If they shock the scamp then it does 1 damage when it dies, then swiftspear and heartfire each hit for 2 then after combat you can burn together the heartfire hero for 6 since it gets a counter from being targeted, putting them at -1.

    ~2 months ago I was able to go from Plat 4 to #150 Mythic in like 4 hours w/ this deck (sans the new Bloomburrow, cards which I believe make the list strictly better). Games last like 2 minutes max so the amount of games you can spam is actually unreal. As an aside, Blazing Crescendo is the only card in the list I've been toying around w/ replacing, as 1 CMC cantrips feel waaaaaay better in games where Slickshot is your main wincon. Shock so far has worked out best for me (it's actually great in the mono-red mirror when you are on the draw and can kill one of their creatures), but Might of the Meek might actually be strong enough to work, as even with only 8 mice in the list you are likely spending 1 mana to draw another 1 mana spell which will trigger your prowess creatures an additional time. Demonic Ruckus also has worked quite nicely for me; It's a great turn 1 when you don't have a 1 drop creature, plus the card advantage and menace have definitely won me games which I should have lost lol.

      @ribbitfroog 2 месяца назад

    A lot of people playing bo1 ladder are just running 12-16 pieces of 1 mana removal at this point. The meta is completely borked, doesn't matter if its fling, mice, rabbits, frogingbird, otters or lizards, they all kill you on turn 3-4 and need absurd amounts of removal to not die instantly. I see black decks with 4x cut down, 4x disfigure, 4x dead weight. Can't even rely on GFTT / long goodbye, its just too slow especially if you have any taplands
    I think its the only time in magic's history that standard / type 2 rotated and became much faster / more pushed. Tons of good control cards rotated out and BLB was just tons of extremely pushed 1 drop aggro cards

    Not that I think it's on the same level and is quite ban-worthy, but Monstrous Rage has the same feel to me as like, Faithless Looting. It's just a bit too much for the cost and being an instant, given the +1/+1 and trample sticks around (and hell there's even that potential extra 1 damage if ever required) and really is what enables mono-red and things like this to be so fast in Standard. I suspect it's gonna be the top of the new list of cards people will be happy to see gone and/or are the reason they're unhappy that rotation is so much slower.

    Keeping a 1 lander on the draw in a deck with 20 lands means you have a 44% chance of not hitting your second land drop. So the question is: would you prefer to go to 6 cards or have a 44% chance of losing on the spot?

    you can turn 2 if you switch the deck to black red green
    its just a hefty combo and if ya dont start with it in your hand Arena will do the cool thing where it wont give you the cards you need

    Seth, have you tried flinging all the goyf style creatures? Then you could call it Milfling

  • @theblakwarior
    @theblakwarior 2 месяца назад

    34:55 ok so, mon rage does like +3, right? So you got 3 from swiftie, 4 from the hero, then, if you cast it on scamp, they may kill it, but you get 1 anyways. Then you fling the hero for 10. By my count that is still lethal at 18 hp.
    If they kill after casting the fling, then you only get 15 damage. But you still got lethal on board.
    I'd say, pump the scamp.

    vs midrange if you have a lot of creatures just run out the slickshots you are missing 1 dmg in the air every time they sit in exile. Plot is ONLY good vs boardwipes and green fight removal. And rarely if opponent leaves mana open instead of curving out

      Yeah, I mentioned that in the article. Technically the black mana is optimal because you might want to cast Callous Sell-Sword, but I don't think I've cast it a single time in all my games playing the deck.

    And imagine, you can build this deck as Gruul. (Sell-Sword is never casted as a creature, so he is just a 1 red mana fling). Gruul is slightly better unless you want to side more black control than what SaffronOlive did in this variation of the deck.
