I have heard about tungsten being used in commercial bars for years. Based on what you said I assume there is no way to find out if there is tungsten inside other than drilling the bar.
Is that correct. Subscribed and liked. Very helpful video.

But, he never really tells you how to "spot" fake gold. Sure, he mentions acid test, lab test, and weight. However, who has an acid test kit at the ready, or is going to wait for lab results? The weight (which really should be explained as density) is a good indicator; except that (as he explains) Tungsten is way to close to rely on it, solely. So, again, how do we spot fake gold?

I'm sure his family may have had some involvement in getting his business off the ground or if it already was they most likely helped him & his business make a name for themselves & put them on the map. Iv never been but I imagine NYC is quite competitive especially in a place like the gold/diamond district where you can literally walk down the street corner to corner & pass by jeweler after jeweler comparing prices and quality. This man is an OG and I love his mission & everything he stands for. No shady shit w this dude. He truly still does not get even close to the recognition he deserves.

A middle eastern man approached me while i was sitting in my truck waiting for my daughter to get off work, and said he and his wife were traveling and had run out of gas and showed me this same ring and asked me if i would buy it for $50. The ring looked like it was hand casted kind of rough on the edges. I told him I didn't have $50 , that all i had was a 20. so after him dropping his price 3 times sold it for $20. I figured if it turns out to be fake I'm not out too much money. so searching youtube for how to tell real from fake gold rings , I picked your video and low and behold you made this video on the same ring , I live in Iowa so there must be a whole bunch of these rings floating around the states! thank you for making this video

I mean I've been to jewelry shops but mostly all of them are charging rape even for "hollow" gold. But I've been to some bizzars around my area and I've seen Cubans and curbs big joints for less than a grand and heavy ones for less than 3 grand. The same style Cuban and curb but the jewelry stores would charge double. For example there was a Cuban I was looking at it was 24 inches and I think like 4mm a small joint didn't feel heavy and it was at a store. It's a piece of brass. Brass is an alloy of mainly copper and zinc with other metals sometimes to change it's properties. Most machined brass contains about 1-2 % lead to make it more machinable. It is not toxic unless you plan to grind it into a powder and eat it. If you could swallow the ring and let it go through your digestive system it would not hurt you. You would not get enough lead to hurt you. Sell it with some brass scrap at the scrap yard. It is not toxic to anyone.

If I offend you I don’t care I’m gonna say it anyways here is a little advice bro bro this man is not someone you blindly trust as much as your simping for him because he clearly has the knowledge to really fuckin get off on you and chances are you won’t ever know and your blind faith should be only with someone who doesn’t know about it as much as you do and you can feel the situation out and discern that this person is being completely genuine but even at that end they wouldn’t even know how to mix metals in a way that passes the magnet test and tester kit etc basically just always remember and I’m sure the guy would say the same because I’m sure he’s been fucked over plenty of times and I’m not saying he fucks people over I’m only saying he knows how to and how to do it and not get caught and I know nothing about him or you I only saw your message and you look like a baby young cub and your words showcase to the bad people of the world this guys too trusting aka my next fuckin target and you’ll get taken and it fucking sucks man I know from experience. I lost 5,000$ when I was robbed from a guy I saw walking and told him he could catch a ride and stopped through a gas station for a drink and it was just a fucking second and I didn’t think wasn’t thinking/ am too trusting too and had it taken from my spot because he saw it I thought he didn’t and I just fucked up putting my self in a compromised position and then ended up eating the loss but it’s a lesson learned. I just don’t want you to make the same mistake and it’s only a matter of time if you continue to buy high dollar stuff that has a counterfeit market/ cutting process where a purity percentage can be manipulated and the buyer can be deceived if the seller decides to try to get over on you.
theirs a saying that goes like this.
Be careful of those who give their love away too easy they’ll take it away just the same. Same goes for trust. That is all I’ll say learn from my mistake don’t go all in on the trust preflop. It’s a recipe for disaster in the market you’re speaking about shopping in

Yeah in pa white suv family and kids same ring and a necklace got me for $600 ruined my vacation my girl and I fought to the point where we broke up ended up coming home and on the ride home somebody hit my rental car , I lost over $5,000 that weekend between all the events following my kind gesture helping this scammer out and paying him good to make sure his “kids” could eat and he could get home safe with plenty of money in exchange for fake gold . If it’s too good to be true chances are it is I should have listened to my gut

Thanks for this video brother. While I’ve been buying/wearing and selling gold and diamonds for years, it’s important to help the next generation. It blows me away how the price of gold won’t change but the price of the same items, made of gold, does. I can see some fluctuations due to alloy prices etc. but even that is minimal at best. Due to hip hop popularizing gold, the scammers are EVERYWHERE!
So again, thank you sir. Many of your competitors would undoubtedly prefer you weren’t so open and honest.

When it comes to the jewerly buisness there as so many greedy dirty unhonest snakes in it that are always trynna get one over on someone. Especially if they sense you don't know jack about precious metals or gems. Long long time ago I got fkd over once by what seemed to me like a legit jeweler at the time. I'll never make that mistake again and never have. And with the way you conduct yourself and stand behind your buisness and products as well as put us up on game. I know I'd never have to worry at all ordering something from you. And once I'm a bit more financially stable I will be. Keep it up bro 👍 wish you and your buisness nothing but success! I was getting on to the freeway and a guy at the side of the road waved me down. He had a foreign accent that I did not recognize and he said his car broke down and that he needed money. He took off a ring that looks just like the one you have there and put it in my hand. He wanted me to take him to the ATM and get a couple hundred bucks for him. All I had in my wallet was $40 and I believed the guy, but I refused to take him to my ATM to get money. I gave him the $40 and did not want to take the ring, which he said was worth over a $1000. He left the ring anyway and ran back to his car. My wife never believed it was real gold. I threw it in a drawer and forgot about it until tonight. Then I checked the internet and found your video! Good job! I am now convinced it is a fake!

"It kind of looked real when I saw it" by a gold enthusiast.
The fake and/or plated stuff is getting good that its harjustify investing in real anymore when I can buy a lot more options for the money. At least, for me.
I recently saw a link set in a display that popped out at me in a very fine and surreal way like no other gold jewlery has before, real or fake. This electro plating process is getting very fine.
And no there is no lead I the chain, its 18K electro plated gold on brass. It looks incredible.

You nailed it! Fortunately for me, my wife has same ideas as me when it comes to jewelry. Fake/man made diamonds are just fine and sometimes better because you can buy something pretty darn close and bigger for a fraction of the price. Besides, how many ppl gonna grab a loupe and check it out? If it's got nice flash who cares? Now, a REASONABLE wedding ring may be something else. My wife wouldn't trader her .3 carat ring (we married at 21 & 19, 33 years ago) for anything due to sentimentality. She's a keeper.

I think you bring up a very overlooked point when it comes to buying any kind of jewlery. You definately want to make sure you're getting the real thing.
But most importantly, you want to make sure it's not health hazardous. The scary thing is there's no way to know until after the sale and getting it tested.
I'm from Montreal, Quebec Canada, but generally, where can one take their jewlery to get tested for it's metallic content? This video kind bursted my bubble and scared the hell out of me.

Hey @TraxNYC I have a question about a 14k 3mm hollow rope. It was passed down to me from my grandfather. And he had it for a long time... now I have it n I left it in a chest for about 6 yrs in one of our dairy barns. Well I finally went n got my chests out of the barn which have tons of Gold n silver that iv stacked. I got mainly 100 gram gold bars and 10oz gold bars and 1oz bars and the 2.5 and 5 gram bars iv had em for yrs and silver I have over 60,000 oz of silver and most of it came from my g g g g grandfather we actually own some old western mines out in Arizona and Nevada and California and Texas silver n gold. And all of em are abandoned now and was used from the 1800s to early 1900s and he was one of the guys that sold the government and sold the new Orleans mint San Francisco mint and Carson city silver. And in 1895 silver was banned and the Government started melting our silver bars and dollars ect. To sale to France I do believe. And my gggg grandfather decided it wasn't happening so he brought all that silver which is in 1,000 oz bars and 973 oz ect some are odd weights and 100 oz ect. And he brought over 900 US Silver morgan dollars from 1895 to 1878 carson city and new Orleans Morgan's and I still have many of them in the rolls and some are in old bags and crates. And these where actually buried on our dairy farm and I finally found em I dunno if it's all of em or not but iv found 900 Morgan's so far..... so who knows and the bars ect where held in a underground stone n brick cellar that was dug into the side of mountain on our farm. My grandfather pulled it out back in the 80s and it's sat for yrs until it was passed to me. And his gold rope... and I noticed the rope had some dark almost like tarnish on the ends of it... but it Clearly says 14k on it and it's not real heavy or anything. It's 3.5 mm I believe it's kinda big for a gold rope. And I didn't know gold jewelry could tarnish.. but come to find out some 10k 14k and 9k can because of the alloy metals it was created with.... but I was wondering how do I clean it?? I thought maybe it could be fake so I pulled a thin metal ring out of the rope and it was gold all the way through... so I know it's real the acid says it's real the metal detector gives a gold tone .. but that black tarnish on the ends is bugging me... so I don't wear it at all..
