    "One and done" with G-Shocks never happens, sorry. Good video. My favorite G-Shock is the GW5000U (screw back case made in Japan)

      You have to try the GWG-B1000 on your wrist in the green or burgundy colour and I know you’ll love it. It’s got that heft that you like, its build quality is unreal and needs to be seen to understand. You seem to appreciate the style factor in a watch more so than making use of its functions, which is totally fine. It is slightly bigger than this rangeman, but it hugs the wrist and leaves no gaps between the lugs and your skin. The analog display was a new one for me as all my other G-Shocks have been digital, but I actually really like this. You can tell the time at a quick glance. It also has a digital display at 6 O’clock if you want the digital format. I really think you need to try one and I reckon you’ll fall in love. I have this Rangeman as well as the new Mudmaster (GWG-B1000) and they are both great pieces. They are awesome tools watches that also look stylish, however the Mudmaster wins in the aesthetics department for me. Even though it is bigger it fits my medium size wrist better. ❤ ⌚️

    I’ve worn a G-Shock GW9400-1 Rangeman for 8 years now. Gift to myself when I promoted for Firefighter to Rescue Technician. It has functioned flawlessly during that time. Last year the band tore and I replaced the band and outside bezel. To my surprise the replacement bezel and band were matte black. I had polished my watch to a fine gloss due to years of wear. 😊

    I work in the elements and I use this watch from determining wind direction, determining temperature for safe work conditions. When you work outside in the pouring rain all day you're gonna appreciate that 200m water resistance real quick. I appreciate g shock for making these type of watches for the working man

    Good video. I have this watch. My first one had a problem with that triple sensor, watched repair videos, I ended up bricking it. I had it for about 5 years, did lots of hiking and swimming with it and wore it every day with no problem. I looked around for another watch got a G-Shock G-5600uE-1 which is a great watch but was a bit small, gave it away to a friend. Ended up getting another Rangeman as I like the functions so much and easy to use. I've had the new one for about a year with no issues. I only heard about the lug issue after I got my second one. I'm hoping I it won't be a problem, since my last one is still in tact after 5 years of herder use, I don't think it will be a problem. I would love to get th Victorinox INOX titanium one day as that is a good tough watch.

      It's good to know that you didn't have any lug issues with your first Rangeman, even after 5 years of heavy use.
      I was set on buying one, but the fact that Casio will refuse to cover this type of damage under warranty is ridiculous.
      I don't like to abuse any of my watches, but G-Shocks are supposed to be very durable and not suffer build quality issues.

    If you are only going to own one then the rangeman isnt a shabby pick. Eventually i hope casio will apply their even more improved MIP screens to this classic rangeman which for most will do everything they need & most likely a whole lot of what most wont ever use.

    Im a mechanical watch man myself. I have owned a few G-Shocks over the years mainly for work as they’re durable as hell but i was never really in love with them. Today this rangeman caught my eye big time, not just for the look but the multi-band and tough solar. Needless to say I watched your review and had to order one for myself, cant wait to get it in tomorrow! Subbed.

    There are some sad individuals online who like to gatekeep any negative opinions about this watch; I've found a few on this video alone.
    For the record, I think it's the best value Master of G watch on the market, although I would always recommend the GW-9500 over it, because it improves upon the design massively.
    This Rangeman is feature packed with arguably the best digital module and it has a timeless design, so I can obviously see why it's a fan favourite G-Shock.
    However, unlike more premium Master of G watches like the Mudmaster, Frogman, Gravitymaster and Gulfmaster, this particular Rangeman doesn't come close to them with regards to build quality.

      It's a shame they don't sell that lineup in the UK at all.
      I'd consider a pro trek any day over the Rangeman, as it's built much better with metal lugs that don't fail.
      The new GW-9500 Mudman is the closest thing to it, but I think it's very overpriced.

    I am on the search for the one and done. My only true requirement is large font numbers, easily legible. Solar Atomic is mandatory. I don’t care for all tiny little circles with data points you can’t read. Simple legible screen. Any thoughts? New 9500? GBD-H 1000 / 2000? GW 056A?

    Yup there it is. This watch should last a person a lifetime if this is what they're into. I have been all over the world with this watch on many adventures. But at the same time if it says G-Shock you can't go wrong if you're looking for toughness and reliability. Great review

    • @StardustLegacyFighter

      GW-9400 is sadly not one of those G-Shocks, it has a fairly high chance of failing, due to its poor lug design.

      @@StardustLegacyFighter I have had no issues at all. Like anything else nothing is perfect. So far so good on mine.

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter Год назад +2

      @feardabeard7635 Yes, nothing is perfect, but the issue with the GW-9400 is the poor lug design.
      No other Master of G seems to be affected by this issue, like the Mudmaster lineup - which I'd argue are far tougher than this Rangeman.
      I wish I could ignore the plethora of complaints I've seen about this watch online, but it's like trying to hide a scissor in a transparent pencil case.
      For your sake, I hope you don't encounter this issue, but it's not a risk I can take.

      @@WolfOfJustice I wouldn't say for ballers, but if you a hard worker that's what matters. It all depends on how hard you're willing to work for what you want. The MR-G of Casio is the higher end of their watch line.

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter 9 месяцев назад

      @@69pslimI think he meant that for Casio watches in general, because they're known for their affordability.
      Obviously, the MRGs are expensive, but nowhere near as expensive as some mechanical watches.
      However, the MRG being at the very high end/luxury side of Casio, makes it a watch for those who have more wealth than the average Casio customer.
      I can afford any MRG and MTG watch, but I'm more than satisfied with my Master of G watches, which I find to be more feature packed and reliable.
