A recommendation for a watch for Ms. JOMW: one of the Casio LA670 or A159 diamond versions. They’re technically real diamonds, with all the fun of a basic bracelet digital Casio. With this Universal, seems like a decent watch for the price. I like the two hands style, and wish there were more two-handers out there. However, the subdivisions on the minute track seem really excessive, and I might have even skipped the minute track. Just seems a little busy, and without a seconds hand I’d just embrace the minimalism.

It's nice, dial is wonderful for the price and quartz is a good movement to keep it slim. It's not my cup of tea, but my wife really likes it, but even though she has just a 5.2“ wrist, she likes the 40mm better. I wonder, what happened to the slim mechanicals. I have a 1958 Swiss watch with seconds hand subdial, 5.2mm thin. I think someone should bring back affordable slim mechanical watches.
Quartz dress watch without seconds hands and a tiny, tasteful date window: win-win. Of course i don't mind the ladies-gentlemen bias, the 36mm has a correct size for that kind of watch as well.
In that same price range, check out the offerings from Tandorio, Parnis and Corguet. VERY wide range, and I've had a Tandorio diver for over a year as my daily beater; it keeps excellent time and is very rugged. 200m water resistant, sapphire crystal, NH35a movement, screw-down crown and caseback, ceramic bezel and terrific lume...for under $80. The bad: the rubber strap it came on was cheap junk. Now it's on a nice hornback alligator strap from Vietnam, and I still have only about $100 in it. Looks great!
Follow up after receiving the watch - After watching Jody's video, I set my alarm and was able to buy one of the copper dials (it sold out within 15 minutes). I received it in the US on October 9th (it was shipped via FedEx). The dial is fantastic and the supplied strap seems to be better quality than what Jody reviewed. In addition, the Malaysian currency dropped in relation to the US Dollar between the advertised price and the order date, so when I bought it in late August, it was for less than advertised because the sale was conducted in Malaysian money. I think my price was around $85 plus shipping with a total price of $103. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with my purchase.

As has often been said. put your money into what you are going to wear. Got mine today. Took 2 months. Ordered on first day. They sent an email with details of order and it was the wrong watch. Emailed them straight back. They apologised and amended the order but said they had sold out of the one I wanted but were getting some more. I also noted that they had overcharged me and told them so. At first they said it was due to the different currency but I pointed out it was not. They offered an extra strap so I picked one. I received it today and it looks great on both straps but they are a bit short being on the last hole on my wrist. Will keep as I have very few dress watches.
It’s crazy to see a sapphire crystal on an $89 microbrand watch but Seiko can’t put sapphire on anything under 6-700. I like Seiko but that says a lot. This watch looks nice for the money though.
@JustOneMoreWatch Any updates on your watch venture? Nice video - I'd wear the 36mm version on my 5.5 inch wrist but could pull off the 40 as well. I've been wearing my skx009 on a Barton silicon elite and remembering how much I love the thing.
Not one I would buy despite the appeal and the nice looks. However the bigger moan and big niggle is how can Revelot offer a sapphire Crystal on a $90 watch and Seiko still can’t mange to do that on a large % of their overpriced divers? What a great looking watch for the price. Mrs. JOMW is taking her lead from Andrew Morgan.
I hope you review more couples’ watches, Mrs. JOMW is lovely!
Holy crap 10 pm and I get to see JOMW before I go to sleep
Sunday midday for me mate, and I'm in a random shopping mall in the north of Sydney 🤦
It’s crazy to see a sapphire crystal on an $89 microbrand watch but Seiko can’t put sapphire on anything under 6-700. I like Seiko but that says a lot. This watch looks nice for the money though.
Unusual to get sapphire glass on a watch this cheap !
@JustOneMoreWatch Any updates on your watch venture? Nice video - I'd wear the 36mm version on my 5.5 inch wrist but could pull off the 40 as well. I've been wearing my skx009 on a Barton silicon elite and remembering how much I love the thing.
September 30th..... Save the date!
@@JustOneMoreWatch awesome! And congratulations 👏
@@JustOneMoreWatch Is your watch an Scameti Spaghetti?
@@JustOneMoreWatchwoohoo! So excited
Woohoo! Good luck!@@JustOneMoreWatch
Looking forward to more appearances from Miss JOMW.
Hi miss Jomw! First Andy had miss floating hands amd now it's miss Jomw on the watch RUclips world
Cheers to Mrs JOMW!.
The tuxedo version of this looks really good.
You’ve got my attention. I don’t need another watch right now (shocking to say), but at $90, I may have to check it out.
I know right? Unusually cheap....
@@JustOneMoreWatchI really like the salmon and blue!
Like watching an episode of Bluey!! Love it!!!
Not one I would buy despite the appeal and the nice looks. However the bigger moan and big niggle is how can Revelot offer a sapphire Crystal on a $90 watch and Seiko still can’t mange to do that on a large % of their overpriced divers? It just makes me crazy. Nice to see a part of Mrs. JOMW. Thanks Jody.
How can a Casio Duro not have alignment issues?
Seiko wants you to purchase their overpriced higher end model. It has almost nothing to do with manufacturing costs.
Great to see Ms JOMW!
