This is like an episode of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe! It'll definitely be an eye catcher when it's all bolted back together and with that Turbo it will wail too!
I think it’s gonna look awesome with that polished tunnel and the orange and black ! Love what you guys are doing and appreciate that you’re sharing it with us ! Sled stuff through the summer months is heaven for us northern boys ! Take care guys 🍺🍺
That tunnel looks AMAZING!!!🤯 Gonna have to polish now every time you look at it just for upkeep, nonetheless, it's certainly going to be another GORGEOUS WEDGE by T'N'Ts custom creations!!!
Cheers guys 🍻🍻🍻 Lovin this build already! It’s going to look killer 👍 Poor Trenton, that doesn’t look like fun, but such dedication for young guy, good on ya! Don’t see that too much anymore Can’t wait for the next video!
Here’s a tip for the kid. Being he has all the rivets out start with a da sander. 150-180 then go to 280 and 320. Then let him start with the 400 grit like he’s doing. It will go 10xfaster plus you get out any deep scratches. I love your videos keep em coming
Those 121 tunnels, Im sure are getting rare. Polaris bare aluminum tunnels. then polaris begin painting them. To find a wedge tunnel with out any ovaled out undercarriage bolt holes getting hard in Alaska. also the cowlings are getting rare up here. most been repaired or pipes melt area etc. Nice to see bulk head just by itself.
You could use that tunnel to shave in the morning 😅 I remember when I had my 01 xc 500 with the 660 polished up like that. She's starting to dull now that I haven't kept up with it...maybe try to buff on her this summer...thanks for the motivation 😂
😂😂 when Trenton started on it he even said. Dad you'll be able to see yourself shave in it. Once you get it to this point it doesn't take much to keep it up. Thanks for the comment
I remember how disappointed we all were when Polaris took the black/red away back in the day.... "what's with this orange crap?" FF to now. I picked the black, orange, tan when I ordered my VR1. Todd, the seat guys you are using, can they do the molded or stretched covers like they put on the old '70's machines? I'm starting a restoration on a 1974 Custom II 400 that my grandfather bought new... pretty proud to be able to own the very first sled I ever drove. Gotta make it like new!
Looks awesome guys!! It definitely is a ton of work to polish aluminum. Hey my friend, where do you source your decal kits from? Or are they going to be custom from your decal lady?
I know his pain with polishing aluminum, it’s just miserable. When I port most things I’ll bring the exhaust ports to a mirror polish and that’s a whole different kind of miserable 😂 one thing I’ve found that helps polishing, atleast the fins on some cylinders is heating up the aluminum with a torch and letting it cool. I’ve got a chainsaw cylinder my buddy wants polished on the fins for a “race” saw that I’ll be working on soon
I bought an Indy 600 xcr just for the bolts and hardware cus they used all titanium bolts and nuts on the entire sled , I'll tell you that total weight savings is around 100 pounds , I'm taking all that expensive hardware and using it on my 2000 triumph 600
Are you guys going to make the turbo setup work on the 650? Would have been awsome, only seen one other video on youtube with a indy 650 turbokit but the bearing was seazed.
The black and orange theme should be a sharp looking combo. The polished tunnel looks amazing.
Thank you
Trenton looks like the kid off the movie sand lot after the vacuum cleaner blows up 😁
🤣🤣

Good lord, Trenton is polishing professor!! Can't wait to see some orange! 🍻

It's worth all of the work 😄
Think it's gonna be a gem, man that tunnel is mirror quality 😮
Should be a show stopper 😀

Don Sukup can help you with that. Dr Mario also known as
Geez! Trenton looks like a West Virginia coal miner!
🤣🤣

The Sled printer is on board for this build
This is gonna be an awesome build!! Have you guys come up with a name yet for the build? I’m excited about this turbo wedge!!!!
Im juggling around a couple names
Close to what? Thats Insane. Love it.
Haha he's not happy with the finish yet 😅
Sweet

Great advice. Good luck with the saw
When the 92 orange 650 came out I didn’t care for the color. Now I wish I had one. 🤦♂️
I hated the color 🤣🤣. Now totally in love with it. Just one more of Polaris's mind games 😂😂

Dang good to know
It's only a pound and a half but it's also unsprung weight....Trenton looks like the tin man.
Yes he does 🤣🤣
Trenton looks like he needs a respirator 😅
He was wearing one. Hard not to get that shit all over you 😂😂
Are you guys going to make the turbo setup work on the 650? Would have been awsome, only seen one other video on youtube with a indy 650 turbokit but the bearing was seazed.
Yepper it will be a 92 Indy 650 turbo
Todd him joints are all going to weigh the same unless you go with titanium hardware,
I was weighing a complete stock steering arm to a complete light weight arm
was this the sled you bought that had the single turbo and u drove it on the grass in the previous video last month ?
It's the xcr that we had in the video
Wouldn't it it be great if it came that way factory.
For an extra 10 grand I'm sure 😂
How much does a snowmobile cost
@@vancebashforth9554 depends what one
I need a new engine for my artic cat zr 600
That’s a big no thanks. Between putting the hours in I do, and as hard as I ride that tunnel would be scuffed with boot marks on its first ride.
Definitely not something that everyone will want to do 😁🍻
do you still have the xlt ?
Yepper. It will be for sale once I pull all of the turbo stuff off
