Great video. This is exactly what I was looking for. Looking to get a 30x50 with a 10ft partition for a shop and the rest a home gym someday in the future. Thanks, really help put the space in my head into perspective.
Love the garage setup I my self have a 32x48 shop with 10’ ceiling did u raise ur ceiling ur self or was that already like that I have a 2 post installed but poke threw the ceiling and I have a drive on hoist id like to install one day. Love that garage setup
IMO you have removed most of the load bearing wall for doors, put your doors on the gable end's the building will last much longer this way and give you a drive in drive out path also for most garage things a 12-16' door is ideal for boat trailers and like also makes it possible to get in way easier with larger things. having 4 doors really limits where you can park in the shop i would have done 1 16' and 1-12' and a man door looks good tho cheers
Interesting thought - didn't have the room for garage doors on the gable ends. To your first and most important comment, those walls were most certainly NOT load bearing. In fact, those walls weren't even touching the engineer trusses when I removed them. Those trusses were designed to span the entire 30' and I had that checked with a professional before removing anything. THanks!!
