But seeing germans with an unreadable map stealing the cultural heritage of mediterranean civilizations, while Germany was almost never a real part of the Roman Empire, is especially laughable and irritating tbh. They're almost the complete opposite of Roma. Forget all those self-proclaimed eagle bannered "successors of Roma". The true successor was and always be the Byzantine Empire.
