When I was in elementary school, my parents would let me rent a game from BlockBuster if I got an A on my Spelling Tests. (my parents were horrible spellers, so they wanted to make sure it did not befall to me) so I would always get an A to get my 4-day BlockBuster rental. I had an SNES and they had a copy of Megaman X and Megaman X3 (no X2...) So, being a kid and thinking 3 is obviously cooler than 1, I rented 3. At that point, I ended up only really ever renting Megaman X and Megaman X3 constantly through elementary school. I would even write down my save passwords with little notes to the side of them and put them in the blockbuster case for someone to be able to progress if they wanted to (not knowing Blockbuster probably just threw it away each time). I grew up playing this over and over, to this day I still think the MMX series had some of the coolest music any game has to offer. The balance of awesome and nostalgia in these remixes is shear perfection.
Cool dude! Funny thing is I did so with Megaman 7! I had to rent it several times, because it was nowhere to be found in stores back then. At least not in the city I lived in. But guessing at the prices on ebay for a MM7 cartridge it has always been rare. Rental stores were the shit back then. Such a mysterious and adventurous environment. Back in those days there was no internet, no reviews, one had to take a risk and just try out a game, based on the box artwork. I could never afford more than 2 new games a year! thanks for the comment
@@Metalltool Although the building has been repurposed, there is still a huge blockbuster sign standing in my town on top of a 20-30 ft pole. Good times. I, too, used to rent these games on the weekends and tried to beat them before return time.
That's amazing to hear bro! That's love for Megaman X Me one of my best friend (and now we have kids) we knew each other through video games and basketball. For video games it was Megaman X, Donkey Kong on SNES and FF7 and FF Tactics and so-on for PSX. I remember he thought me that you could hold A while wall jumping so you can bounce off further. Great memories!
I love the progressive nature of your songs. so many covers are just plays on the melody, crazy soloes, over and over but your songs are so much more fun to listen to.
You are the best Mega Man remixer period. Huge fan of the series, have listened to hundreds of various remixes over the years, made fangames of this series, but you're so damn good at this.
This! This and Toxic Seahorse - the best of the Maverick levels. I thoroughly enjoyed your Gravity Beetle cover, I would say that is my 4th favorite on the OST... Your "Under Fire" cover would be #1 if it was in say.. the PS1 version of the game.
You know what's sad? The fact that I just barely found you! I'm a huge fan of your Megaman X3 opening stage as well. Seriously, you and FamilyJules7x have the best Mega Man covers ever on RUclips. Is there any where I can purchase your tracks to support you?? Sorry, I couldn't stop fan-gasming over you haha. I'm truly honored to subscribe to your channel.
That's what I say when the girly girls turn me down , and oh DO THEY!!! i always take advantage of the turn downs. Like they say No And I say Wise choice, cause I'm into ostriches and waterfalls.
Last winter I was walking out of my apartment complex and realized that it was a snowstorm outside. While this happened I wondered why the music in my ears had suddenly stopped. Turns out that this was the song that had started playing since the first 10 seconds are mute, so as I open the door to be met by cascading snowfall and violent winds, the fucking intro starts blasting, almost as if the song wanted to tell me to buckle up and that shit just got real. Felt like I was walking into a war. Just a nice little memory.
Dude am so high right now, and got ultra focused on how you play all the instruments and sounds made by you which is already a feat, and playing them all at different times. Dude so got an amazing talent, you should keep creating music. Hopefully megaman music hahahaha peace
Great work, and I agree with you about those other MMX3 tracks you mentioned as really standing out. I can't wait to hopefully see you do Gravity Beetle in the future
I liked this video before hitting play because I knew it was going to be amazing. 3:30 on the clock, I don't think there's any way at this point it could turn out less than amazing.
I can't expect all of these to be perfect according to what I would want to hear in MMX covers, but so far I can't complain. Another great one. (Can't wait for Gravity Beetle.) Reminds me again of how much I want to play these Mega Man songs. Figuring out how to play songs is hard; I don't know how people do it so well. xD
Your work is exquisite. I make CD's to play in my car and I jam this shit with the windows down. I was listening to your Flame Mammoth remix when a dude drove up beside me at a stop light doing hand-horns out the window towards me as he yelled out "hell yeah, that shit is intense". Was pretty awesome.
I had the same story for that game, found it in a small video game store without the box. I enjoyed most of the soundtrack but Toxic Seahorse and Volt Catfish themes are all times favorite of mine.
This deserves more views. If i'm allowed to do a critic, after the solo it feels a bit empty, like it is needed to bis the main melody (forgot how is it called, but this one at 1:30)
@@Metalltool just wondering, do you feel confortable arranging this song again but just improving the ending? It's sounds selfish, i know. I used to hear this a lot since 2 years i discovered it (discovered you), especially when playing sc2, i would love to hear a version with an improved-powerfull ending

I apreciate it mate! I'm always working on stuff! Don't worry. I have trouble finishing projects though. There'll be a track on one of the christmas days at the very least. It's tradition now.
Glad to see someone else enjoys Volt Catfish's theme as much as I do.
Agree. Its one of my favorites
Me too dude
Gotta love that guitar bro
It’s my favorite Stage theme in X3 and one of my personal favorite x tracks of all time.
Fuck him he's a cheater
Megaman X3 OST was brutal.
Every X game ost was brutal except X2 that one was more laid back
Assuming “brutal” means good here. And I Agree that X2 was more laid back, much like PS1 games.
It sucked to me but when played on instruments it sounds waaaay better. Note worthy was opening, gravity beetle, vile and dr Cain theme
Bankai 😊
This is disgusting! Shredded the hell of that guitar!!
Metaltool casually killing it with every single theme

Buddy this is so freaking awesome I can't tell you how...
god damn the solo basically makes the entire arrange. great work!

Nice. Viking Guitar's mmx2 medley is also excellent. This is great stuff
Also try hearing Breis, they make really good covers too.
Stone McKnuckle's remixes are better in my opinion.
Indeed he is avatar wan!
Love this! A little Peruvian Skies at the end was a really cool and unexpected touch 👍🏻🎸
Thanks! But Peruvian skies? Must be coincidental, never heard it
MAN this song is amazing, just perfect on an electric guitar.
A real electronic monster fish emerged!!!!
So good, megaman snes OST and heavy metal are a perfect match.
Sorry but this is so FRKN Awesome. My Gosh. Hats of my man.

X3 has its flaws(I mean it was HALF FINISHED) but damn the guns and roses theme track was excellent!
Why is this better than the actual theme? Beautiful!!!
Thank you, i've noticed how cool that theme was the first time i played it but it seems a bit underrated. And pretty cool Doom Metal ending!
Nice thumbnail. It's a good idea to show it even in the beginning of the video. More importantly, nice take on the Power Plant theme.
I liked this video before hitting play because I knew it was going to be amazing.

TFW no AUX or FM transmitter.
Okay, so now all I gotta do is mute the TV and play Megaman X3 with this blasting, and I'm in for a good time.
Much better than the Pheonix Project one IMO. Keep up the good work.
