I am FakeBuster Ninja, i do comparison between original products and fake products so that you guys can clearly see the differences and not fooled by counterfeit items

Maybe I'm airing the obvious but there is three things I would like to mention. 1. To note the differences, you require both. 2. Choosing the cheapest/or half price offer online HAS TO RAISE DOUBTS over it's authenticity. Finally; 3. Buying the required item, from a reputable company site, at the normal price is the only way to avoid the fakes.. In other words, if the deal seems too good to be true - it most probably is...

Anyway the original is an incredible watch. Have been using and abusing it for three years and it still serves me perfectly. I have been having it underwater, in mud, in a freezer... I wonder how the fake one does in the freezer:p
I really like the record fonction and the stopwatch shortcut, definitely one of the best G Shock ever !

So as soon as I start the job I "record in" and when I finished I "record out" so that way I can record many clients in a day/week without having to taking note in a more traditional way. Of course you can use the record fonction for many other things too...

Yup its true.. Basically the fake one uses the function same like Mudman G9300 but a little bit different.
Good video. I bought the green one last year for Christmas. So far everything is all real about it except for the black seals around the buttons. I toggled with mine exactly like you did in video, It operates EXACTLY like the real one in your video. I just bought a new one yesterday for a mother's day gift to myself. It's either a different type of rangeman OR a mudmaster not sure. But on the manual the model is #5545/5525. I will check it out on a RUclips video to see. But i love it. It's both analog & digital. Everytime I go watch shopping, I should bring you along. Haha! But one question... I noticed at the end of the video, I heard a faint beep from the watch everytime you touched it & moved it, What is that? And what does it mean? Thanks for your video! 😃😊

Buying a pre owned GSHOCK is very tricky. There are way too many fake articles on the market/internet. And without an original to compare, it is very, very hard to recognise a fake. Not only from a Range man, but the cheaper models too. Thanks!

I see the screws on the bezel are set perpendicular towards the display on the original, on the fake one they are quasi horizontally...just my observation.

That was very helpful I have just bought a Casio GW-9500-3JF from a 100% seller in Japan on ebay & it was not cheap so I believe it is real, this was a large outlay for me but I particularly wanted the Japanese version due to it's reputation, could you please do a comparison on this watch if you can, cheers from Australia.

4:55 simple test. if you want to know how to prove the authentic G Shock so you can look at the strap should be not straight.

Easiest way to determine original vs fake rangeman is by looking at the TOP part solar panel grid line.
Original: perpendicular line
Fake: Slanted at an angle

Should show some more units for the fake one. Cause it comes from many manufactures. Some fake units definately the same with the original.

I didn't read all of the comments but among the genuine Rangeman watch does not hold the battery charge for long. I rarely get "High" level for my battery indicator

korang try tekan Adjust + Forward dgn Lampu = bole check Multiband wujud ke tak.. ada J40 J60 etc etc.. (COPY ORI TADAK BENDA NI WOI)
pastu try lagi Adjust + Mode + Reverse = SLR solar test pastu tekan Mode kluar TLT plak.
tutup muka jam SLR akan keluar 8888. maknanya solar tu ok..

Ada satu lagi cara I baru belajar: Tekan butang Adjust + Mode + Forward => semua dot/graphic/perkataan pada screen akan muncul. Kemudian tekan Mode => akan muncul nama city time zone yang sudah set.

I'm guessing that it wasn't advertised as being fake or even a copy. I recall seeing various copy items before, but were branded with a different or similar sounding name, like Ebok instead of Rebok shoes.
It appears that they put a lot of work into the fake or counterfeit one, but of course they are trying to sell them and make more money off of the Casio brand name.
Any suggestions to avoid buying into such a scam? Obviously the biggest would be buying from a reputable outlet or store.

My golden rule: NEVER BUY USED. I know that's not how collecting works, but it works for me. That in conjunction with what you're saying, i.e. buy from a reputable outlet, should ensure you never have to worry. Also, a bit of research not only equips you with tons of knowledge about the watch, technical as well as visual that helps you understand the original's features and appearance, but it can sometimes also give you a chance to cool off before rushing into a disastrous impulse purchase. My 2c worth.
Be careful on sites such as amazon or ebay, lots of counterfeits. You can usually find things like watches available to purchase from the manufacturer so you know it's real.
If you question the authenticity of your g shock, look up the model name (ex. GW-M 5610, the watch on his wrist in the video) and go to the official G-Shock site. View all details on the watch, and scroll to the bottom of the pop-up menu. On the bottom will be listed the weight, weigh your watch and compare. If it's off by more than just a small fraction of a gram, it's fake.
I was once on my way to work and hurrying and my Discman batteries went dead. So I saw some guy on the street selling what looked exactly like Duracell batteries and I bought a pack. Same paint on them and everything. When I got to work, the batteries were dead. I took a good look, and they said “Plenticell” on them! I just had to laugh.
Don't forget about the orientation of the 4 screws on the bezel.

You noted the color of "Reverse", but the font is also wrong, most notably the W in "Forward".

You forgot the outer screws on the face.
The lines should point to the center of the watch if it has never been disassembled.

The one I just received has all the signs of an original (gray lettering as opposed to white, white light as opposed to blue, darker date window, sharper image on the caseback, all seemingly working functions, etc.) EXCEPT the SIGNAL function shown @ 6:30 in the video isn't there, but it DOES have the R/C RECEIVED shown @ 7:00. It's either the best knock-off ever or Casio has changed the programming a bit? Any ideas?

yes it doesn't make sense to buy fake rangeman because we buy rangeman for its triple sensors. if you just need alarm time/alarm/stopwatch just buy genuine gshock with those functions only. you get more accurate time also official warranty from casio

Did you alter the screws on the front of the fake? I notice the original has nicely aligned screws like my own watch but the fake has screws that are not aligned nicely.

If I have a "B" in the ser# / Batch # I have found a build date of 2002 and 2012. Is it also possible it is 2022?

I just received a brand new one and though it's 100% original, the date display is the exact same color as the rest. So keep that in mind. Mine is the late black and yellow.
