The colourwork vest and linen shirt combo is STUNNING, the fact that you made it in such a short space of time is amazing - my colourwork sweater vest has been on my needles for about 11 months
Your knitting is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I feel you put way too much pressure with so little time on yourself to knit and finish your other two projects. Give yourself grace to realize this. The vest you knit is flawless and truely beautiful!!!!
The pieces you finished are gorgeous! They really have a very professional quality. Don't be too hard on yourself! I am a perfectionist, so I know what it is to set my standards and goals (way) too high and almost always get disappointed in the end because I couldn't finish what I planned. The fact that you were able to finish these 3 amazing pieces is incredible, doesn't matter how long you worked on them. Don't forget that its already very inspiring that you have the knowledge and skills too make these pieces! I am in aw of what you can make just with some yarn, needles and youre hands. Keep enjoying this craft!
@@thegretaverse837 Thank you! Am in the last push and should finish today! Just watched your video on the yarn you bought! Oh my gosh now I want to go to Shetland too! My veil is knit with Jamieson's of Shetland yarn, so was already started to be tempted and your haul sealed the deal :P
Thank you so much, it was painful but hopefully I can go back to it after some time has past and fix my mistakes. I'm glad you enjoyed the video---more coming soon!
I also live in California and knit wool wear to sell to other people. they probably live in colder climates like where I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I am going to London in January therefore I am needing a couple of pieces just for that trip. I may never wear them again but one must stress appropriately lol
You did such an incredible job on these garments!!! I'm sure the sweater would have been lovely despite the funky shoulders. Just wanted to let you know that in the reveal shots the music was louder than you were. I would rather hear your voice!
Sorry, I was trying to find the name of the blouse pattern you made here, but it’s not listed in the description. May I ask what it’s called? Even after all the tears, that vest looks amazing. I hadn’t seen the pattern, so I’m glad I watched this because it’s definitely on my to make list now. 😄
The blouse photo is an approximation, as the actual blouse photo is currently missing after my move... if there is interest at a later date I may digitize my pattern and have it available to download. I believe I found it originally in a tag sale-- though most 1940's button up blouses are pretty similar so you will most definitely be able to find a similar one on Etsy! I have found that the fabric choice also is a huge help in evoking the time period! Hope this helps and thank you so much for watching.

Loved the video ❤ What is the name or number of the blouse pattern? It looks by the envelope its a true vintage pattern. I would love to make a beautiful blouse like yours. ❤
sad that the sweater didn't work out, but oh my god i'm obsessed with the way the linen shirt and the vest look together. the way they just match up so perfectly and how nice the colours look it's wonderful
The vest and the cardigan turned out so cute! And they pair very well with the blouse 💖 still wish you would have shown the marylin sweater, I‘m sure it is stunning as well :)
Hi, I would love to know the name of the pattern for the cardigan, which you wear in the beginning of the video. I like the texture and the two colours. 🙂 It looks great.
I don't knit (something about having to coordinate two sticks and hands just doesn't klick for me) but this was a very enjoyable watch and I just loved the chaotic energy of your opening line. So sorry aboyt the sweater that didn't want to cooperate but the ones that did turned out so beautiful! Also I really love your wallpapers.

I think you are a gifted knitter and your jumpers are stunning! I can really see you moving to Scotland one day.
Watched this while frantically knitting my veil for my wedding in less than a week, you inspired me to keep going :D
I am so glad you enjoyed it! I hope your veil turns out beautifully and congratulations on your wedding!!!

Oh my goodness, it's going to be so pretty. Just cheering you on from the side lines. You got this!! 💜
Such inspiration, fabulous!
For the buttons, you should have ordered them to where you were staying in Shetland and sewed them on while over here, shipping yourself instead 😂
It's hard when you Want the projects done at a certain time. It will happen, takes time & you have amazing talent!
You are so talented! It pained me to see you so upset about not finishing the sweater, I just want you to realize how proud you should be of yourself!
Thank you so much, it was painful but hopefully I can go back to it after some time has past and fix my mistakes. I'm glad you enjoyed the video---more coming soon!
“Honey I can see you” cracked me up! Obsessed with your cozy striped ‘hugs you back’ sweater. You show great fortitude and creativity. Great job!
Thank you so much for the support! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!

I also want to know the pattern name and number. It's a stunning blouse, especially in linen. ❤

@thegretaverse837 Thanks, I would be interested in a pattern if your going to digitize it in the future.

I used Susan Crawford's pattern "Hutton" -- I got it out of "Laine" magazine! Thank you so much and happy knitting!
