My girlfriend (Jessica) has never seen this ad
And has no idea why people are telling her to go to bed all the time.
Sound would be good
OMG the fruit bowl at the kitchen blind that shoots up...you can't plan that shit.
Brilliant!
GhettoMatt
Damnit Jessica, if only you went to bed none of this would have happened.
Some say Jessica is still in bed.
That's one way to open the blinds
Poor Jessica, there goes her childhood. She won't have a father to love for 4 years and then she'll probably spend her school years being bullied for being the daughter of a criminal :(
Should have been 40
1:53 Jessica: "Where's Daddy going?"
Everyone in courtroom: "GO TO BED JESSICA!"
Jessica is my old teacher lol
@@roseeaton4920 no just no Jessica free now respect jess
😂😂😂😂
They need a sequel for texting while driving.... Maybe even Jessica as the subject this time.
At the time of this commercial any girl named jessica at my primary school school used to cop it 😂😂😂😂
*Jessica:* Where’s Daddy going? (Mom turns to Jessica and gives her a look that tells Jessica her father is going to prison, and they won’t see him for four more years)
Thank you for the video.I never watched this ad although I was in Australia between 1997-2000.I think it because I lived in Melbourne
This is more effective than today’s ads.
i'm sure a whole bunch of men in jail, took Jessica's dad to bed.
Geez... This was the scariest thing back in the days.
GO TO BED JESSICA!
I felt sorry for her when he yelled
What happened to Jessica? She was such an amazing little actress and she didn’t know
I've never seen it in full, probably just in parts, but it's still heartbreaking to think of what happens after that moment...
I have no idea why people are finding this ad funny. It is a very serious and truthful display of the drink driving.
bizarreunderworld lol your funny
@@bellaskocic6743 And you're dumb if you trivialise the message in the ad.
What’s “funny” is that he killed somebody and gets sentenced to only 4 measly years. That’s actually sad
@@cjrodriguez3300the Hunter Valley bus driver killed ten people, yet he’s out on bail.
He’ll prob. get an even lighter sentence.
This video brings to bear many things that most drunk drivers simply do not understand or choose to ignore. When they choose to drink and drive, they risk tearing entire families apart, including their own. Is it worth losing everything?
GOOD QUESTION.
Not only that, but if they do end up killing someone as a result of drink driving, they’re also going to have to live with that for the rest of their life.
Love Jessica’s judgemental look like “fk you dad”
dad you deadass messed yo life up n killed that girl frfr
OMHG! I love this ad. He be out of jail now
My right ear enjoyed this commercial
I remember when I upgraded to digital TV in 2003 I saw the 2nd part of this ad in a 16:9 format but the first part was alway in 4:3. I guess they upgraded the video stuff back when DTV was about to start.
His car is clearly a Toyota and the keys he picks up are for a Mitsubishi... I hope someone was fired for that blunder
Wow, you're vicious!
If that was me in Tony’s Situation, I would never drink booze again. I don’t actually drink, but you know what I mean.
Still a powerful ad all these years later
you need to watch on 'HQ' mode for audio. Thanks for the upload!
Has to be said: four years for killing someone seems disproportionate.
@mrsmaeee @mrsmaeee it's on the right speaker channel. Plug in a pair of headphones, and listen through the right ear. Just in case you didn't hear it first time.
So the actor used to deliver pizzas for Maralyna’s Famous Pizza. Bit of a spin to see him at your door.
Why was he allowed to come home on that first night without being charged
It was the 90s
He had to Jessica to go to bed
GO TO BED, JESSICA!!!!
Love this ad. I remember it being funnier, though... did it used to have music?
So......did Jessica go to bed or not?
holy crap this IS scary
@carrots667 There's actually sound in there. Plug in your earphones, it would come out from the right earphone. I tried it when watching this video. Hope this helps!
4 years is not enough for causing death by drinking and driving. It’s not enough for manslaughter of any kind. Murder and manslaughter should be punishable by death penalty.
The window blind did him dirty!
I m sure they once showed all of the adds like that one time late at night.
That was always the funniest part!!!
@glenjamin88 so what do you suggest, the death penalty Saudi style? 4 years is sufficient when the person shows remorse and a guilty plea and is highly unlikely to ever kill another person. Jails should be for real murderers, sex offenders, terrorists etc.
@@abigailwatson1619 Jesus Christ, what the fuck...
@@abigailwatson1619 What makes you think vampires aren't real? :-)
Unrepentant murderers, sex offenders, terrorists, etc., to be specific.
Exactly. (Of course, a good drunk driving ad like this one is one of many reasons why I wish vampires were real; they would use their supernatural powers to help clean up society - such as dealing with overcrowding in prisons, taking out the criminals and sometimes giving the police a much needed vacation, to name a few.)
@@TheMouseAvenger My late grandpa who was a corrections officer for 40 years said prison is for rehabilitation.
Where's daddy going? He's about to get his rectal cavity stretched about yay wide. *hands gestures*
Only 4 years?
Too soon ...
it says it was recorded in 1997 is that right?? in my memory this ad was from the 80s :/
(but my memory is nothing to go by)
isn't it enough that the man in this case has to live the rest of his life knowing what he did?? what is accomplished by sending him to jail except punishing HIS OWN wife and daughter who did nothing wrong??
Deborah Capuano that shows us that mistakes don’t just hurt us they hurt the ones we love also.
My granddad who was a prison official said it's about rehabilitation.
This is funny for all the wrong reasons
1998 I think add was made 😂
Go to jail Jessica!
