This happened in WWII. US soldiers would send home war souvenirs and they would sometimes be stolen or “confiscated” by the people in the mail system. But there was eventually an official system that was put into place so the soldiers could bring back trophy rifles, pistols, samurai swords and things.

to be pedantic, it’s actually not correct to call OG-7V a rocket, it is a grenade being fired by a recoilless rifle. the ejector charge of the RPG-7 is the only propulsion of the OG-7V, and the charge is not a rocket engine, so it cannot be a rocket

Must be like this in many different wars. I fought in Vietnam and many (Not all) REMFs, (Rear Escalon Mother f*ckers) were involved with black market) SP packs were big packages of cigarettes, gum stuff that was supposed to go to infantry along with our C-rations. But we never saw them.
One time my company was withdrawn to our HQ for a 2 say rest, but the HQ got shelled a lot. A sergeant told me if the base was shelled, we’d take a 3/4 ton truck, break through the concertina wire and liberate the SP packs for the grunts. About an hour after we arrived the shelling started and the Sargent and I commandeered the truck, drove through the concertina wire and he went inside the hut and started throwing the boxes for me to stack in the back. Mortars and rockets were still going off as we left and the all clear sounded as we got back to our battalion barracks. It was like Christmas as we drove through kicking out the boxes for everyone. Slava Ukraini! Heroyam Slava!

If not, could it also be thrown just like an ordinary grenade( or a German Stielhandgranate) , if a failed ignition/damaged/wet/missing booster or the like ect....Should occasion occur????

Why don't they make frag warheads that are wider rather than longer? Just curious really. Like, for example, have the warhead be 60mm or 80mm, rather than 40mm. Wouldn't a wider warhead be better for producing more fragments than just making it longer? It's obvious troops desired something like that with their makeshift AP rounds using mortar rounds as the warhead. I guess the main issue with using a bigger round is the increased weight, reducing how many a soldier can realistically carry, and reducing it's range.

I got a ripped off a bit in Ukraine. Took a petrol CRV over to give away. I was hoping to get a £1000 for it. It was a good runner but in Germany a contact said no the army won't buy non diesel cars. Sod it anyway, I wasn't driving it home, I took it to Ukraine to give away. My other friend in Lviv says NO. Someone will buy it. Here the car is worth about 8000 euros! Well great I thought. So went to the border after the humanitarian aid paperwork was processed to officially bring the car in without paying the high import taxes. Handed the car over a few days later, being reassured that I would get paid in time, also I could track the car in an app and see where it goes etc. Went back to the UK, never heard anything again! I mean why tell me someone would buy it when I was willing to give it away? Not really sure what happened. To far removed from its final destination and I don't know who got the money. I don't think it was handed over for free though! Anyway the upshot was that I was so happy to have 'sold' this car and recovered some cash despite the overall loss I incurred making the trip that I went straight out and bought another cheap runner! Now I have quite a nice Mitsubishi Shogun on my hands. I'm going back in a week or two with the car. I've no idea if I'll be able to sell the car properly or not, I've lost faith somewhat. I'm not giving it away. I'll be down £3000 once I've made the trip. Plan is to spend a few months in Ukraine at least and volunteer doing whatever. I'm an electrician. If I can sell the car on great. So if anyone in the armed forces wants a nicely running Shogun Sport for £3000 delivered to their doorstep I'm your man! Cheers.

I know this could be a big ask but would you be allowed to post unedited combat footage like Civ Div does? This would greatly boost your following overall helping you.

Would love to hear your opinion on the C8 carbine. Im glad my country donated them but what do you prefer? i would assume AK is much easier to get in Ukraine.

I love when I see the little QR code above the magazine, I heard that’s the quickest way to tell it’s Dutch donated.
You will see a lot of them appear on azov/3rd assault videos. I believe we send around 10.000 and Canada some more too?
AK’s are probably really easy to find😂 but I am very curious too.

i dont know if this is within your budget, but can you fire a rpg / throw a shrapnel grenade at a target wearing a helmet and vest to see what the odds of survivability are against shrapnel and where it is likely to hit you.

Next time put some soft body armor on the target. We would like to see how effective it is at blocking the shrapnel.
