Yay!!! I just finished my hat. Had to decrease in the 4 th stitch and I changed my hook to a 5.5 mm and I did two rows and then a row of SC and another row of decreases and SC until I reached my desired length and it fit perfectly … I have a really small head 😂 I love your videos thank you for sharing
Hi Crystal, I am making this right now… the yarn I used was Hobby Lobby’s I love this yarn in Winter Flowers!! It’s turning out great! Thanks for all you do for the yarny community!!!
Not a big fan of the puff stitch. (doing the stitch) but I needed a beret to match my puff stitch poncho I made. (Your pattern). You are my first go to video's to learn a project. You are a very good teacher. Thank you Crystal! Your awesome! 👍 Can't wait to get started!
I had a request for a beret came straight to your page been following you for over 2 years now. Got to get my yarn and hook ready. I love your tutorials.
Hi ! I watched the whole thing first time ! Was a little weary of not doing it right but you did a Real good job of giving me the Confidence to go ahead and do this ! 😊 I really am looking Forward to making this as it is Do Lovely ! Thank You Very much !!!!!!! Love your Work and Tour Patients! ❤️👍

Hi Crystal... I started making this hat last night but before I go on, you said the increases in each row was to keep our work flat. I am using a 6 mm hook and my yarn is 100% acrylic with a medium weight of 4. Why do I have waves in my work as I lay it flat???
As usual, Miz Crystal, wonderful tutorial! I have a question: if I continue your same pattern for the first five rows for another 5-10 rows, will I end up with a hexagon, such as for a hexagonal placemat? I'm playing with ideas for my spring Family-Keep-In-Touch gifting campaign, and a hexagonal placemat would be a great gift that I could do quickly and prettily. Thanks!
If i follow the video tutorial then it would fit a child so my question is how big should the diameter be before i do single DC all around, the SC and the decreasing round so that i would fit a adult womans head? Thank you ♡
I realize your comment is 2 years old but just wanted to say that she mentions the yarn she's using is rather bulky...for anyone else who might have this issue. That might have something to do with the sizing issue....um...you could do 1 less decrease row maybe?? The reason I said "um" is because I'm drawing a sizing blank lol. An adult hat would be between 20" (sm) and 22"(lg) but you'd make it a little smaller because it will stretch.
@@IDontSuckAtLifeakaJanis3975 yes I love patterns like this , it had so much room to do your own thing, in this case yarn size or needle size doesn't make a difference, you can add or decrease to whatever size circle you want,
Miz Crystal, another question: how can I make an adjustable rim in order to give these lovely headpieces to heads whose sizes I don't know? Is there a crocheted 'ribbon' that I could make and let my recipients know how to use in order to adjust the size of the hat? A thousand thanks for this tutorial!
hey thank u for the video! There are a few issues though... for example if I crochet the exact puffs it ruffles and does not look like yours. My yarn is thinner because I didnt want a chunky one. Is there a trick for that?
I would like to make this hat for a small 3-4 yea old. How many increases do I need to do in the beginning rounds or if someone on here can answer my question would also be appreciated. TIA
I'm sorry, I didn't see your Facebook post... yes, 4 weight should be just fine, the yarn I used was a very thin bulky 5 so I think a 4 will do great 😊
BAG-O-DAY CROCHET & MORE Thank you so much Crystal 🤗 I’m sure that you didn’t see the posts. I truly appreciate you getting back to me ♥️ Thank you 😊 for all that you do for your fans ! We Love You !!
Youn didn't precise in which row from the start you stop to make a double puff stitches.besides, you're holding the knitting too close, so I can't see which row you've reached.
I agree , she is so easy to follow and it looks wonderful.. your a Dynomite Lady Love you and your Family

Hi Crystal, can I make this in hdc instead of puff stitches?
If i follow the video tutorial then it would fit a child so my question is how big should the diameter be before i do single DC all around, the SC and the decreasing round so that i would fit a adult womans head? Thank you ♡

Awesome so easy ty
is it possible to put a bill on this hat to make it look like a newsboy cap?
Could I use a worsted weight for this also? Like a lava cake
Very nice.
How much yarn do I need to make this? Does puffy stitch eat up yarn more quickly?
will a 5.5 hook work? I dont have a 6mm

Hey check out her newsboy hat she make it easy to follow
I followed every step you instructed, but the hat turned out to be smaller than I thought. It becomes a kid's size.
Did you use bulky yarn?
The video disappeared! Audio but no video!
Très joli béret mais il est fait avec un crochet de quel numéro merci
