As a Drummer i always was impressed with the drummer especially on this performance. ( I can't think of his name at the moment. Guess that happens when you turn 72 yrs old 😆) Love TMTB!! 🤠🌲🌲🌲 🎼
Paul Riddle, the drummer would make a dead elephant get up and dance. I saw the original MTB 3 times in the late seventies and I’ll never forget it. All the musicians were so good together. Toy Caldwell, Tommy Caldwell, Paul Riddle, George McCorkle, Flute and Sax player Jerry Eubanks and lead vocalist Doug Gray. Very fun band in those days and their music was so damn good!
Paul! How could I have a brain fart like that?! 🥴 Yeah, I saw the same line up in concert twice. ( Not enough for sure!) A couple of bands I was in, ( Drummer) we covered a lot of MTB. Songs. Always my favorites. " Last of the singing cowboys" is still a favorite. Thanks! 🥁🌲🌲 🎼
Doug, not only doesn’t do it justice, but throughout the concert he often goes off script and ends up off key. It’s really annoying. He’s high on something. The concert could have been so much more. I followed the MTB from their earliest days until Toy’s death. They were one of the best things to come out of the 70’s. Some of my happiest memories. Many thanks!

So this was a reconvening a year later after Tommy died wasn't it in the car crash?
Yes, Toys’ brothers Tim and Tommy both died in car accidents. You can tell that Toy’s demons were haunting him.
@@allenpadilla2531 yeah I remember both brothers very close to the same time.
If I remember right though he didn't play any music though.
1:58 I had to listen a couple of times. I don’t think he’s saying “as soon as I kiss the lips of another woman”
Yeah, he went straight to Rated X
Toy sang this on the original recording. His voice was shot by the time this was recorded. Doug doesn't do it justice.
Agreed. Plus in concerts he was usually either drunk or high and tended to mumble a lot of words in songs. Sure love their music.
