Hear me out…. Instead of white stripes you do GHOST stripes! Let this baby live up to its name of Grey Ghost! 😮💨 AND instead of saying GT350 on the lower stripe… it says BREW2L…!

I know a guy who built his own car that when doing the GT350 stripes he used his initials instead (BF350 in this case). So a spinoff of the GT350 stripes while incorporating BREW2L somehow to make it personal would be a super cool touch !

I went to body school in the early 2000’s. Didn’t last long, was too young with not enough patience. I did learn that the easiest part of paint was spraying the paint, but also the easiest to mess it up to, but like you say most is fixable. To me the hardest part was all the sanding, seemed to not get anywhere, our first project was a 67 camaro with 4 previous paint jobs that we were taking down to bare metal with da sanders.
Them boys did one heck of a job, they got good instructors to teach them. I can tell you got quite some experience laying paint, your Metallics look amazing, no striping, lays just beautiful.

Turn out really good.i started using high flow air fittings on my guns made a difference from not having to crank the air pressure up to keep the right air pressure at the regulator on the gun when spraying.your right about the nason basecoat spend the extra money and get the other ones axalta makes it has better coverage all paint companies have water down the paint except the high in paint.cant wait to see how it turns out.im waiting on your daddy reaction. man i wish my dad was still here

I’m also down with the no stripes… however, ghost stripes as others have mentioned, or either I tad lighter gray stripes so they’re some what hidden… either way…. I love it… a 65-66 fastback is a dream of mine to have one day… I’ve had 12 mustangs, foxs to present… but, a 5 or 6 fastback is a dream I hope to come true…

Ive been spraying SPI for about 12 years now. With Euro I will generally shoot it at 4:1:1.5. And with my prolite I like it at about 35psi and 1.5-2 turns out from fully closed.
Red stripes could be cool with a red interior. Or some black reflective ones. Or your car, your money, you do what you want. 😂

What do you think? Primer and base coat….nice gun or technique? What had the most influence on the super nice results? I’m glad you didn’t go the Eleanor route though. You’ll get an actual cease and desist letter and the car gets confiscated by the owner of rights of the movie car.
I say no stripes, at least not at the moment. Maybe in the future if you get tired and wanna change it up, but it looks so freaking awesome!

You want the first coat thin n tacky for the next coats. As far as the eyes getting caught in it what size needle n cap were you using? That is a real pretty color my 91 was that silver metallic that was so pretty I can't think of the name right off. But looks good thou from what I seen.

No stripes it looks good one solid color 👌
Had you laid the white first. Then taped the stripes. Then they Gray. Untape the stripes and clear the whole car you would save yourself a load of work. Car looks good. Next time you'll have a different method to try.
I vote no stripes personally. If anything more of a ghost effect
