looks really delicious. I wonder how ratatouille taste like, in my country the ingredients for ratatouille is very expensive
I wouldn't last a few minutes in that weather. Good work.
So you use the most deliciuos, local and sustainable cod and then you pair it with peppers, eggplant and zucchini? Those sure grow very well in the norwegian winter!
loving the tunes
Thank you!
Nice place bro 😅😍
Is all i want idol, cooking under the snow
Mmm Delicious...🍱
I am doing this next week 100% sure!!! :)
Would love if you could provide more (critical) information on the food you use in the videos, e.g. the sustainability of cod fishing or the difference between different types of fish when it comes to preparig them
Bart...please just take me with you! Such a wonderful place! I wanna study in Norway but I'm a literature student...Don't know my scopes there!
Whoah so strange to watch a video from a place you know yourself 😵
Maria L I know right, I could almost spot my house.
Hadde jeg visst at de skulle filme i Lofoten hadde jeg tatt en snartur fra Oslo!
the weatherrrrrrrrr
Beautiful I want to eat like this all the time but fish is so expensive now a days
Hi there! Any ideas as to what I could substitute the eggplant/aubergine with? I'm cooking for my parents and unfortunately they're not fans of it. Appreciate any suggestions!
Great
Yes! With skin, the Omega-3 goodies.
What if a dog pissed on that side walk where he collected the snow no need to add seasoning
Kainyu Grace yes that’s what crossed my mind too
Side walk? He's on a dock...
You are correct it is a dock. So what if a dog pissed on the dock where he collected the snow :)
Don't eat the yellow snow!
Bart I have never seen snow (from Nairobi) was just curious .. love your recipes though :)
Sieht sehr lecker aus!
Nice !!
Pretty ironic he’s cooking up all these summer vegetables surrounded by snow....Still looks AMAZING though!
YUM
Wow, cooking in a weather like that?! Much respect bart! You gonna make compatition for the Food Busker xD The dish looked amazing too btw.
Hah! Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it.
That backing music was goin ham
Can I still cook it if I don't have the snow?
Wind, snow and bare hands. Oooo
Perfect combination ;-)
I am unnecessarily befuddled by the olive oil being in a gravy boat.
But she is already befsudbm,,, nevermind
what kind of thyme you are using bartz?
Just a few sprigs of fresh thyme.
Lofoten😍😍
Cook me that, and I'll be happy as a little girl!
Ha ha ha, the Norwegian lads are cool guys. The YT is flooded with Southerners frying fish in their villa terraces in the 35 oC sun but the Norwegians do it in a wirling snow storm - Vikings indeed.
Why do you cook out of season Meditteranean vegetables in the middle of winter in Nowrway? Doesn't make sense.
Because they are available in the shops. If you limit yourself to what grows around Lofoten in January you're gonna have a tough time.
Make use of it, dude! Those veggies can be cultivated out of season, we're not hunters-gatherers anymore.
Beautiful Lofoten must be freezing cold in this season
It was freezing!
more garlic gargoyle!!
Why didn't you just start by cooking the onion and then add the peppers (I always put those two in at the same time though, they take about the same amount of time to soften) and other veg?
just curious.. how come he fried the fish in veggie oil instead of olive oil?
Hahaha you like gennaro....bravo..
Are you going to bring more Vietnamese/Japanese food?😉
We are going to Japan really soon!
served with a garnish of natural unflavored granita
that snow from the floor tho..
kirin lol I thought that was a bit overkill too. I don't think even the cook has ever done that.
I guess he did not say that you need to have all the ingredients in room temperature...
This is still to this day, the most complicated dish I ever created (I put my own twist on it) and it’s delicious. The only down side is I spend so much time making it, I didn’t have the time to make a soup (I was going to make a mushroom cream soup), so I just poured orange juice...I think I was 17 or something but making a fancy meal and just drink orange juice feels really weird to me lol.
lol that rock salt at the end is gonna crunch between your teeth
Man I just feel cold watching the video...
It was really really cold!
lol this guy is trying to cook as fast as he can to go back inside
Haha yes we were.. Thank you for watching.
You punished the cod using a non-stick pan
You used the word "deskin". Actually, you can just use the verb "skin", which means to take the skin off.
Wow, no quintruple layer gloves, 25 layers of clothing and a radiator above your head??!
Ratatouille in the winter snow... Sad, it's great that use sustainable fish but not using seasons vegies...
Exactly!
Season veggies? In Norway During winter? :P
what the hell are you doing outside dude??
2 people/plate????
You are making freakin' fish, no need for sick heavy metal music in the background :D Nice recipe anyways!
It was perfect for it. And I don1t like metal.
I disagree, that background track seemed to be working.
Moody totally disagree.... there's ALWAYS a need for heavy metal background music! Rap on the other hand....blaahhhhh
you called that heavy metal ? smh
There is ALWAYS a need for sick heavy metal music, in the background or otherwise. ;)
Why did you cook the eggplant, zucchini and paprika separately?
Hanna Liv cause off the time it takes to get the right texture, paprika takes a bit longer
Because they needed less time to 'soften' than the bell peppers and onions?
Yeah...but then he could have still added them to the paprika...
Paprika?
In some regions, Paprika = Bell peppers (both fresh and dried powdered form as well). Fresh from the market, yellow, orange, and red varieties are called paprika/파프리카 here in Korea, too.
It's snowing. Go inside
notice he doesn't have a band-aid on his finger til later in the video... and he isn't using that finger when he holds the plate... lol someone cut themself making this video? appears that way
don't know how this tastes....but by the cooking ingredients alone...it looks mighty bland....also the summer vegetables are lacking colour....is it because of the cold?
Gewoon vis met groente
Precies
Love your video's. However this time I must say that music sucks all the atmosphere out of your video. Sometimes less is better.....
Sorry,, but all that effort and (looking delicious) veg preparation - then you reveal two micro-cubic pieces of cod
xDDD
Do you have shares in oil? Jesus...
Not even close to the top :p
what? you nuts
hey Bart what's up with your hair? Time for a haircut...?
The cod looks raw.... cover it and steam it a little. Otherwise, it must be amazing
G Nozza fish looks fine...
G Nozza yes definitely needs a little steaming
The way he moves his arms as he explains things you can tell hes trying to imitate Gordon
Too bad you can’t afford an indoor kitchen.
avalon449 it looks so beautiful there why would you want to cook indoors. Just wear some extra layers.
oh geez, not him again lol
Henrik Gostomski ?
