    Greetings from South Carolina, home of the MTB! Marshall Tucker Band is a good thing to get hooked on! The first 10 albums feature Toy Caldwell and are all fantastic! How do I know? I've been listening to them for 51 years!

    Great video man and playing! Thanks for posting. I’ve had the pleasure of taking drum lessons from Paul T. Riddle and in 1995 he asked me to teach his students while he played for the Allman Brothers while Jaimoe was ill. Then Paul T. Had a band called Seven Moore and I saw them performing this song at the end of the show. Wow! I never got the pleasure of seeing Toy play. But I love love this Lp and there others. Paul came down to my house last year and just tore up my kit! I would post some of that but I respect his privacy. My band at the time played at Doug Gray’s wedding. The band has had a big influence on me as well as tons of people around the world. 🎶. Good stuff.

    If there's a better song than this, lead me to it. When we lost Toy, we lost one of the best ever. Love MTB. I'll be listening to these guys until the day I put my cue back in the rack.

    Very nicely done my friend 👍👍
    I grew up a Southern Rocker (MTB, CDB, Blackfoot, Delaney & Bonnie, NRPS, JJ Cale, Outlaws etc.) MTB always seemed to lean a little towards the jazzy side, so very tasteful. Sweet & smooth

    Fun fact about your album there. There are in fact two versions of your vinyl . One is a misprint ( very rare ) including on the cover cant you see live. It was supposed to be on that album but got pushed to the searching for a rainbow album

    I wonder if Garcia's - Eyes of the world was influenced by this song? I first heard Marcus King play it and was just floored....it was so Garcia and Steely Dan esq (my two desert island bands) that it stopped me in my tracks. Had Marshal Tucker Band had a better singer that song would have gone straight to the top of the charts.....Marcus King's voice absolutely sells this gem!

    • @theguitartundra
      @theguitartundra  2 года назад

      I’ve not really listened to Marcus King’s version so, I’ll rectify that.
      The Dead and Steely Dan are important to me too - and ‘Eyes’ is such a great tune 😊
