    I found out about this product on your Devacurl dupes video, and so glad I did! I have 2b/2c hair that's always been on the silky side (i.e. tends to fall flat and I have to work to get volume), but it was feeling extra dull and lifeless lately and I wasn't sure why. Especially after a recent haircut... my hair usually looks great right after a cut but even that wasn't happening. Decided to give this product a try and WOW... after one wash my hair is so soft and bouncy! And dare I say, voluminous. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures. I've been shaking my hair all around today like I'm in a Pantene commercial or something. 😂 I had no idea clarifying regularly was so important. Thanks for sharing your experience, I'm excited about my curls again!

    *Sorry I have so many questions!*
    *1.) Do you prefer apple cider vinegar clarifying soltion? Or clarifying solutions from different brands?*
    *2.) Why do you prefer what you picked and what's the most effective?*
    *3.) When you say clarify every 3-4 wash days, how many times a month would you say you do so? I believe in an older video, you said you clarified once a month because of using a shampoo and co-wash once a week (which is what I do).*
    *4.) Are you supposed to shampoo and condition your hair before/after the clarifying solution? Or can you just clarify and use a deep conditioner only and why?*
    *5.) Do you find it hard to style your hair after using a clarifying solution since you're hitting the reset button?*
    *6.) Semi off topic, but have you ever used Shea Moistures shampoo and conditioner line? If so, what's your opinion on it? I'm struggling to find products that haven't been talked about that aren't sponsored! Seems like no one really talks about Shea Moisture. I started using it and still waiting to see the results.*
    *7.) I started my healthy curly hair journey because of you. Thank you!!!!!* 💜💜💜

      I think she said once or twice a month on clarifying and I'm with you on lines that aren't talked about as much I happen to love Shea Moisture but it can weigh hair down if your hair type is not that thick

    • @TheVintageSoul
      @TheVintageSoul 4 года назад

      @@umahasan3953 I keep hearing that you should either do it once a week or a few times a month and can't find a direct answer! Even the people who do my routine of shampoo once a week and co-wash in that mid week are saying to clarify every week....or a few times a month? Like..which one is it?! 😂 And I've noticed that Shea Moisture is heavy based for sure. But would you say that clarifying your hair prevents Shea Moisture from weighing it down?

    • @umahasan3953
      @umahasan3953 4 года назад +1

      @@TheVintageSoul definitely no on doing it once a week no way, if you feel the need because of excessive build up just wash with a mild shampoo every 3 or 4 days and take it easy on hair products. But clarifying for most is once a month or every couple of months. Twice a month if you really go heavy handed on products and are itchy and showing signs of flaking.. One thing I do is literally dab on some facial toner yes facial toner with a cotton pad and rub on my scalp in problem areas, I find it soothing and gives me a little lift at the root, just make sure there's no alcohol or fragrance crap in it

    Q: So with this shampoo you don't use another shampoo after?
    Q: do you use this shampoo always everytime that you wash your hair
    Q:how many times u need to used it to feel your scalp and hair clean.

    • @kristak9811
      @kristak9811 3 года назад +1

      When using a clarifying shampoo do not use another shampoo after, your hair will get very dry. You can use a clarifying shampoo once a week or every other week, it depends on how many products you use. Typically it takes one wash to cleanse your hair of buildup.

    How well would it be on an oily scalp?

      it works really well for an oily scalp because it contains salicylic acid, and helps to balance the pH.

    The fact that this product has fragrance as the third ingredient as well as linalool and limonene (fragrance ingredients that can be sensitizing) really worries me. Plus the fact that it has potassium hydroxide pretty far up the ingredient list is also kinda freaky

    • @soapturtle
      @soapturtle 4 года назад +10

      As a soapmaker, that just indicates to me that it's an actual soap rather than a modern "soap" which is generally detergent. Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) is used to make bar soap, and Potassium Hydroxide is used to make liquid soap. There's a ton of videos out there on soapmaking if you want to go down that rabbit hole, but I don't think it's an ingredient to worry about. It combines with the oils and becomes soap.

    • @elizabeth3555
      @elizabeth3555 4 года назад

      soapturtle right but you definitely don’t want soap in your hair products because it’s much much much too alkaline. That’s the problem with sodium or potassium hydroxide. It would be ok if a product is then pH balanced, but the fact that potassium hydroxide is so far up on the ingredient list of this product doesn’t bode well for its pH
