    Hay Ben, nice to see you back making videos! Good introduction. Here is a little info you may know. The trigger group is a Discovery / Maximus variant. Baker Airguns handles some nice mods for the breech and trigger. If you want to put a better quality more accurate breech mounted scope on the 362, replacing the breech will be needed. Also there are great experts and information for this air rifle on the Gateway to Airgun forum.

    Sorry for my noob question, I've always been wondering why break barrel or pumper rifle like this doesn't have a removable buttstock? Is the recoil so great? Thanks.

    • @GuidersGunGuideGGG-USA
      @GuidersGunGuideGGG-USA  Год назад +1

      For break barrel rifles, the forces at play with the double recoil mean that a sturdy, single piece stock would be preferable...generally speaking I would think.
      For pumpers, the Crosman 1377/1322 have after market detachable stocks.
      In truth there's probably largely a cost component to it.
      Nothing here is definitive and just my hot take.

    Man that looks really nice, and it's about time they introduced a model with an easier pumping effort. I have an old 392 and it's a bear to pump 8 times. It's doable, but after a while it gets a little annoying. I also don't like the brass barrel being soldered to the pump tube (392 and 397), it's much more difficult to replace if you even can. Anyway, if they've gotten closer to the easy pump effort of a Daisy 880 or 822, that's great. I also have a couple of old 880's and a really nice 822 with wooden stock/forearm. And all of my daisy pumpers have the high pressure upgrade parts available from Daisy, which is pretty awesome and you'd never go back to stock again. And, I have one old Crosman 2100 that I built a wooden stock and forearm/pump arm for, it's just great, love it.

      Awesome post! Thanks for sharing.
      It is definitely easy to pump. I like the pumping better than my 1977XS (880 wearing black). The square grip is annoying on the 880, imo.
      Crosman did a great job on that for this gun.

      Thank you for the kind feedback. The cocking handle is the same one that is stock on the 13XX pistols. It's not impressive by any stretch. I just finished replacing the breech with the Crosman steel breech and an extended bolt probe and handle from Alchemy Airwerks. Same setup I have on my 1322 you see in my other videos. I'm not aware of any clubs in Augusta but there is a monthly shoot that happens in S.C. that I've been meaning to get out to.

      As I mentioned in the video, these advertised numbers are based on ideal atmospheric conditions, the right ammo, and the gun in the ideal lubed conditions.
      Common misconception among air gunners is that because they personally failed to achieve the advertised velocity that it isn't possible or that the manufacturer is lying. That's what "up to" means.

    • @GuidersGunGuideGGG-USA
      @GuidersGunGuideGGG-USA  Год назад

      Being a Retired American Soldier, I would say either zero-five-thirty or fifteen-thirty (depending on which side of twelve-hundred hours we're on), but I may also say zero-five-three-zero or one-five-three-zero depending on situation and quality of the communications link. Just so, outside of time keeping, I'm in the habit of saying each number of a sequence individually. Be grateful I didn't say "Crosman tree-six-too"; I've managed to fight off that part of my training. In that I have a global audience, the auto sub title function is best served by clarity and reduction in risk to ambiguity.

    362 for $110 or 1322 for $50?

    • @GuidersGunGuideGGG-USA
      @GuidersGunGuideGGG-USA  Год назад

      There are some significant differences that might matter to some for the price difference. To achieve similar performance, a buyer of a 1322 would need to spend equal to more money on additional parts as on a 362. Even then, the 362 achieves its performance levels with fewer pumps than a 1322 meeting those numbers.
      They're simply two very different airguns.
