Fix on failure. Not the way I would maintain my equipment but amazing what can be done by a determined, experienced crew in the circumstances.
They probably only changed the tires after the one popped causing it to go in the "ditch" and kill the driver

Lets take a 10 ton object and support it with small blocks of wood... seems legit to me. These men are brave.
That's how you support anything big like that jack stands will not hold it and you don't want to use concrete or steel.

Good and hard work, with minimal machinery. I am very much afraid, however, that it is not the best work that should have been done. The wheel is off center and will very soon destroy the bearings and other mechanical parts due to material fatigue.

As a child, fixing my bicycle tires, i was always taught put some sand between the tube and tire, it helps with the wear pattern. LOL

А что, никому в голову не пришло снять колеса и их отвезти в ремонт а не везти весь каток ?
Столько лишних денег и времени было потрачено, во-первых: на кран чтобы поднять каток, два раза, загрузка и выгрузка, во-вторых: на грузовик чтобы отвезти каток. А ведь можно было просто снять колеса и на мотоцикле с кузовом отвезти колеса в ремонт.

Wasted a lot of time and gas by using that cutting torch to heat. Should have used a welding torch with the biggest nozzle, would have got it red heat in no time and over a much bigger area. Regards from Australia.

Any place else the rims would be thrown away because they are garbage, cannot be repaired properly, and are a safety hazard. It is only a matter of time before the rims fail again and there is another accident and another cycle of moving from garbage to garbage begins again.
