It's a piece of brass. Brass is an alloy of mainly copper and zinc with other metals sometimes to change it's properties. Most machined brass contains about 1-2 % lead to make it more machinable. It is not toxic unless you plan to grind it into a powder and eat it. If you could swallow the ring and let it go through your digestive system it would not hurt you. You would not get enough lead to hurt you. Sell it with some brass scrap at the scrap yard. It is not toxic to anyone.

I just don’t want you to make the same mistake and it’s only a matter of time if you continue to buy high dollar stuff that has a counterfeit market/ cutting process where a purity percentage can be manipulated and the buyer can be deceived if the seller decides to try to get over on you. theirs a saying that goes like this. Be careful of those who give their love away too easy they’ll take it away just the same. Same goes for trust. That is all I’ll say learn from my mistake don’t go all in on the trust preflop. It’s a recipe for disaster in the market you’re speaking about shopping in

Thanks for this video brother. While I’ve been buying/wearing and selling gold and diamonds for years, it’s important to help the next generation. I was getting on to the freeway and a guy at the side of the road waved me down. He had a foreign accent that I did not recognize and he said his car broke down and that he needed money. He took off a ring that looks just like the one you have there and put it in my hand. He wanted me to take him to the ATM and get a couple hundred bucks for him. All I had in my wallet was $40 and I believed the guy, but I refused to take him to my ATM to get money. I gave him the $40 and did not want to take the ring, which he said was worth over a $1000. He left the ring anyway and ran back to his car. My wife never believed it was real gold. I threw it in a drawer and forgot about it until tonight. Then I checked the internet and found your video! Good job! I am now convinced it is a fake!

"It kind of looked real when I saw it" by a gold enthusiast. The fake and/or plated stuff is getting good that its harjustify investing in real anymore when I can buy a lot more options for the money. At least, for me. I recently saw a link set in a display that popped out at me in a very fine and surreal way like no other gold jewlery has before, real or fake. This electro plating process is getting very fine. And no there is no lead I the chain, its 18K electro plated gold on brass. It looks incredible.
You nailed it! Fortunately for me, my wife has same ideas as me when it comes to jewelry. Fake/man made diamonds are just fine and sometimes better because you can buy something pretty darn close and bigger for a fraction of the price. Besides, how many ppl gonna grab a loupe and check it out? If it's got nice flash who cares? Now, a REASONABLE wedding ring may be something else. My wife wouldn't trader her .3 carat ring (we married at 21 & 19, 33 years ago) for anything due to sentimentality. She's a keeper.
Those fake rings with the same design are floating around the country. A little more than a year ago I bought one at a gas station for $40 and threw it out of my window after it turned my pinky green. Had the stamp on it and all. Needless to say I no longer buy gold off the streets it only took one time for me.
They sold me a fake gold and I figured out after 10years today it's pain full I'm taking it back to the same store I bought it from 10 years a go and hoppeing to See the same sealer behind the counter to nock his teeth out off his mouth .
Their was a Arabic guy running around my city for a while with his family in a van at gas stations pretending like he was out of gas or needed to feed his family selling these same rings .. he got me because I seen his kids and felt bad did the burn test on them to but when tested they were fake smh ... can’t trust nobody even if they are asking for help with their kids 🤦♂️

I think you bring up a very overlooked point when it comes to buying any kind of jewlery. You definately want to make sure you're getting the real thing. But most importantly, you want to make sure it's not health hazardous. The scary thing is there's no way to know until after the sale and getting it tested. I'm from Montreal, Quebec Canada, but generally, where can one take their jewlery to get tested for it's metallic content? This video kind bursted my bubble and scared the hell out of me.
The only real way to know if it's actually real gold is to send it to the lab. It takes time, but if the seller is legit, he will be willing to do it. If not, give him the middle finger and move on to the next seller.
Hey @TraxNYC I have a question about a 14k 3mm hollow rope. It was passed down to me from my grandfather. And he had it for a long time... now I have it n I left it in a chest for about 6 yrs in one of our dairy barns. Well I finally went n got my chests out of the barn which have tons of Gold n silver that iv stacked. I got mainly 100 gram gold bars and 10oz gold bars and 1oz bars and the 2.5 and 5 gram bars iv had em for yrs and silver I have over 60,000 oz of silver and most of it came from my g g g g grandfather we actually own some old western mines out in Arizona and Nevada and California and Texas silver n gold. And all of em are abandoned now and was used from the 1800s to early 1900s and he was one of the guys that sold the government and sold the new Orleans mint San Francisco mint and Carson city silver. And in 1895 silver was banned and the Government started melting our silver bars and dollars ect. To sale to France I do believe. And my gggg grandfather decided it wasn't happening so he brought all that silver which is in 1,000 oz bars and 973 oz ect some are odd weights and 100 oz ect. And he brought over 900 US Silver morgan dollars from 1895 to 1878 carson city and new Orleans Morgan's and I still have many of them in the rolls and some are in old bags and crates. And these where actually buried on our dairy farm and I finally found em I dunno if it's all of em or not but iv found 900 Morgan's so far..... so who knows and the bars ect where held in a underground stone n brick cellar that was dug into the side of mountain on our farm. My grandfather pulled it out back in the 80s and it's sat for yrs until it was passed to me. And his gold rope... and I noticed the rope had some dark almost like tarnish on the ends of it... but it Clearly says 14k on it and it's not real heavy or anything. It's 3.5 mm I believe it's kinda big for a gold rope. And I didn't know gold jewelry could tarnish.. but come to find out some 10k 14k and 9k can because of the alloy metals it was created with.... but I was wondering how do I clean it?? I thought maybe it could be fake so I pulled a thin metal ring out of the rope and it was gold all the way through... so I know it's real the acid says it's real the metal detector gives a gold tone .. but that black tarnish on the ends is bugging me... so I don't wear it at all..

It is not toxic unless you plan to grind it into a powder and eat it. If you could swallow the ring and let it go through your digestive system it would not hurt you. You would not get enough lead to hurt you. Sell it with some brass scrap at the scrap yard. It is not toxic to anyone.

Making profitable trades isnt as hard as you think, I took the right steps as a beginner by investing with a reliable brokerge where all my trades are being handled by financial expert.
Crypto investment has really changed my financially status positively, I got my first house the year I started investing and today network is over £1.2m😊
"When you mix copper and zinc you get a yellowish metal."
It's called brass.
XD
my favorite part was the actinium... it is highly radioactive
@@DrippyNews I would interpret the results like this: Cu and Zn are actually there by design. Anything else is probably a contaminant or a misidentified element. Those concentrations were so low that I wouldn't pay much attention to them.
he's no chemist, just a salesman
He’s not exactly a physicist 😉😆😆..
I like this dude people say they don't like the way he comes across but he always gives it to you uncut no chaser
He said “I’m not a physicist” you mean chemist 😂😂
Brandy Porter Brandy Porter lol what are you smoking dude😂. My major is chemistry I’m pretty sure I know what I’m talking about. Physics has to do with the motion of particles...
FYI the process he used to figure out what the gold was composed of is called “spectrometry” which is done by chemists in lab settings....
Brandy Porter damn bruh, he tryin to help you out and give you some knowledge. While also proving your point for you but you call him a perv 😂
Exactly his point tho....gotta love TraxNYC for keeping it real!
Well, it's true. He really isn't a physicist.
3:55 I cant. 🤣
Bro you a re a solid cat, one of the most unintentionally funny folks on RUclips.
Thanks for posting these for us
I am about to order my girl an engagement ring from yall.
Cool video, dude. Enjoy watching them. All the way from the UK. Cheers
Im wondering what an acid test would reveal on that ring? Since there is no gold at all, what would the acid reveal on the scratch line. Thanks for sharing.
You have inspired me to start a career in gold like you. I love your videos. I was never interested until I started seeing you. And now I’m a new subscriber and realized I love your hustle and I’m starting one. Thanks for the good work. Keep up the posts man
Hopefully your already rich because it's a hustle that requires at least a million dollars to start up with .
Brother you’re such a great guy I really appreciate you taking your time out of your busy life to talk to us and you’re the only person that I will ever trust when buying jewelry! Much love brother keep up the good work:)
If I offend you I don’t care I’m gonna say it anyways here is a little advice bro bro this man is not someone you blindly trust as much as your simping for him because he clearly has the knowledge to really fuckin get off on you and chances are you won’t ever know and your blind faith should be only with someone who doesn’t know about it as much as you do and you can feel the situation out and discern that this person is being completely genuine but even at that end they wouldn’t even know how to mix metals in a way that passes the magnet test and tester kit etc basically just always remember and I’m sure the guy would say the same because I’m sure he’s been fucked over plenty of times and I’m not saying he fucks people over I’m only saying he knows how to and how to do it and not get caught and I know nothing about him or you I only saw your message and you look like a baby young cub and your words showcase to the bad people of the world this guys too trusting aka my next fuckin target and you’ll get taken and it fucking sucks man I know from experience. I lost 5,000$ when I was robbed from a guy I saw walking and told him he could catch a ride and stopped through a gas station for a drink and it was just a fucking second and I didn’t think wasn’t thinking/ am too trusting too and had it taken from my spot because he saw it I thought he didn’t and I just fucked up putting my self in a compromised position and then ended up eating the loss but it’s a lesson learned.
It’s a recipe for disaster in the market you’re speaking about shopping in
he makes money on these videos
Thank you for taking the time to make these types of videos.

You been on your shit bro. thats rare. thats king. Alot of jewelers burn out their own name. Yours has been going up since you stepped on the scene. STAY BLESSED BROTHA!
Actinium is radioactive it is about 150 times more reactive than radium
Love your videos man! If I'm ever in NYC and have some loot I'm coming through to see you!
Great tips, especially the part about the gold. Seriouzly doe, the part when you called the lead poison is one o' those "oh heck yeah" moments because many people, myself included, would not realize fake jewelry can be toxic. Third vid I've watched on this shiz and you're the first to bring up this crucial point. Many mucho thankies guy.
i would never attempt an acid test on my fly. ow.
You’ve earned my respect Trax, you give out FREE INFORMATION not many do that nowadays. 👍🏽🔥
You are a true educator, giving back to your community by teaching them the reality you were taught. We are all learning from you and that's what I call the RIPPLE EFFECT!
Thank God I find my Gold in the Ground and Refine it since we got lots in the hills here, I can make sure what purity it is. I make jewelry on the side just learning and I really appreciate all the stuff you say and inform us of what’s going on in the jewelry business my hat is off to you.
Lucky guy 😉
That sounds like a fun hobby, and I guess you can custom make your own pieces, so that's just about perfect 👍
Hello Dutchman.
I also sell gold in East Africa just in case u can buyer from me.
Good video bro explaining all the metals on that fake ring 👍
I like this guy,he know everything about jewelry,no doubt..!
I used to think bad about this guy but now I see this guy speaks only the truth
Your videos are insightful, and valuable.. Keep doin your thing my guy 👌👌.. New Subscriber
Max , I just sent some stuff out to get tested just as you, and I was told would cost me 35 dollars. Is that about right price for the test?
Guy in LA asking people for $1k saying he lost wallet. Giving chain and ring for exchange but it was that extact ring
Probably same guy i ran into at target with the same story and jewelry, except he had a wife n kids with him. He claimed he wasn't from around town. Ran into him in SD though.
Yeah in pa white suv family and kids same ring and a necklace got me for $600 ruined my vacation my girl and I fought to the point where we broke up ended up coming home and on the ride home somebody hit my rental car , I lost over $5,000 that weekend between all the events following my kind gesture helping this scammer out and paying him good to make sure his “kids” could eat and he could get home safe with plenty of money in exchange for fake gold . If it’s too good to be true chances are it is I should have listened to my gut
I'm fucking laughing so aloud.. the world is full of frickin scammers..😂😂
Thanks for this great knowledge.. and you give it for free, respect.
You are wise my guy, I'm learning more with every video you put up, it's interesting to hear directly about gold from a professional, top work! 👊👊💯
I saw when you uploaded this on Instagram. Keep educating and inspiring others on how to make smart investments. 👍🏼👊🏼👊🏼🇹🇹
Great work big brother, stay well.❤
Thanks for this video brother. While I’ve been buying/wearing and selling gold and diamonds for years, it’s important to help the next generation. It blows me away how the price of gold won’t change but the price of the same items, made of gold, does. I can see some fluctuations due to alloy prices etc. but even that is minimal at best. Due to hip hop popularizing gold, the scammers are EVERYWHERE!
So again, thank you sir. Many of your competitors would undoubtedly prefer you weren’t so open and honest.
Salute!
Shut up
I love the fact the he teaches 🤩 people about gold an diamonds.thats a man who teaches men how to fish then feeding someone a fish
I respect your honesty man there's a lot of haters but keep it real
THIS HELPS CONSUMERS A LOT
For sure. I will never be eating fake gold ever again after this trick!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge to help us become better/smarter consumers.
Yes thanks much for this🙏
Actinium (Ac) is a radioactive element. Every element from Atomic Number 83 through 103 is radioactive. The Lead (Pb) may have been added to counterbalance the radioactivity.
I called this morning and left message. I want to have two custom rings made. No one has called me back. Part of message was that I would be available after 10 AM CST. I have been enjoying your videos but now having second thoughts about doing business. Thank you
Excellent video, I loved how you highlighted all of the different alloys that could be in our gold and what to look out for especially with lead!!! Thank you!!!👍👍👍☺️☺️☺️💗💜💙💚💛💝
Different alloys?
Copper Tungsten and Lead
this videos proves that not only the best of the best jewelers cant identify fake jewelry by just looking at it but it also proves that fake jewelry can look like real jewelry so with that being said... im gonna continue to wear my stainless steel jewelry without thinking people will realize it isnt real silver lol
Thank you for being the only jewler to educate the masses. Im seeing this video in lewiston idaho.
I'm pretty sure my step-dad just got scammed by this exact ring, I wish you showed a clearer view of what the top looked like.
I thank you for the awesome information sir. I am a small claim owner in Arizona and I dig dirt. I have been fairly lucky with all of the hard work that I have had to put in but I find a reasonable amount of gold too. That being said I appreciate how you emphasize the worth of gold because it is not easy to find and extract from the ground. ⛏️😎👍
I appreciate these kind of videos from you Sir! Very informative, Thank You.
In terms of toxicity, you should actually probably be a lot more worried about the actinium than the lead. It's actually radioactive. Even at less than half a percent, that's still pretty alarming.
hi i would love to work for you and learn from you. I live in Iceland but I would take the next plane if I had the chance to work and learn from you, I like how you are honest and fearless and you tell people that they don't have to whisper haha I like it.
In Europe we look it and take it to the hand , looks and feels different, usually lighter, color is total off too. Ususally has also a "good price"
Glad I subd bro. Keep the videos coming!!!! Love seeing that shiny stuff
Fire content as always... much respect!
Trax is a real 1. The jeweler for the people.
This is very educational. Keep up the good work.👍
I do metal detecting a lot and I find tons of gold and diamonds. I can tell you 100% if it’s real gold by running my detector over it. The machine differentiates the metals by sound. Gold is a smooth sound. Other metals are obvious in their tones.
this man is holding straight tungsten and doesn’t even know 🤣
Appreciate your expertise. Well done.

I bought some FAKE gold bars when I was 19 and this lesson costed me 20000 USD. GREAT VIDEO!
Wtf 😬
Literally scary AF
THIS is why I buy gold from Trax
Thanks for sharing this very valuable information so people can have their gold tested the right way.
Together with polonium, radium, and radon, actinium was one of the first non-primordial radioactive elements to be isolated.
Love the vids mate, very educational, thanks for taking the time to do these!
Very informative!!I’ve been into jewellery and antiques for years and it never even occurred to me that people make fake gold!!x
I was able the tell right away that it was fake. I can spot anything fake, hollow, dipped or whatever it is.
What you want a cookie 😂
Teezy Frm305 no you’re mom I want her
😂😂😂😂
Not gonna lie I really appreciate jewelers such as yourself. When it comes to the jewerly buisness there as so many greedy dirty unhonest snakes in it that are always trynna get one over on someone. Especially if they sense you don't know jack about precious metals or gems. Long long time ago I got fkd over once by what seemed to me like a legit jeweler at the time. I'll never make that mistake again and never have. And with the way you conduct yourself and stand behind your buisness and products as well as put us up on game. I know I'd never have to worry at all ordering something from you. And once I'm a bit more financially stable I will be. Keep it up bro 👍 wish you and your buisness nothing but success! Stay blessed.
some new-age alchemy going on with that ring ...
Great video, thank you!
Best regards,
TGV
Rodents are mammals of the order Rodentia, which are characterized by a single pair of continuously growing incisors in each of the upper and lower jaws.
Just started watching you. Your vids are super informative. If and when I get to NYC, I will definitely stop by. Grant
Great point
You nailed it! Fortunately for me, my wife has same ideas as me when it comes to jewelry. Fake/man made diamonds are just fine and sometimes better because you can buy something pretty darn close and bigger for a fraction of the price. Besides, how many ppl gonna grab a loupe and check it out? If it's got nice flash who cares? Now, a REASONABLE wedding ring may be something else. My wife wouldn't trader her .3 carat ring (we married at 21 & 19, 33 years ago) for anything due to sentimentality. She's a keeper.
im not rich or in to jewlery but this is very interesting🍄
Those fake rings with the same design are floating around the country. A little more than a year ago I bought one at a gas station for $40 and threw it out of my window after it turned my pinky green. Had the stamp on it and all. Needless to say I no longer buy gold off the streets it only took one time for me.
You thought u were buying real gold at a gas station for $40? 🤦♂️
@@yungcee321 yeah, smokers always have something for sale. At least in that neighborhood.
Great video. What are some of the best exchanges you can buy gold from?
Actinium is a silvery radioactive metallic element. It glows blue in the dark due to its intense radioactivity
Love all the videos from Mustang Oklahoma!!!
They sold me a fake gold and I figured out after 10years today it's pain full I'm taking it back to the same store I bought it from 10 years a go and hoppeing to See the same sealer behind the counter to nock his teeth out off his mouth .
Thank you for teaching us on your losses
Their was a Arabic guy running around my city for a while with his family in a van at gas stations pretending like he was out of gas or needed to feed his family selling these same rings .. he got me because I seen his kids and felt bad did the burn test on them to but when tested they were fake smh ... can’t trust nobody even if they are asking for help with their kids 🤦♂️
101 STAMP me to bro wtf same thing happen to me
I bought it cuz I felt bad I knew it was fake
Yea sucks tho but I’m a lot more careful now 😂😂
Same shit happen in cali too.
Them aint arabs them gypsies
Ty for you honesty kudos adore your channel ❤️
Sooo send it in to a lab for analysis is the best way. Gotcha
Great job on your information it's truthful and factual for Everyone to see, God Bless Your Success 🙏😇🙏
I love the content of your channel. I've learned SO much from watching your videos. This is what video content should be like. - Educational, informative and entertaining. Thank you TRAXNYC
Actinium is actually only found in uranium ores so that’s a toxic ring indeed
This is a real mentor!
If I look it up right actidium is radioactive
I been played...I just got a ring and was wondering about it and now I see this video and it look just the same🤦🏾♂️
I am really thrilled by your analysis, its only God that can help some of us that doesn't have the correct equipment to test Gold,I wish to learn from you more sir, from sierra leone west Africa
Oh my God I am asking myself now are my jewelries real gold? 😱
Probably not you need to get it acid tested I for one now know that just because it looks real doesn't mean it is you have to use science to verify things now a days
@@galacticdriver5953 I took it to a Gold buyer/seller and he said it correct just like they sold it to me in the jewelry store so I suggest it is real
@@Wrestlelesson I had gold jewelry that was stamped 14k wasn't magnetic and I cut into it to it didn't appear electro plate but when I had it acid tested the different strengths of acid all dissolved it meaning that it wasn't gold or silver so feeling like a fool dooped by fools gold I dropped it in the trash when I got home so you tell me did I f#$k up
Thanks for the info, I went to buy a silver chain from some add on FB, when I got there after an half hour drive, it was fake! It failed the magnet test as soon as I picked it up, the guy looked gutted and shot off in a flash, I wish I recorded it! 😂 ‘Always take a magnet silver!’👍
Love ya man good info if I buy a bunch of gold you will be the man I see
The only real way to know if it's actually real gold is to send it to the lab.
