- Here's a fairly well known campaign by the RTA, Consisting of a story about a man who as a result of drink driving, runs over a little girl and kills her.
Well known for the quote "Go To Bed Jessica!"
None of this would have happened if Jessica just went to bed. She has blood on her hands

Memorable but possibly for the wrong reasons - although here it is in 2014 and I'm still telling people to "Go to bed, Jessica!"

Poor Tony, he was only released from jail last year. His missus left him years ago and Jessica is on the pipe now. Think Drink driving is cool? Think again!

@@manutdno12001 My uncle Jimmy is mates with Tony's brother...It's a tragic story for everyone involved. The only positive is that Tony made 47 new fruit bowls in shop class in prison.
Ok cool. Having said that, I just remembered the subsequent ad, which made an example out of him, way back in 1999 (I think). That one featured him being sentenced to 4 years imprisonment. He should have been released in 2003, if it were a 4 year sentence. Or if he was in fact jailed for an entire decade, he should have been released before this decade. If he was only released last year, did he get done for something else too?
@@manutdno12001 he consistently threw bowls of fruit at other inmates, they added a lot of extra time to his sentence

This ad or ads like this should still be on TV! Very powerful. I don't think the new ones get the message across enough.

Never not coming back to this pointless part of my life. Legend has it Jessica still hasn't gone to bed either.
Sydney had a guy hitting a kid then yelling at his daughter to go to bed, Melbourne had a wine-glass meter and a guy yelling 'shoosh.' :P

Watching this ad as kids me & siblings would say "goto bed jessica" but now as an adult i really fell bad for that fruit bowl!
