Youare correct sir: Home Depot markets to folks starting a building project, Lowes is geared more to projects that need to be finished all purty. Happy to see you maing this leap. We all got great expectations!
I'm fortunate enough to have Menards locally. I've been in both Lowe's and Home Depot out of curiosity, but I don't have time to waste. 95% of the time I just go to Menards.
Without scrapping the turf off and (by what I could see) no rebar in the concrete, I really think you're going to have issues with that slab. I also really hope I'm wrong. I love the channel. Keep up the great work!
Man I can tell you building a garage after you’ve dreamed of one for a long time is one hell of a feeling. I built a 26x24 a few years back after wanting one for years. I would sometimes just kick back with a beer out there and be like damn we made it.🤘🏻
Level up ⬆️ imagine waking up for the first time and seeing it when it’s finished man imagine the first beer in it imagine opening the shop door and hearing chomper chomping 🤣🤣 good stuff brotha
All the building pads I've ever done I've always stripped the grass and topsoil then used good red clay to build the pad up then put the rock on top for the concrete but congrats on the shop build bro!
@dirtysouthlogging I’m So sorry for your loss brother, I lost my father when I was 25 so I completely understand, and your so right I wish I woulda spent more time with my pops before he passed.
Major props to you chase on your ideas for the shop and for the start of making it happen. Can't wait to see the shop finished and vehicles parked inside. Chomper is going to be wildin out with those revs in the shop. I can hear him now. Sending prayers and good vibes to your family and dad. Hope everything goes well with him and his recovery. Ive been a supporter for a long long time now and I aint going no where. Your videos, honestly, creativity and beautiful family help me so much each and every day. Mad love to you and all you do. Keep up the amazing work.
I don't have friends neither. Just focus on that family and making that money. You will never go wrong with that...good luck on the shop, cant wait to see it.
I really hope your father is prospering. Any lifts and mezzanine supports are going to need proper engineered footings. Plan ahead contingency for needing to do that under slab expanding foam leveling system someday. Godspeed.
Thoughts and prayers and glad your dad is doing well!! So happy and glad for you and how much this channel has grown and far you’ve come!! Keep up the incredible work and can’t wait to see the rest of this build plus everything you have in store for you and us!! 🤙
Congratulations on the progress. Looks good. Amazing to have gotten over that first step hurdle. Hope its smooth sailing, but we know life happens. I'm wanting a garage built now. I'll be paying close attention. Best wishes to your dad. And a speedy recovery. Awesome.
Hope it all goes well , the thing I would have added is rebar in a crosshatch pattern , maybe you were not aware . it really helps with preventing cracks in concrete , as the earth will settle underneath in time
At 18, as a almost Grown Man, I can confirm, a shop is deff the end goal after all the grinding, CONGRATS BRO, love the vids, I loves the stickers/hats/merch 👍🏽
I’ve worked for Home Depot , yes it’s by far the best option for any home improvement projects. Secondly, my well wishes/ prayers for your dad and a quick recovery. Thirdly, congratulations 🥃on the 1st step of the shop build. Super excited to see what you’ve brewed up in tour head for your vision of the shop.
Thank you for showing this with the pricing. I'm only about an hour away from you so I can use these numbers to estimate mine. I got quotes of $20k for the slab, but I am shooting for a 30x84, so those seem about right. Mine may still be on the high side. I thought they were crazy telling me that with a straight face, but maybe that is just how it is. I'll check back to see how the rest goes.
Dude…too cool. Good for you man that’s every man’s dream. So cool to have seen your channel grow and continue to improve and expand. Happy for you brother!
Not sure where youre at with your budget and build, but i would highly recommend an insulated and finished ceiling right away. Also, you can never have too much shelving.
Been watching for a quite a while man loves the vids. I’m curious on why they didint strip top soil to get to the hard clay and then start the pole barn pad on that? Hopefully they did some test holes to make sure the ground is stable enough so you won’t have any settling issues that could cause cracks in concrete foundation, drainage issues etc. just throwing that out there so you don’t get screwed!
I live in Massachusetts and my building is 26x30'. My local building code requires a 4' frost wall and I paid $15,000for the concrete and site work. My concrete guy removed the top soil and used compactor and metal before pouring the concrete. So far no cracks 🤞. Good luck with the build!
I’ve don’t plenty of the little yard drains I used to put those in and big storm water drains and pipes for city of Fernandina it’s some hard work on those big projects
It's crazy that they didn't remove the top 6 inches of soil first then spread rock. That organic matter will break down over time and leave voids. It might end up okay but they didn't do it right.
I live in Louisiana, I would have done my concrete the exact same way but, my county ( parish ) wouldn't let me put down a slab without footings and rebar...I did a 24x40 building
Don't want to bring race into anything but I live in SC and recently had a building like this built in my yard and if you're ever looking for good prices on someone building it for you, look for a Mexican owned company. They got mine up in a day, came early in the morning, left that evening and everything's perfect as far as we can tell for a great price.
Where did you get that shadow grass blades camo headliner?!?! Big waterfowler. I got custom sears in my 6.0 along with a couple other things done with that camo type but that headliner would make it looked sweet!
Youare correct sir: Home Depot markets to folks starting a building project, Lowes is geared more to projects that need to be finished all purty. Happy to see you maing this leap. We all got great expectations!

Excited for you, dont be afraid to upload some longer videos on the progress!
I agree we would love the longer videos!

Love it man! Prayers up for your dad! Keep working hard and taking care of that beautiful family. All of the rest falls into place!
I’m so pumped for you Chase! This is gonna be a game changer for truck content and life in general.
All the building pads I've ever done I've always stripped the grass and topsoil then used good red clay to build the pad up then put the rock on top for the concrete but congrats on the shop build bro!
Same here.
Spend all the time you can with your pops I lost mine when I was 24 lot of regret

i built a 40x60, had 3.5 foot off, was fun... love your shop, hell any shop is better than no shop
Hope it all goes well , the thing I would have added is rebar in a crosshatch pattern , maybe you were not aware . it really helps with preventing cracks in concrete , as the earth will settle underneath in time

Yo! lol. wild to see you here! New boat shop?
Congrats on your shop 🎉🎉 I’m big supporter of your channel ❤❤❤
I appreciate it!!!
Make sure that slab is cut properly to prevent cracking. It’s going to crack regardless but it should definitely be cut
Looks great! I respect how open and honest you are
LET'S GO! Build that shop brother 🤙🏽
Can't wait to watch the rest of this series. No clue what a good price is. I did a 34x22 slab over 20 years ago, but we did that ourselves.
Congrats man, I am proud of you!! I love that you are transparent and are a normal dude operating on a budget.
Been watching for a very long time. What a cool accomplishment to get your own shop! Taking content to the next level.
Congratulations Chase, speaking as a Dad, do as much for cash as possible . You will be glad you did.
Not sure if they added wire mesh but besides that, I can’t wait to see the shop. Definitely more content and that makes me happy!
1:51 once you got the formwork done. Thats the sentence you were looking for 🤙🏽
Congrats!!!! The pad looks awesome and I’m excited to see it when it’s done!! I hope it holds up and is a good shop for you dude
So you had a skid steer but didn’t take the time to remove the organic layer? Hopefully it holds up
Honestly love that you put the price breakdown in the video! Gives me a good idea on how much my shop will cost me
just don't forget the 2 monsters

My grandpa has had a pacemaker for as long as I can remember, and he’s doing great!
Congratulations man that is the dream
My RUclips boys LMF and Lonestar are building dream shops. Love it!!!!
I don’t think you’re supposed to put the stone over topsoil
Keepem coming!
WOW Big mistake not removing the top soil before prepping for the concrete.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wish i lived closer. i’d love to help build it but im in arkansas. proud of you though man.
Its always a good day when you post
It's crazy that they didn't remove the top 6 inches of soil first then spread rock. That organic matter will break down over time and leave voids. It might end up okay but they didn't do it right.
I wish i could help you man! I'm up here in snow mexico land Canada though! Can't wait to see what the shop is going to look like
I’m excited to see how the shop turns out been watching you for years and happy to see you keep growing brotha
I live in Louisiana, I would have done my concrete the exact same way but, my county ( parish ) wouldn't let me put down a slab without footings and rebar...I did a 24x40 building
Hell yea looks good man but you didnt need to use rebar for the concrete??
the tire getting stolen was so real and hilarious, it happens brotha but it was funny

That’s slab should have some relief cuts put in so it won’t crack
A man building a warehouse/shop is equivalent to your 1st born go with throttle up Chase.👍

Where did you get that shadow grass blades camo headliner?!?! Big waterfowler. I got custom sears in my 6.0 along with a couple other things done with that camo type but that headliner would make it looked sweet!
