    I ordered one of these several weeks ago. Out of the box, I pumped 6X, took aim from 10 yds at a steel 4 aperture target face with a ringer steel plate behind it. Shooting at the one inch aperture, ding!, second shot - ding! third shot, same thing!! Immediately got out a paper target, aimed at the bull, walked over to see a dead center hit. Don't think I ever had any such result with a new gun. I now have the second 362 with the metal breech, and will give the first one to a young friend who expressed interest a while ago. Donnie did not mention this gun is made in USA, and I think that is worth noting. It feels quite solid - all the cocking arm linkage looks strong, and I believe it is easier to cock than my Sheridan, and about as accurate. I do think the "clack" noise of the cocking arm closing is noisy, especially for hunting. Maybe Baker can soon offer us something to help that. Donnie speaks the truth, you cannot go wrong with this gun, amazing work, Crosman!

  • @lon8983

    Have one in .22. Added a handle extension to stop pinching and aid in pumping. Put on a steel breech and scope. Replaced the 21" barrel with a 26" Maximus barrel. Added a TKO and reduced sound even more by adding a paper and PVC over-suppressor. Drilled out the tranfer port just a little. Velocity maxes out at 10 pumps. Now shooting over 17 fpe. Very accurate. Trigger is a weakness, but it started at $99.

  • @jdjohn4360
    @jdjohn4360 Год назад

    Great gun at any price. I added a 3D printed scope rail long mount stabling the barrel from twisting added a 4x16 scope a moderator and attached a bi pod to the ,mod adapter. The pump arm now fits perfectly between the bi pod when pumping and can remain on the gun. Good fun to shoot easy pumping and now very accurate. I did take some time before it started shooting as well as it does now. A good cleaning of the barrel tighten all screws stabilize the barrel with good mount have fun.👍

    Stock, my 362 numbers are pretty close to yours. I then put on a solid brass ambidextrous breech that has a flat spot for the stock sight. A BSA RD30 red dot. Stainless steel w/magnet extended bolt probe, longer bolt handle, larger transfer port, and a Buck Rail (very inexpensive) silencer with a front post/sight. I took the trigger assembly apart and did some light polishing. My Lyman trigger gauge reads 3 lb 12 oz. Using 14.3 CPHPs, 8 pumps, and a 10-shot string, I averaged 653 fps & 13.54 fpe. 10 pumps produced an average of 693 fps & 15.24 fpe. 12 pumps made an average of 722 fps & 16.54 fpe. At 12 pumps, my 362 dumps all of its air. At 15 pumps it does not. My biggest dislike of this gun is how damn loud it is to pump up. Those clapping sounds echos clear across the lake. Any hearing abled critter within a 1/4 mile will hear that thing being pumped. It's ridiculous. I have tried removing the magnet. I have added padding to the main tube. I have even filed down the ribs on the inside of the pump arm. While all those things helped, it was a small help. Until Crosman or someone else comes up with a solution to that clapping noise, my 362 will be collecting dust. May just give it to the grandkids. Oh, and keep an eye on that pivot pin. Mine needs to be tightened regularly.

      @BakerAirguns  2 года назад +4

      Thanks for the input! Just a head's up...we had some valve failures when exceeding 8 pumps. Not every time, but sometimes. Totally feel you about the pumping noise.

    Congrats on a great video and one of the first 362 mod videos. You know there will be lots! I loved mine instantly and owned two within days. I will have to check out your Aluminum breeches and other parts. The 362 has so much potential for mods I have only been slowly thinking about what I want to do to it. I was going to add a steel breech a nice adapted picatinny rail but maybe just a scope direct to the dovetails. Leaning towards a tactical/1-4x type of scope but that's just me. Right now closer range works better for me. Moderator is probably a good idea. Your barrel looks slightly longer but I imagine that is because your Aluminum breech moved it forward (?). By the way .. the little magnet in one of mine broke after only 200 pumps or so. But you can order replacements online easily. It is just necessary to pick the exactly correct size of magnet but I did find them. Maybe a little mod is warranted with the magnet. These are fragile, so a little bump-stop or thin layer of rubber over the handle magnet might be a thing .. I suspect it will be.

    It’s funny, I stumbled upon this gun, didn’t know they came out with it and now I want one. Not sure why? It fills no need or hole in my collection. But I can just see myself shooting it often and enjoying no recoil, no special wizardry in how to hold it and not having to deal with a PCP pump.
    Is it easier to pump than a Benjamin 342 or 392? Those guns are not fun to plink with as they suck to pump up over and over.

      My modded 1322 hits 670ish fps using Crosman premier 14.3gr hollows with 15 pumps, and it LITERALLY shoots pellet on pellet at 20 yards, the mods I have done to it are as follows...
      1. Steel breech
      2. Longer bolt probe
      3. Larger air transfer port
      4. Super Hp pack valve
      5. Brass Barrel Band
      6. Brass pivot pin
      7. 14 inch barrel
      8. Carbine Stock
      9. Stiffer Hammer Spring
      10. Polished Trigger
      It shoots so freaking good, my favorite airgun ever...I'm thinking if the 362 is as moddable as the 13XX's are, you could probably get some pretty gnarly numbers out of it. Just like the 13XX's

    Funny, no mention was made of the 392 as a comparison!
    The 392 reviews are talking about 75-100 yards -- with no mods; whereas 362 guys seem stuck, at best, to 15-30 yards -- WITH all sorts of modifications.
    Hmm, I wonder which gun I should choose?

      Anyone talking about 75-100 yards with a 392 is on the drugs.

      @@ALLTHINGSAIRGUN My mistake! There is a guy, "Rick", YT guy who shot a golf ball at 75 yds., but that shot was made with the 397; not the 392.

    This gun is a piece of crap. I bought one a few weeks ago and I've tried everything to make it group under an inch at 10m, and it just won't, not with any pellet, at any number of pumps. Scope or irons. Junk. No need for power if you don't have accuracy. I've put over 1000 rds through it, re-crowned it, made a barrel spacer for it.. nothing helps.

    Sorry but the wood gave crossman style. All plastic and all black. I'll save my money !
