Good morning Bondo and crew. Concrete is hard work. You guys make it look easy. True professionals! I would love to have a shop that big. The weather has been amazing. Enjoy your day and weekend brother.
I remember laying concrete back in ‘81 and it was full of steel slag. As we troweled it off little black pebbles (about 1/32”) of slag would rise up in the cream. It was a bit of a headache trying to smooth the surface.
@@bondobuilt386 I heard your comments about circle T using more pure ingredients and reminded me of that pour that had slag. I assume they use it as a cheap filler. I don’t finish concrete for a living, but I love watching your work. Keep it up!
@@bondobuilt386 yeah it looks like it would work fine for keeping frost out, just never seen that before. Just being a smart ass sorry! keep up the great work!
@@BooM-HeadsshoT no that was a good question. A lot of people never seen it done like that. The building owners learned how to form this by watching my videos and asking me questions
Why didn't you use a conveyor Ron to save a few $$. Bad ground, not enough reach, or just wanted an "easier" day? Great job as usual which goes without saying 👍
I’m having a 40x60 pad being poured. We had a fair amount of rain the other night and I was wondering how dry should it be before they bring in the gravel.
@@pjfan173 it depends on the ground. If it’s all clay then let it dry out but if it’s better free draining soils then you could get started laying in the base. I find wet clay will punch up into your gravel and ruin it if it’s put on wet clay. Driveway fabric will help also if it’s wet to keep gravel from getting contaminated with clay.
Why did they put gravel on top of the cement foam board? I always thought the sub-base gravel should be under the foam and then your radiant heat and wire mesh lays on the cement foam board?
You the MAN. And my boy ROW.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Rowan is like waking a teenager in the morning
He really is lol
Beautiful job. Customer should be happy with that. I know I would be.
They were super happy.
Damn biscuit is looking good. he lost alot of weight
Yes he sure did.
How could you not be happy, nice work. Let’s see those cuts! Appreciate you sharing Ronnnn 😂
Thanks glad you enjoyed the video buddy
Beautiful job
Great job, guys. That's a lot of concrete to waste when priming the hose.
Thanks we could have saved it if needed.
Man yall got it done ✅ different then how we pour in Florida but man still the same outcome

Thanks for watching all the way from England that is cool.
Pouring on sandy dry base, and having a windy day with direct sunlight beating on the slab can be a tough go, nice job.👍
You are not kidding my friend. lol
@@bondobuilt386 Gee, I wonder how I know that? 🤔 It’s good to be retired! LOL

Always hate when a machine doesnt start !! Luckily it wasnt the only machine you had there ! Good job though Bondo !!
I always bring extra power trowels. Ask my why. LOL
How's the guy in the plastic chair. He looked parched. I'll bet he revived at beer:30. Nice job as usual guys! See you next time!
That bag of bones didn't help at all then wanted to drink our beer. LOL

@@ppainterco thank you sir I appreciate that.
That is a lot of dirt to heat! Can't say i've seen one poured like that before!
I have done many this way and that dirt acts as thermal mass. Once up to temp they stay warm real easy

Appreciate your videos.. nice work. Any chance you would do one on fair estimating/costs . I’m in northern Michigan. Thanks..
I can look into doing that type of video.
HOW MEANY YARDS OF CONCRETE WOULD IT TAKE for a 500ft long60ft wideand 8inch thick slsb????????????
740.74 yards lol
Length x width / 81 for 4 inches. For 8 just double it.

No foam under that radiant system?
How Big is the Shop Ron?
40 X 80 if I remember correctly. LOL
Wow....I catch myself often talking to Rowan when he makes his appearance on the Video....Yikes...Might be something wrong with me!
I will let him know of his fans. LOL
Explain why the red heating lines run different ways and different spans
I have many videos on my channel of how to install the tubing check them out.
What sealer did you spray on? I'm doing a similar floor.
It was Chemaster 309 water base cure and seal.
Why did they put gravel on top of the cement foam board? I always thought the sub-base gravel should be under the foam and then your radiant heat and wire mesh lays on the cement foam board?
It is just another method. It makes forming the haunch and getting that insulated less difficult. there is a gravel base under the entire slab also.
Hey Ron, great job. I’m surprised they didn’t put a vapor barrier under that floor.
We did use a vapor barrier you couldn’t see it because it was under the insulation and covered with sand on the outside where it stuck out
@@sc8106 Yes you did 😀
Yup they put it under the foam
