Even though it keeps the games graphics, it feels kind of real. Like youre in the middle of it. He’s able to make you feel the excitement, horror, chaos, and tell a reasonable story within such a short time

It definitely is enhanced. Feels like the perfect balance between the CG cinematic trailers they do and gameplay graphics. Hurricane is fricken talented.
The lighting makes all the difference, its crazy. Wish WoW had an option for Raytracing like that
its the grounded camera, youre seeing everything from the point of view of the player characters, its a great technique that dosent get used much anymore in modern cinema, everything is big panning shots that take you away from the action so they can flex their big CGI budgets
Because it's not really about the graphics, it's about cinematography and art direction.
Only asmon can look at a random dudes armour and recognise exactly where and when its from. Man is insane.

As a gamer I feel sad for WoW players, their dedication to the game is top notch and still Lizzard is stabbing them in the back.

Because people just try to complain about anything that is absolutely irrelevant nowadays? I'm really sad for these people having nothing better to do. Actually: Just because stuff was not lootable by players, who says that NPCs could not optain stuff in "their story". There are even enemies wearing stuff that players do not wear... so they actually "exist" in the world... people that complain about shit like this really should get a life for sure...
Why does this music get me teary eyed....Arthas deserved redemption and revenge, he was used, he was controlled, his soul watched helplessly as his body was used to kill the people he loved.This is too tragic and too sad.
Arthas is a tragic figure, for certain, but it was his OWN pride that put him in that place. Everything he did that led to him picking up Frostmourne and donning the Crown of Domination he was warned about ahead of time. He still did them ALL.
Pride and a desire for vengeance have been the downfall of many people.
He certainly deserved vengeance. Redemption, though? Nah. He was a proud, murderous man-child who spent too mcuh time sniffing his own self-righteousness. He got what he deserved.
Chris Metzen had said before, Arthas was the Darth Vader of the Warcraft Universe.

He was controlled from the point where he took the sword and put a helmet on his head. Before then, just his ambitious and uncontrolled hunger for redemption...That's why it's called redemption paladin and not a reasonable paladin.
Not close to how tragic they wrote the Lich King’s origin story as. And we all know who to blame.
Why can't they just give us a show or series of movies that look like this?! Screw live action... this would be awesome to watch!!

@@Ashbrash1998 Bcauz live action sets real boundaries and makes it real and organized. In animation/comics u can mkae 30 40 new characters each time and everyone can beat everyone at certain point...

The way Asmongold's eyes lit up even just 10 seconds into the cutscene really makes you understand his love for the game, and how the game USED to be.

All those years farming Invincible, how could you miss a single detail from this cinematic? The creator’s attention to detail and every choice of every little thing to show… forget all the mistakes, this cinematic is a total banger! They should have gotten him to do the final Arthas vs Illidan in Reforged.
If only Blizzard's other trailers were as consistently hype as this
Beating the king back when the expansion first dropped was a massive moment in many peoples lives. When the king died, so did wow. That was the end

I was 21 and had all the time in the world back then. Now I'm just old and busy 😢. Still my favourite expansion and game of all time.
One day maybe we'll get a full length animated Blizzard movie...
Course the writing that goes with it will probably be terrible, but really they should put together an epic story about Arthas like I dunno, the Lord of the Rings movies.
I’ve always said wotlk was the best expansion and everyone always had something to say about that. But here we always are just drooling at the eye candy and how awesome this game felt back then. Wotlk, best expansion ever.
I don't disagree that Wotlk was the best expansion overall. I'm sure the people that believe it wasn't that good were people that have particular biases against it or just havent played it much.
I personally loved Wrath, Cata, and MoP. After MoP, I strongly think the game just wasn't too appealing for many.

That was a fantastic cinematic. So much nostalgia. Wrath was when I started playing, I hit max level around the time Ulduar came out. I wasn't geared enough for raiding until ICC. My guild downed normal ICC a few weeks before Cata launched. Yeah, we sucked, be we had fun. And that entire experience, from level 1 to downing the Lich King has a very special place in my memories.
Still play semi-casually. My main is a frost mage, which was the first character I made, and the one I downed the Lich King with. His total played time is, embarrassing.
There's another mistake:
In sec 0:30 there's a Tauren Fury Warrior weilding 2 Edge of Agony swords. Those droppen from Trial of the Crusader but those were Agility weapons, meant for Hunters.
Amazing cinematic but what is more impressive is how nostalgia is keeping this game alive.
Whatever they pay Hurricane its well worth it. I'm sure every game would love to get videos like that.

I love how this basically says, canon-wise, every ICC raid was canon and happening simultaneously including the wipes.
This is my most favorite raid back in the day, only because my guild got Realm's first from it.❤❤❤
Yes there were boots and the belt in the game for that set back then. I was using them! Was either a BOE drop and I think you could make it with a Blacksmith.
First one I saw was right at the end the orc is wearing a Dragonmaw Clan tabard from cata.

They thought for one second they could get away with having 2 wrong pieces of gear
I love how everybody misses that the cinematic teaches you how to do the bosses.
This is great video. It makes you feel like going through the raid all over again.. all the good moments hit.

With the red ICC warrior armor isn't really a mess-up. The belt isn't even there, that's just how the set looks without belt. And it's not the violet hold boots either, it's just some grey-ass boots. He made it as accurate as he could.
Im glad they hired the guy to make their cinematics, I remember being hooked on Nax and Black Temple cinematics

Fond memories here. The guild I was in at the time got so close to full clear of icc 10 man just before cata launched. Tragic we couldn't get it done... small guild casual raiders.

WotLK was when I raided hardcore. 300 attempts on Heroic Arthas was traumatizing. Went casual for Pandaria and quit shortly after.
This brings back so many memories. I was the guild Rsham healer for both our IC10 heroic and IC25 heroic. Verithria and Arthas 10 man heroic were hell to heal!

Of course that wouldn't work in the scheme of raids, but it would make for a cool cinematic like this.
Wrath was my favorite expansion.
I'm sure the maker threw in the after expansion gear as either foreshadowing to other expansions, or Easter eggs only those with keen eyes who knows the gear drops from every boss would spot.
As someone who has done every raid from Vanilla to the end of Legion before my job made it impossible to play , i didn't notice the out of place gear.

This was the peak of wow. Even if the classic early journey was more enjoyable to some, this is the destination everyone wants to arrive at.
Flying mounts, LFR and LFG as well as all the crossrealm / phasing shit was the start of the end.
Arthas straight up fucking annihilated that gnome in the charge holy shit.
And then thye make the hardcore version of this trailer, half of the people running away when the gate is breached
In the fight with the lich king there is a character with Might of Menethil - lvl 60 weapon......the best mace from Vanilla Naxx Kelthusad 40 man

Another thing to point out: Night Elf DK at the end is female when camera's in front, but is male when the camera's behind.
they should update the detail on some of the class tier armor pieces like they did for Tirion Fordring in that little trailer.
3:30 the other varients of the boots existed iirc, the red ones and the red belt were added later.
The thing is that warrior was the only one who stood forward soo he was rerunning the raid until mount drops.
Asmon was so busy looking at the gear he completely missed the pandaren hunter in the video

The thing I like about these cinematic like this is where the Horde and Alliance comes together against a common foe. Kinda makes you wonder if you removed the faction mechanic from the game and just merged the Horde and Alliance as just one overall faction where the players, Us could play together regardless of faction, like a raid group of 10, 20, 40 man of Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Human, Elves, Dwarves, Draenei, etc all in one group. Kinda the way the game should have been years ago.
I know people are gonna defend the whole separate faction thing but it makes no sense when there's moments when both factions works together against a common foe just to go back to fighting afterwards then unite again. Arthas, Deathwing, Illidan, Sargaras/ Burning Legion, soon the Void Lords/ Old Gods, etc. The only reason for defending the separate faction is for PVP and that's it.
Other MMOs have ditched the separate faction mechanic when the players pointed out that the constant fighting makes no sense, when the factions band together every time against a common foe.
