- A collection of Boston & Maine clips from the 1950s through the 1970s. Many of the scenes are on the Connecticut River Line with CP run-through power. Thanks to Walt Berko of Railroad Video for the bulk of the material. I've had this put together for a while waiting to add sound, but other commitments have taken a lot of my spare time so I've chosen to publish it anyway.
Always nice to see film of the B&M, my home railroad when i grew up in the 1960s -70s 👍
Nice old footage of C&O GP30 leased power by the CP on the Conn. River line pool trains in the 70s & 80s and around Bellows Falls, VT. and "No" Graffiti !! The Best Era to Railfan well before Mega mergers 1st & 2nd Gen power everywhere in Conn. River, East Deerfield, Ayer, Lawrence, South Portland but East Deerfield was the Best place to be ! 👍
Fantastic stuff.
great video
Loved it 🤎🧡 and 💙 looking forward to watching again with all sound added, 👍
This was the Boston and Maine railroad back then and long before the Guilford system and later CSX
in my opinion,Guilford ruined the B&M
Terrific stuff. Thank you!
Still great! You’ll get to it!👍🏻🚂
Great footage even without sound. I assume the passenger consist with the F40PH at each end was a fantrip?
I believe so. The film was an ebay purchase and had no information included as to dates, locations or circumstances.
Why is it, that anytime that I see a video on B&M, i watch it, and am happy to see it--- but --- at the same time very sad to know its gone.
It's called nostalgia.
i remember taking the b&m budd cars from Gloucester to Boston many many times.loud and stinky
