Hey Valgear, love your videos! Have you seen or used by anu chance the spanish hand grenade ALHAMBRA D/O (M2)??? Any opinion on that particular grenade? Its an electronic one that supposedly generates its own charge when you let it go and it can easlity be changed from defensive to ofensive by puting a fragment sleeve over it
very interesting video and channel, subbed! so this is basically white phosphorous? weird to see this in a hand grenade, one would think that risk of troops harming themselves would be too big, but maybe the toxic effects of wp and phosphorous pentoxide (the smoke) are a little bit over exaggerated in the mass media? hope there will be lot more videos like this! field testing of exotic military hardware from former eastern block, this is pretty unique on youtube so far. stay safe!
I remember watching your video on the RDG2b, this definately looks better than fucking around with having to wrap your smokes in plastic bags and keep spare lighers for when it wont ignite. Random question-in an old photo of trophies you showed there was an interesting item that looked like some kind of grenade launcher. What the fuck is that thing and can you show it to us?
It looks like the placement of the pin on those Russian fuses doesn't really allow for the grenade to be held with the "spoon" in the palm of the hand. Is that not part of the Russian doctrine, then? Also, if it wasn't for the rarity and difficulty of carrying them, I can think of some situations where instantaneous smoke build could be useful, but fingers crossed you get some better kit ASAP.
